  • How to Migrate VMware ESXi guest VMs to Proxmox VE.
The video is part of a Proxmox PVE Nested Virtualization home lab series, where we will be building out a lab environment to test Proxmox no subscription features and functionality.
In this video we, import ESXi VMs into Proxmox using the new import functionality in Proxmox 8.2.
Since Broadcom's acquisition of VMware, many customers are looking elsewhere for their virtualisation requirements - this video shows how easy migrating can be.
No subscription to Proxmox support is required to migrate your ESXi Virtual Machines.
    It demonstrates:
A Linux VM running in ESXi inside VMware workstation player.
Added the ESXi host to Proxmox as Storage.
Importing the ESXi VM to Proxmox.
Running the VM in Proxmox and testing networking on the guest.

    Have you tried V2V vcenter?

I've used VMware's V2V converter previously, if this is what you mean.
If you mean can you import via VMware's vCenter - I don't believe this is supported as you are mounting from the ESXi servers directly.
