Royal Enfield Classic 350 Vs Meteor 350 - Which is the better 350?

- In the Classic 350 and the Meteor 350, Royal Enfield have two of the highest quality bikes in their range, better than the Royal Enfield 650cc Twins, the Interceptor and Continental GT. The 350cc single cylinder engine is a cracker and the quality of the finish is easily the best that Royal Enfield have ever produced.
I was joined by Big Stef from Bikes, Burgers, Beers for a ride on both of these bikes, then we kicked back around the fire with a beer (a delicious Pale Ale from Darkes at Glenbernie Orchard) to talk about the similarities and differences between these two great Royal Enfields.
A very special thanks to Big Stef from Bikes, Burgers, Beers for joining me in the fire pit for a beer and a chat about these two classic Royal Enfield motorcycles. Make sure you head over to Big Stef's RUclips channel and also check out the Bikes, Burgers, Beers podcast.

And if you are interested, check out the beer we were drinking, they are not a sponsor, I just like the beer.

Great to have a conversation about the two bikes rather than a single person’s view! The start of a trend, perhaps?
Perhaps Stephen. We have already filmed another one of these, with a third planned so will see what the feedback is like. Its certainly fun, talking bikes with a mate and a beer.
Thanks for having us on the show mate. It was an absolute hoot and a pleasure. Thank you so much. Looking forward to future installments of Shoot Sh*t In The Fire Pit.
Was nice listening to you guys chat Stef. The fire and the palms were a perfect backdrop 👊🤟
👍
Perfect format...a couple of people sitting around a fire, beer in hand and banging on about bikes. Love it!
Glad you liked it. I’m hoping to do some more of these comparisons around the fire pit.
Great content from 2 very knowledgeable chaps. Excellent production, a joy to watch.
Yep, Big Stef and I can talk shit with the best of them. Thanks for watching Phil, and thanks for you help filming this series, legend.
Awesome review! Very engaging and informative…
What a great day!
Thanks Rochelle, we did have a fun day. Really good to ride them back to back
Really enjoying your channel, great & honest reviews & nice style. Cheers from Canada, Ronny
Thanks Ronny, really enjoying producing the content and pleased that people enjoy watching it. Thanks for watching
Great conversation, guys. Informative and very relaxed. We need more reviews like this. Well done 👍
Thanks for watching and glad to hear you enjoyed the format. We have at least 2 more of these coming up and would love to shoot some more if viewers think it’s worthwhile and like the format.
Awesome video guys, great flowing conversation & honest in-depth analysis 🍻
Thanks Jimi, it was certainly a fun way to present the content, and had a great day riding these two classic bikes. Question is which one did you prefer?
Towards the end of a successful test ride of the Meteor last year I rode through a small pothole. The rear suspension transferred the shock directly to my spine and was extremely painful. I couldn't buy one of these. I presume the Australian roads are in much better condition than ours in the UK. With your weight further forward on the Classic this may not be an issue.
Moral to the story, avoid pot holes. Just kidding, I agree that this may not be such an issue on the Classic. The roads here are generally pretty good, but we have had some very heavy and consistent rain over the last few months so quite a few pot holes are starting to appear. Thanks for watching.
That's my experience as well, test riding both. Better suspension comfort on the Classic
In my opinion you both look perfectly proportionate (and totally rad) on those motorcycles.
Thanks for saying so. They are pretty rad machines
Two great blokes.
👍
I heard the Meteor's rear suspension can be a bit hard when going over bumps as it goes right into the seat
Not from my experience and I commute on one about 3 days a week.
Interesting conversation
👍
Hi guys, your final conclusion made me a bit puzzled.... What at the end made the Meteor the better bike, when the Classic handles better, is more comfortable and according to you looks better?
Basically it seemed to perform better, but very close, would be happy with either
Great video. Both bikes look great. I am a big fan of the Meteor. It would be a great replacement for my Honda CB125E.
The Meteor is a great commuter, excellent replacement for the little Honda
Interesting video Ross
I don’t know anything about those bikes but it appears you’re talking to Stef…. Yes it is lol
The Meteor 350 wins!
Cheers 🍻
Yes it is Big Stef. Might have to get you over here when we do Ninja Vs Fireblade.
@@BikerTorque haha 😂
Rented a Meteor. Loved it, but put a deposit on the 350 Classic instead just for the looks alone. Also rented an Interceptor and loved the motor but the steering was really heavy and the rest of the ergonomics did not work for me. If the Super Meteor 650 handles and rides like the 350 Meteor then I will buy one. I’ll ride the 350 Classic around town and take the Meteor 650 touring.
Thanks for watching, yes the Classic is certainly a great looking bike and would love to see a Meteor with a 650 engine, that would be an awesome bike. We have another comparison coming up in two weeks, Interceptor Vs Continental GT
Yes I have thought the same but do I need 2 bikes?
@@samkiwi8428 The 650 would make a good all a rounder. It’s only slightly heavier than the 350 so even in the city it would be fine and certainly handle two up highway runs. In the Meteor configuration the seat height should be lower than the Classic. For me personally I cannot pass on the looks and the iconic value of the Classic. It’s like owning a piece of motorcycle history without the hassle and compromise of an antique bike.
@@franklins6644 Yes ...owning a piece of motorcycle history without the hassle and compromise of an antique bike ...
Which bike was run in better?
Not sure as they were both press bikes initially. I bought the Meteor with about 1500kms on the clock.
What is your length?
I assume you mean height. 178cm
Talking shit…… love it, great reviews guys 😎👍🏼
Hey Big Bert, thanks for watching. Had a heap of fun shooting this with Stef. We have another one in two weeks with another familiar face
@@BikerTorque I thought I saw a familiar face lurking in the shadows 😂🤣😂. I look forward to it Ross
You guys in Hawaii?😂😂
Very close.😂
