If your gonna accuse him of being a racist then dont beat around the bush and say he said some things. Say what he said or dont call him a racist. But this is the world we live in where all you have to do is say something and that means the person is guilty.
He still didn't tell us how Scott Skiles was a racist?
How was he racist? This sounds like a lie. Because he didn’t let guys wear headbands? C’mon bruh
What exactly did he do that’s racist? He was just a competitive guy always was that way guy fought Shaq
Scott Skiles wasn't afraid to get on anybody's case. Black or white, he was an equal opportunity hardass and you can see that his whole career. He wasn't going to give someone a free pass because they were black, or a foot taller than him. Just ask Shaq.
If you gon slander somebody name than at least have receipts ready smh
I am sorry Larry, you still didnt explain why scott skiles was prejudice against black people..
@Shay91 what he explain, that they cant wear headbands, that doesn't make him a racist dumb ass
Shay91 I guarantee that this dude has a white lover..you see how he is capping for whitey...
Skiles didn't coddle--basically.
@@PatentRob exactly. But we both cons for not jumping on the quote on quote racist white man angle.
Larry said absolutely nothing. Pointless interview.
Sounds like Skiles was being a coach in MILWAUKEE.
So…I’m lost. How was he racist? No disrespect, but Larry didn’t clarify it. He sorta circled the wagons without actually providing a clear and concise instance of racism by Scott Skiles. Larry’s accounts, here, speak more about Skiles being an ineffective coach who couldn’t manage the talent he had, but that doesn’t equate to racism based on what Larry is saying here. The title to this video comes off as click bait at the end of the video.
That don't make him a racist. Wtf
Scott Skiles has the NBA record for the most assists in a game with 30
Scott Skiles is not racist lol.
There are no people who coach basketball who are racist. Otherwise they wouldn’t be a part of the game, get real. Skiles is tough. That doesn’t make him racist.
I don't know Skiles, but I think Skiles would say his race has held him back in basketball far more than his Black counterparts. In the 80's, at basketball camp with some terrific coaches black and white, I heard the term "white man disease" for the first time. I heard premier coaches tell white kids that if your are under 6'5" give it up! Now white guys saw that as racist, but as a broke black youngsters I said to myself why are white kids still getting scholarships and can I really live up to this "super black athlete mystique" to get in where I fit in. All I am saying it's more nuanced and complex than what it appears. By the way, I heard Scott Skiles was a tough don't give a fluck white boy at Michigan State where he was giving the Big Ten the business.
You sound like a clown
To go with what you're saying, the most hyped HS player in Michigan was a 6'5 guy named Antoine Joubert. Everybody wanted him, and he went to Michigan. Skiles went to MSU and hardly anyone knew who he was. Joubert talked a lot, and Skiles went for 40 to beat a top-5 Michigan while screaming "Come on, fat boy, show me something." According to Larry Sanders, that's racism.
@@daveconleyportfolio5192 I remember that! Scott Skiles was that dude at MSU.
Skiles was probably an asshole and came off the wrong way unintentionally. I always thought he was a good head coach, especially younger teams such as the 04-05 Bulls and the 10-11 Bucks. Many people probably don’t pay attention but if you take a close look his teams very rarely had the right personnel. I remember when he was with the Bulls and they were only a really good Interior scorer away from competing for a championship but John Paxson refused to trade any of the young talent they had at the time for a KG or Pau Gasol. If you remember, those teams won 40-50 games without any interior scoring which if you think about the NBA back then is quite remarkable. Similar thing in Milwaukee, once he lost Andrew Bogut his teams stunk because they were heavily perimeter oriented
When did tough love turn in to racism?
So wildly irresponsible
Will there be a discussion about racism in the 2026?
Why would Gary Shandling call Scotty Skiles a wasis?
Skiles left the magic because he knew that team was trash. They gave him. I know him personally, and he is a competitor; he would go to playgrounds with all black people and want to play pick-up games during his career. Doesn't have a racist bone in his body.
Larry Sanders.. wasted talent, calling a coach a racist.. sounds like the modern American narrative.. what a joke
Nothing he cited is indicative of racism. Stop using it as a buzz word.
Larry Sanders just seems like he had a bad relationship with Scott Skiles, is bitter, and playin for the race card is his way to get revenge against his former coach.
If I’m going to call someone “racist”, I’m bringing receipts to back up those claims, since those are serious claims. I’m not going to say “Uhhh… he was hard on players and he had a no-headband rule.” I was hoping he could point out specific things like using the N-word, befriending White players while giving cold shoulders towards Black players, or making some racial comments of some sort.
Lol because of no headbands. Come on now why are you even giving him a platform. He is full of it.
What did he do that was racist? You didn't give any examples.
Headbands????? WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HEADBAND!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t believe him
Clueless, ask Shaq.
Nah..
Than Scotty good ole boy skiles should've gotten one of those latrell sprewell ass whoopings on sight smdh how you be in a sport that's made up of people you supposedly hate damn that's crazy!!!!
