  • Toyota’s Skepticism Towards EVs is paying off BIG TIME! Toyota Was Always Right About EVs and Now Is Fully Enjoying Its “I Told You So” Moment! The Toyota's bold move is shaking up the EV market! Their skepticism towards electric vehicles has led to a surprising outcome in the EV market. Toyota always had a different perspective on electric vehicles, and it is not scared to share it and reveal the truth about EVs. While others were rushing to embrace EVs, Toyota took a step back and questioned the hype, and now their cautious approach is paying off in a big way in the EV market. Toyota's strategy is proving to be a game-changer, and the results are astonishing. Toyota didn't chase EV sales, and used different strategy instead. You won't believe how their skepticism is now leading to a massive advantage in the market.

    😊 Hey guys! We created the Chase Car channel to give viewers a broad overview of the upcoming new cars from the top car manufacturers. We are huge fans of pickup trucks of all sizes: compact, mid-size and full-size trucks. So mostly, we will cover new upcoming trucks, but besides that, here you can find a lot of content about new sedans and SUVs too.
    The Electric Vehicle wave sooner or later will become huge, so this type of content might appear on this channel from time to time. But as we are still on the way to becoming fully electrical, we mostly cover fossil cars from many amazing brands.

      @@jpcaretta8847, I guess I cannot fully grasp your idea.
      You mean an electric car + an ICE other car? Because it would cost approx. double and you'd get an electric very polluting, expensive, unreliable, dangerous, impractical, and a controllable clunker and an economic ICE car (the engine has the Atkinson cycle for hybrids). Not at all a good deal, if you enjoy driving (for that I have ICE champions like Miata ND2 and Jimny LCV) and the savings (from my ICE Lexus hybrid champion) etc.
      Because the hybrid is just an ICE with an electric appendix to save some of the kinetic energy otherwise lost when braking/coasting that later is used to contribute with the energy necessary to start or in powerful accelerations.
      And while the electric can would be very unreliable (according to owners - see Consumer Reports annual reliability surveys) despite its so-called simplicity (in fact an electric nightmare with thousands of connections that can go wrong) and with a high TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) especially when replacing the battery, the hybrid is the MOST RELIABLE (according to the owners polled by the same CR) despite its so-called complexity (because the electric part is far simpler than for BEVs and the ICE car part is lacking few parts such as the inverter, the starter etc.) and the lowest TCO (despite the money you spend to replace the far smaller battery).
      And the price differences in MRSP and late hybrid battery maintenance is more than offset by both electrical (you don't have to plug in and pay for the electricity, electric wall and/or for the photovoltaic panels etc.) and the mechanical part (saving on brake's pads, rotors, oils etc.).
      No BEV clunker for me.
      My current cars will last longer than me.

    • @robertkubrick3738
      @robertkubrick3738 16 дней назад

      They could be. They make the engines smaller, they should beef up the output of the electric motor to compensate so that if you floor it, your 1.6L plus electric motor combined puts out the same power a a 5.0L. Battery cars would be Dead dead dead then.

    • @codincoman9019
      @codincoman9019 16 дней назад +1

      @@robertkubrick3738, good.
      Actually a hybrid car assemble is not the addition between an ICE regular system and an electric usual system.
      And it comes from a very different angle than BEVs (that save the planet supposedly through far less pollution - that is not true, because making the battery is a very polluting process - not to mention charging it from not at all green energy - and a very expensive one to replace after let's say a decade).
      It comes from the same idea that I had when I was a kid learning physics: why should the kinetic energy be lost when stopping a car, instead of storing it and using it later? Therefore, the hybrids are saving most of that braking energy (that otherwise would dissipate through heat, eating into braking pads, rotors etc.).
      This way a hybrid is meant to increase the economy, polluting less through saving braking/coasting energy but adding to pollution with the production of the hybrid battery (still, many times lower than the big battery used by BEVs or even by the plug in cars). But overall far less pollution than a heavy BEV, with a huge dead weight of their battery to be carried around all the time, eating faster tyres etc.
      Thus, the hybrids are not only more economical (mpg, far lower tearing of the braking system, tyres etc.), but they are far away from the complexity of the BEVs (that have hundreds of cells and their respective connections plus some additional ECUs).
      That's why Consumer Reports found out from more than 310'000 car owners (statistically relevant) that the hybrids are the MOST RELIABLE cars (and the ICE cars are the second most reliable choice) and that BEVs are the LEAST RELIABLE cars!
      To destroy the myth of hybrids' complexity let's add that they are lacking some parts from the ICE cars: starter, invertor, (the soon to be mandatory) start/stop system etc.
      Their ICE is far less stressed and more economical (because it works in the Atkinson cycle), their batteries are far smaller (with the corresponding far less dead weight), being also smoother (because of the very different and very reliable ecvt), quieter, very fast (when accelerating you have 2 small powers from the small ICE and the small battery adding to a bigger power and offering AWD) etc.
      So there are plenty of facts leading to my conclusion that hybrids are the best of both worlds.
      As an engineer, I had an issue with the scientifically proven issues brought by the BEVs, but I was pleasantly surprised when studying Toyota's hybrids. So much, that I bought a Lexus hybrid 5 years ago and I had 0 issues (not even recalls), amazing mpg, smoothness, quietness etc. being very cosy. Otherwise I am also very happy with my other ICE cars: a Miata ND2 and a Suzuki Jimny, leaders of their segments too.
      So I cannot see any reason to purchase a BEV with so many important flaws, despite the subsidies thrown by the corrupt governments from my money (taxes etc.)!
      No, all my cars are very reliable, affordable, with a low TCO, serving perfectly their segment's purpose, not dangerous, with very little pollution (and I am not writing about the mass-media/politicians huge lie that the CO2 is a pollutant) etc.
      The globalist "elites", through their puppets (int'l organizations, leftard politicians, mass-media etc.) are pushing down our throats the BEV clunkers, against our/planet interest, so I refuse to comply to their satanism.

      You never have to plug in and charge a hybrid.Hybrids charge the battery while you're driving,from energy from the brakes.Hybrids do best in the city because frequent braking keeps the battery well charged.The vehicle decides,based on driving conditions,whether to propel itself with the electric motor or the three or four cylinder small gasoline engine or both.No waiting to charge ,get in and go.Brakes last much longer on hybrid because electric motor can help brakes stop car.No alternator to replace.

    • @perryallan3524
      @perryallan3524 22 дня назад

      Not really. It works great for primarily city and short to modest trip driving. A Hybrid is not suitable for very long range driving as the gas engine just isn't big enough for the long term wear and tear and the electric system would rarely be used (anyone putting 25,000 miles + a year on a car is better off with ICE at this point).
      I estimate that about 80% of the US population would do very well with a Hybrid.
      The other thing is that the batteries are much smaller and much cheaper to replace (and Toyota has been offering Hybrids long enough that people are starting to replace the batteries - and Toyota has made that affordable enough for people to do).
      The small size of the battery also allows it to be placed in a more protected place in the car so that it is not damaged as easily as a full sized battery for a pure EV.
      If they need any charging (if there is not enough regenerative braking or extra engine power when being used) they can be charged from a normal 120V receptacle. You don't need a 240V 50 Amp circuit.

    • @codincoman9019

      Hybrids are very smart, like Toyoda.
      Because they have the best (and less complex= reliable) and economic part of the electric clunkers and the economic (and less complex=RELIABLE) part of the ICE cars, with no alternator, starter etc.
      Thus hybrids have been confirmed by Consumer Reports annual reliability surveys as being the MOST RELIABLE segment (especially because of Toyota) and the lowest TCO (unlike for the electric clunkers, the battery is far smaller and cheaper and the cost of its replacement and the price difference in MRSP to its ICE counterparts is more than offset by the savings in fuel!
