    • @karenhalepaintings
      @karenhalepaintings  4 года назад

      If you mean transparent then there are many acrylics that are just that. Each painting has over 10 layers of acrylic paint and washes letting each dry in between applications.

      I mainly use water, Lola, and don't always use a fresh brush. You can get some interesting colors by reusing the brush. Thanks for watcing.

    Hi. I love your work. Do you ever do longer instructional videos or do you offer classes/workshops?

    • @karenhalepaintings
      @karenhalepaintings  7 лет назад +1

      Thanks for your comment, Mary. I see my videos as a glimpse into my process and not really a tutorial although I have many people tell me they find them useful. I try to stay within the RUclips guidelines as to time so that's why they are double time so I can get as much content as possible in them. Even at that they are too long. I don't offer workshops or other videos.

    • @karenhalepaintings
      @karenhalepaintings  6 лет назад

      That is the age old question. I take it to a certain point when I think it's close then turn my easel toward the door, walk away for the day. When I come back the next day and have a fresh look I know what needs to be done. Hope that helps, Joy.

    • @karenhalepaintings
      @karenhalepaintings  7 лет назад

      Thank you for your feedback. I try to stay within the timeframe that RUclips recommends and still get as much content as possible so they are done at 2X's normal speed. You can see a slower version by clicking on the cog wheel to the right of the video. That allows you to adjust the speed.

    So you you kind of follow the lines that you made in the beginning with random colors and then go from there? My mother asked me to paint her something for our fireplace mantel so I’m watching videos for tips and ideas and I found your channel! 😂

  • @KathleenHassan
