I noticed you were using the same wheels I chose for my 1/14 MJX's. Temu has the Hobbypark 1/10's on sale for a few weeks now. $10 per set, absolutely nuts. I got tires for life.
no problem,, yeah man, you gota open the back up to let that air pass through especially running at higher speeds. also make sure the body is completely attached.. any gaps in the front will have it lift up on you too. I called my self stuffing my gps under the body and left a small gap,, it lifted like a airplane taking off.
You need the suspension of the typhon or granite grom. All of it.. arms, cvds, and hubs.. its all interchangeable. They are just a little longer than the mojave.
Thx. Its krylon fusion is not reg spray paint. Every body i have painted on my channel is with fusion paint. Hobby paint aint the only paint for plastics brutha. Check out krylon fusion.
Yeah, I went back and watched some of your other vids. Tight work bro👍. I just got my first TP motor (it’s on a momba x… made my Notorious freakin’ fly! Have you ever tried a TP motor in one of your RC’s?
Just wondering. does that Krylon fusion paint stick to the lexan body good? I've not had any good experience using anything other than rc lexan paint. So would be a game changer for me if it doesn't flake when hit or bend body. Didn't want to waste a body til I knew forsure. Reason for asking and new to your channel and liking it. Thanks in advance.
That's all I use bro. Krylon "Fusion" is a flexible base paint which is great for plastics or any objects that may flex. I have been using it for 3-4years. every car you see on my channel painted is with Krylon Fusion and a pearl top coat. get you a rc pearl spray that, then lay that krylon fusion on top.. MAGIC!!!!...
Don't know much about pearl rc paints. Can u recommend one? I usually use spaz stix or dynamite RC paint. I see pearl in those but not just plain pearl paint. All I see is like red pearl and such w/a color. Is that what u use. A pearl color or just a plain pearl. If plain then could u tell me the brand and all. Thanks again
The red car, nice !!! Ive used kyrlon on lexan , and it works to a degree. But in key stresssl points does flake . TAMIYA PS paints are designed to FLEX with body stress.
@MrMeDos hi. I re- checked the paint I used. It wasn't krylon fusion, but another major brand. So I was wrong, and I apologize. I still think your red car looks real cool especially with those black wheels. Much respect
I just don't like the way the trimmed body looks. Gotta try to find a way to just make longer shocks work to give it that monster truck look. Good video my friend! I tried that krylon paint on my losi and it chipped... I use duratrax paint now. I might steal that sun roof idea... If you're cool with it 😁
Gota find a way that works for you my guy. I found trimming the body, stiffer shock oil & sorings and a wheelie bar is my recipe. Handles amazing and its stable at high speed especially with the back visors cut open. IMO the mohave is the best grom thus far. And for the krylon, did you use fusion paint? I have yet to have it crack or chip. Now scratch yes, all paint scratch off if something sharp is scraping it.
I've always heard people say you can't paint lexan with regular spray paint that it'll chip. These spray paints often say can be painted on plastic on the can. Part of me doesn't know if the theory is true in that you can't do it or if it's not and it's just marketing fluff to get one to buy their more expensive smaller can RC spray paints. Will you report back how they're holding up down the road so we all know?
I only use krylon fusion. Every car i paint is with krylon fusion paint. You can only buy it at Lowes or online. Its flexible, its almost like a latex put its not. Check my vids out i have painted a lot of cars. Give it a try. Years ago i watched a guy use this paint on a losi five-t body and i was sold. Its all i buy now.
Curious on this too. I have tons of Montana spray paint just sitting around 🙃 much rather put those to use than buy the polycarbonate paint or whatever it’s called
Tamiya ps paints are best for bodies. All plastics are not the same. Regular paint will bond to ABS plastic but not polystyrene. I learned the hard way, twice. Nothing worse than creating a gorgeous paint scheme only to have it peal off a month later. Buy the right paint for the right application and cry once.
In stock form why is the typhon grom faster than the Mojave grom when the Mojave grom is geared faster than the typhon grom have you noticed that before?😮😊👍
I think its the handling honestly. To me the quicker you can get it to go in a straight line, the faster speeds you can obtain in the space your running it. I noticed out the box the typhon was more wiggly than the mojave. The mojave just drives better and you can reach top speed quicker because you’re not correcting the steering as much. That’s my theory lol.
I wasnt either bro. I like all 5th scale rigs, I have 12 big boys and few 1/7 scale and 1/8 scales. I thought I would never get into the small scale stuff until I realized how fast they can be and how easy they can be worked on.
👀 good bro! Nice work 👍🏽💯

Bro my Mojave has been flipping like crazy. Thanks for the idea on how to fix it. Great vid

Awesome video.
Maybe I'm slow, but could you let me know what exactly it takes to make it wide? I'd definitely widen mine if I had the knowledge

hello mate!tanks for the vid!
l’m just curious to know what kind of shocks you used to slam down those beasts
stock shocks just changed the springs.
Awesome!
Thanks!
God im loving the cool bean's those colors are amazing can you tell me the paint numbers plz i wanna do a typhon in those colors
Thx bro. These paints you can find in lowes. They are krylon fusion 4 in 1 paint. Check them out bro.
That'd look dope drifting under a blacklight
It prolly would. Lol
I use Krylon Fusion as a backer. I never thought of using it as a direct color it doesn't flake?
Nope.. its flexible.
@@MrMeDos nice!
Looking good brotha just keep in mind regular spray paint ain’t the same as hobby grade body paint
Thx. Its krylon fusion is not reg spray paint. Every body i have painted on my channel is with fusion paint. Hobby paint aint the only paint for plastics brutha. Check out krylon fusion.
Where you get the Wheelie bar
Bro so the red one has the Typhom suspension arms?? I’m definitely planning on doing the wide body conversion. You did ya thing with that
Thanks bro. Yeah the red one and my white one is widebody. Typhon suspension
That is the cleanest work on Groms that I’ve ever seen! Hey, what esc is in them two Mojave Groms?

What lights are you using for the RC at night?
What kind of wheels are that?
Do the Mojave grom stock wheels and tires fit on the typhon grom too?
Yup. Everything is interchangeable.
This video is relevant to my needs.
These came out in the UK today and I picked myself up a red one.
