I just pulled my CR440 out of the closet where it has been for about twenty years! One channel crapped out, and I thought it wasn’t worth fixing but I couldn’t part with it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I just pulled the top off of mine and blew the dust out of it. Gonna’ look at those solder joints next!
I have one like that sounds ok but the Tuner does not work at all , no lights , no meters movements ... I did print the schematics but such low res I can't see anything .... any first idea ? thanks
I’d confirm there is power going to that section first. IIRC, the lamps are wired in series on these receivers (it’s pretty goofy) so if one lamp is out, none of them will work. They are more or less ‘daisy chained’ to each other. Pull down a clear manual for a 640 or 840 and look at how the lamps are wired…pretty sure it’ll be similar on this one.

Good luck with your repair!
Hello,
i appreciate your videos, trying to learn and any chance you can set your camera so that the angle isn't blocked by your head.
Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to get a better angle...
Crack is visible at exactly 6.50 min. Excellent 👀 Eyes!
They're tough to find, especially with my aging eyes :)
