It is so refreshing to finally hear my dialect, I am surprised that max understands the hue accent because most Vietnamese don't lol

Your videos are so inspiring and motivating. Videos like this showing the friendly interaction and communities makes me want to learn the language and experience these parts of Vietnam too. I’m absolutely touched by their culture and cuisine even though I am slavic and countries like Vietnam get a really bad rep here. Hope I get to visit Vietnam one day when I graduate academy with more knowledge of the language so I can experience this and learn. :)❤️

People in hue are different, more relaxing over there….. The last time my husband and I went there was in 2008. We really enjoyed the foods over there.
Hope we have time to go to Hue in the January. I haven’t have chao nep. You are so good to understand Hue accent because I have a hard time understanding when I was there even I’m growing up in VN.

Man, I love your videos @maxmacfarlin This was my dream growing up. Learning a new language, immersing in the culture, and just experiencing it while meeting and connecting with the locals in their native language. I wasn't able to get over the cusp of fluency (spanish for me), but I tried learning Vietnamese as well and it's so cool to watch.
Love seeing the genuine interest and enjoyment in your videos. Definitely watching these with a vicarious appreciation.
