Got this one in four. After STARE and DOILY, I tried BLOOD with the hope it would be the answer. That left me with xLOxD. The word CLOUD was the only word that made sense. I finished the month of September with an average of 3.50, my best month ever. My "lifetime" average is 3.93. My year-to-date average is 3.84. My current streak is 378.
It would help Doug a lot if he would remember that the most common letters in the fifth position are E. STD and N.
Starting a new streak after yesterday's bomb out with a confident birdie 3 - FLUKE, CLOUT, CLOUD....could have been a 2!
