It is indeed good. I have over 20 versions of this (not the Oistrakh to be fair) and the best is by Dylana Jensen in RCA with Ormandy conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra. In this case the LP is better than the poorly transcribed CD. But Jensen has a superlative instrument, the orchestra and recording are both perfect.

This is probably not from "04-02" (neither February nor April), since the Philharmonia playing in Edinburgh would almost certainly have been during the Festival in August-September. What is your source for this? The youtube cited in your reply to Philseung says Sep 4 1982. Which is correct? Thanks!
