Hej Kia connect gør ikke opmærkes på at vinduerne står åben, men kun at bilen er låst og alt er ok. UPS model EV6 2023 DK. Henrik, tak for de gode videoer
Thanks. Very interesting. I tend to turn climate control on and off by accident with the App. (Clumsy fingers) Each time this is draining the battery. Probably explains why in a week the battery dropped from 12 to 2v (at which point none of the electrics worked)
10 amps draw was high, because all modules were still active. Once car is locked, electronic modules will gradually turn off in 15-20 minutes, but not earlier. Each remote Kia app request will wake up the car for 10-15 minutes, every time.
That explains a whole lot about what I've seen in my 12V telemetry! Very annoying they'd design it like that. I get waking up all the modules, but leaving them for 20 minutes before going back to sleep is just savage.
At 8:06, that had to have been a communications glitch or a bug. There's no way it used 327 amps. Also notice the temperature was reported at -40°C, which is probably the lowest value it can report.
@@evodessey Data stream was missing for a second (-327 amps, -40 C, and 0% SOC). Actually for monitoring 1 or 2 sensors I use menu Live Sensors - best refresh rate.
@@evodessey that I do, in fact the interface you have, is the same as the website, the app in the US just tells you the bare minimum. Also regarding battery precondition, if the ev charger you select in the nav is not green (grey) it will not do it, only chargers that appear green. I saw this in another channel whose owner drives a gv60
Yes just finished installing it. Not had a proper look around it yet.The maps version is the same as the last July version so that’s probably why no updated POI.
You forget this battery was under load. Standard battery voltage/SOC charts you referred to are for "resting voltage" - voltage measured after battery was disconnected from the car for at least 12 hours and rested, before taking voltage measurement.
@@EV_OBD you're right I forgot it's a closed circuit. I'm just a bit circumspect about 95% SOC and being excellent battery health considering it's flattened once already.

Kia connect app is reducing the 12v battery without me making any requests via the app. The only fix appears to be to delete the app.
The current you are seeing is the battery being charged. You can see when the car was on the figure was positive 2A but when off it was negative 10A.
And yet the 12v state of charge still goes down? i will have to watch it back again later to see.

It has to wake them up to tell you all the information.
The more you keep checking the quicker the battery will drain
@@CRIPVW sure, but it doesn’t need to leave everything powered for 20min.
Just a not but anytime you have the hood open - the light in the truck will remain on which can have an effect on long term capacity. Regards - Mike

Agreed😂
Also that glitch did not repeat so was definitely a glitch i think.

@@EV_OBD Cheers Alan, will use that mode next time. I’m always learning off you.👍
@@evodessey Refresh rate seems very slow with ignition off, but very fast when car was on.
Use something like a CTEK battery conditioner to help the battery cope.
I see from the thumbnail you've managed to successfully switch on Santa's Elf Mode 😙
I did a mini photo shoot so i had a lot of gurning expressions to choose from😂
the US version of KIA connect is different, is called KIA access and it does not show the 12v status
That’s a shame. You do get images back from the cars cameras though which we don’t from what i’ve read.

The new Navigation update is out.. sort of! Still no FastNed POI..

@@evodessey You recon the maps version is getting an new update soon than? Or is this the "big" november update we all have been waiting for.

If you find charts corresponding your 12v with SOC, 12.2 v is not 95%, closer to 40 or less. Your battery could be on the way out.
I hope not otherwise i will making one of these dead 12v battery videos for real😂
Carry that backup then😃

What happens if you start the car remotely? will it recharge 12V?
I don’t know for sure will have to test that but i would say probably. Remote start will only stay on for 10 minutes before it times out.
Please let us know if you do test! Thank you!
@@jonsinclair2511 I will definitely do a video. Will let you know.
