Im planning an DIY pioneer Speakers install for our 2004 Tahoe LT (no Bose system) and saw that you used pioneer 6.5 (6-1/2) speakers. did you have to drill new holes on the rear door factory 5-1/4 Location in order to get the 6.5’s to fit correctly ?
On the front install you used a Metra 82-3002 adapter. Would that have to be used on the rear as well if aftermarket speakers were not already installed?
Yes you can, but the factory brackets also allow a bolt on for aftermarket speakers. You can remove the factory bracket and install the Metra 82-3002 if you wish.
Bests besides the front and rear are there any other speakers I should replace?? Also do you have a video on adding an after market stereo? And maybe one on installing an amp and sub?? Great video thank you so much going to give this a try today or next weekend
according to some research that I've done these speakers won't fit into the rear doors on a 05 chevy silverado 1500 crew cab because the mounting height is to high for the speakers (according to Crutchfield) Would this pioneers fit my truck?
Parts linked in the description!

Do 5 and 1/4 inch speakers fit the rear doors on a 2005 yukon?
Yes, but you would most likely need 6.5" to 5.25" adapters to fit properly.
