Great video, I would love to go to a big show like that but age has caught up with me and I just couldn't do it any more.
I used to go to the festival of quilts in Birmingham and loved it.
I live in Surrey so it would be a bit of a journey to get to Islington, I wouldn't now how to get there.
So thank you for taking me there by video.
Anne
Thank you Anne, I am glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for taking me back to an amazing day and lovely vlog! I did find that Saturday was way too busy for my liking and I am sticking to either Thursday or Friday going forward 😅 that pattern cutting book looks amazing 😮! And well done for buying only 3 things as I really struggle to control myself but still managed to do much better than a couple of years ago. I still needed to vlog on it and it was very therapeutic 😂😅 lovely to come accross your channel x
Hi, thank you, the Thursday was really busy too! I cannot imagine what Saturday was like, my strategy is get there early on the first day! X
@@gemimalondon Completely agree!
I went on Saturday it was so so good can’t wait for the next one ❤
Yes it was!
Thanks Gemma I went today amazing I was in craft heaven
Hi Tracie, so glad you enjoyed the show!
Thanks Rachel ❤really interesting and very helpful and that book looks amazing! Thanks for sharing xxx 😘
Thanks Sue! x
Thanks for sharing. A top I made is in the dressmaking contest, it’s blue with sequins. Super excited to go tomorrow and Sunday!
wow! I hope you enjoy the show and good luck with the contest!
Thanks for the tour, Rachel. The show gave me lots of stores to look up online since I’m in the U. S. Have a great time with projects in the new book!
Thank you! You too!
I went on Thursday with a sewing friend, we ate locally before going in, very busy but great fun, spent way too much 🙄
glad you enjoyed it!
I had a vip ticket for Friday (not the premium vip) it was nice good there was a seating area which was much quieter you got two drinks included and a free cloakroom. The free gift bag was a bit underwhelming. I would pay for the vip ticket again as I have trouble walking so it was nice having some quiet to sit and have a rest a few times throughout the day.
Hi Shelley, thanks for sharing that, sounds like it was worth getting!
Completely agree it was worth it to have a quiet spot to sit for a break. It’s worth bearing in mind they didn’t cater for food intolerances this year, I saw a lady be very disappointed about the lack of gluten free options.
Thank you for your video, I’m off there today and tomorrow, vip tomorrow, so will let you know what it’s like 🥰
Me too @makeitsew2023, but I'm just on the Saturday, Thank you @gemimalondon for the tour that was very helpful
Hi Susie, have a great time!
@@gemimalondon it’s Mandy 😀😀😀 x
I'm so sorry, duh!!! x
Thx for sharing! Inspiring!
Thanks for watching!
Your video would be really helpful for anyone going - sadly I’m not but hope to go next year.
thanks Alison!
Can I ask if there was any embroidery threads or was it mainly dress fabrics?
Hi, yes there were embroidery threads there!
Is there a list within the booklet?
Can you post the haberdashery vendors?
We in the US have few sources for that product (wish we could bring hats back as a standard, but usually only for the Derby)
Thank you.
Hi Mary if you go to the show website there should be an exhibitor list - www.thestitchfestival.co.uk, hope that is helpful, Rachel
