That was great! Well done! Awesome job of showing the effects of different grains of bullets on the clay. Really shows the power of the 22-.250 from 200 yards.

Certainly shows the difference between the Vmax and HP projectiles, but I expected the 50 to make it into the water bottle. And that silver tip, holy smoke!
    Thanks for posting, enjoyed it.

Anyways, I digress...Hopefully you are not placing the ballistic silvertip into the v-max family...Yes it has the plastic tip like the v-max but as you know, it is the solid core that seems to give it the extra punch. I too expected more from the 50 grn hp. I wonder if I did this same test with the same 3 rounds at 200 yards with water jugs, would the results be different...Would that be a worthwile endeavor?

Lastly, how would you feel about betting on the 55 grn ballistic silvertip against a 68 grn hp 223 at 200?

Grandkids? Oh boy…….. Youngest GD with us was rushed to hospital a couple of days ago with an internal infection. She was pretty crook, but responded really well to antibiotics and returned home late last night. Got 2 others down with flu, sooooooo, do you want me to ship them over? 🤣🤣🤣.
Regarding the silver tip v Vmax, I think the Vmax would expend its energy early and leave a larger cavity but not damage the water bottle, but if you could hit the clay dead on it would again penetrate the bottle with a smaller cavity.
Ok on the 223, but leave that 204 out of it, it’s getting on my nerves, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
      Great stuff mate, thanks.

You are a good man for taking care of those precious children. Will pray for their good health to return. Meant to write sooner .... Filmed all day today (yesterday already.) More good footage coming. Left the 204 and 250 at home. All day with 223 and 556 at distance...

Thank you Pvt Jaxon for taking the time to share your views and for your encouraging words. Definitely appreciated. Just got back from the range and getting ready for an AR series that may feature the Valkyrie at some point.

Probably have to run a full copper load, like a Barnes bullet, if you want good driving impact. Most of these examples are highly frangible and good for varmints.

And a year later, 22-250 it is for me. Howa stainless 24" heavy barrel with a Boyd's thumbhole stock in pepper topped off with a Leupold VX-3HD 6.5-20x50.
Finally some 42 years after my first gun I've got a purpose built fox rifle. Thanks again from Australia.
