Thank you for this. Now I want to use my VM windows ( Actually Ubuntu ) on the Proxmox-computer as my daily operating system and use it as if it where a normal install. It has several internal HDrives installed which I do want to use from the VM-Windows. I can get sound and GPU with passtrough but I am not sure about the HDrives. My goal is to install several VM's like Windows Ubuntu Arch Kali and have kind of "multiple boot", only need one OS at the time and can use another computer to choose which one to start. Help is much appreciated

Thanks for the video Small issue: the permission you gave is way too high. If someone would hack your grafana/prometheus - then they could hack and damage your proxmox.

When I go to 192.168.1.63:9221/metrics I do see some stats. Edit: I pushed on with the tutorial and no more errors and it works great. Thanks for the easy to follow instructions.

Наверное, добавил бы, что предварительно надо оставить только списки серверов обновления без подписки (почистить sources.list.d от списков, использующих подписку). После этого не возникает ошибок ни при apt update ни при apt upgrade. Интересный момент, система обновилась без apt dist-upgrade. Спасибо!

Good video. Except you missed one thing. Once to select the downloaded OVA file and press Import, you have an option on the first screen to select the default disk drive where you want to save the imported VM. You dont need to add the Disk Image option on the storage.

You can upgrade from the UI as well. Simply add the no subscription repository. Additionally, you can accomplish updating in the command line with fewer keystrokes using shorthand apt instead of apt-get.

Why do you use the CLI? It's more risk-prone! Just use the GUI, it updates the system at the latest version in a snap.

For me it didn't work, have no subscription, might try the GUI

The part I did not understand was how with adding proxmoxsync user in Proxmox, the domain admins and other user also got added?

Strange, mine just updates to 8.3 via the updates menu in the UI. I do have the no-subscription version.

You can also easy upgrade using the Proxmox builtin updater as long as you add the pve-no-subscription repositories (pre-defined, you just need to select them). Way more easy than remembering commands.

rbd is more likely to be Rados Block Device (RBD) - which is storage in ceph
