( 2005 Yukon XL - Bose ) I like the foam insulation, thanks..... I used Crutchfield to replace my door speakers ' with the harness adaptors'. ( Infinity dual - 5 1/4").... Funny thing, after replacing my 4 speakers, ... I realized, I now had 8 real tweeters!! I then, disconnected the factory tweeters ( front-pillar & rear- pillar ).... For a month or so, the sound was very "tinny". I was told these new speakers will "break in", then sound better..... ( My concert-audio friend in San Francisco thought that was 'bunk' ).... Well, what do you know..... The sound isn't as 'tinny' now..... ( Thanks for your videos)
By chance, Do you have a link for a cheaper set of speakers for the front? Both videos are awesome just wondered if it was worth the type r price? I have a front drive speaker out so I need to replace anyways.
Thanks so much. I recently bought a nice '04 Z71 Burb and did wonder if the rear speakers were also Bose. I was planning to pull the door panels to make sure I wasn't spraying oil rust proofing oil on speakers. Are they still good if not breaking apart? Perfect video.
Yea if you're not hearing audible crackling or anything, new speakers won't really improve the sound, unless you're planning to amplify them with a 4-5 channel amp
what r the recommended speakers to upgrade over the Bose sound? any suggestions am also planing to upgrade the nav in my Cadillac Escalade ESV only because the buttons r weared out otherwise i would ceep it as i am a ceep it factory kind of guy love these suvs had a 06 and now the 03 esv i will make a video of it soon so coming back to the speakers budget is 500 to 1000 also what r the options for upgrading the nav but retaining the RES system in the back thanks in advance maybe make a video of the topic cheers from canada 🇨🇦

I used Infinity speakers also (front and rear). I am thoroughly impressed.
Great job going step by step and giving clear instructions. I think I’m ready to get started on my 04.
It kinda looks like you can just replace the speaker.l without tearing out that door film.
Much appreciated videos!! Have a 04 yukon that im trying to upgrade! Hope to see more of this truck!!
Thanks for showing how to change the rear speakers
not a problem at all!
Good explanation of the process. How does the front sound compared to the rear since the speakers aren’t the same brand?
I need to do this for my Denali. I also need to do a new deck for it.

wow , bad ass video . i hope the links work i wanna do this exact same set up
The links should all work
This works with factory Bose amp ?
yes it does
I thought BOSE speakers are 2-ohm. Is there an issue using a normal 4-ohm speaker?
no, you get like a tiny little less volume but you don't notice. At least I didn't
Thank you. Great,video
glad it was helpful!
Have you done a video of the head unit?
No I haven't. I am planning on doing a video of how to do the bose amp bypass though
Wat kinda 6.5 did you use for the front
I gota 04 tahoe this help me but I'm going to make a bracket to replace factory speaker with 6x9
that will probably sound amazing
How did you go by make the bracket i want to go 6.5s in my rear and front
You don’t have to take the door plastic off just in case anybody else was wondering
So the stock ones were 5.25
Would these work on the 07 Yukon xl?
So the front are 6.5 & rear side doors are 5 1/4 ???????
I thought they were the same , other videos the have 6.5 in the rear to
Thats the easiest truck ever front door use 6.5 and rear use 5 1/4
NO REGERTS
No Ragerts!!
I have an 02 avalanche and 6 1/2s fit just fine. My door looks different than yours.
Yea I was gunna say his door looks different I wonder why
