+ Excellent 1080p performance (100 fps on average at Tom's Hardware)
+ Competitive 1440p performance (75 fps on average at Tom's Hardware)
    + 32 MB L2 Cache (grants effective 554 GB/s bandwith)

    + New, launched on May 24th, 2023
If you play 2-5 yo games, you'll easily gets high fps and very streamlined gameplay on highest settings. If you play new games, you can actually enable Ray Tracing. Your video review doesn't depend on the overblown technical jargon or big words trying to sound like a pompous git know-it-all out to impress those including myself, who really doesn't care less about the meaning of half of the technical terms used anyway and who is just seeking an honest opinion.

I bought an Asus Dual RTX 4060 Ti 16GB around Black Friday for $405 USD, and I'm super happy with it.
Upgraded from an RTX 3060, which has since been repurposed into a secondary build I'd been scrapping together for a work and media server PC.
This 4060 TI consistently impresses. It's delivered about a 30-40% performance increase for me, depending on the game, all while drawing *less* power than the 3060 did.
It's launch price of $500 was too high IMO, but at $400 I think it's an easy GPU to recommend. I'd avoid the 8GB variant though unless it drops below $350. This GPU wants more than just 8GB of VRAM to really stretch its legs.

So I decided to just build out a new system and used the 4060 ti, which I think performs really well and you don't have the VRAM issues like the 8gb version. I re-built the old system with a new killer case using the A770 and sold it cheap to my friends son, so he would have a better system than he was using that had a GTX 1660 ti. 4060 Ti 16GB is a great entry level graphics card, the problem is that NVIDIA decided they'd bump entry price up to 500 USD, which is way too much. Just like this review said, if it was a 400 dollar MSRP I don't think anyone would have even said anything. You get 16GB to handle high quality textures, the latest NVENC/NVDEC which support AV1 finally, and DLSS/AI on its tensor cores. This is a card that can do ray tracing at playable framerates on 1440, and that's previously been limited to 800 and up elite/niche cards. Since AMD can't really deliver on the ray-tracing or DLSS, there really isn't much competition for NVIDIA, and they know it. Sure, if you're willing to sacrifice those you can get a better value with AMD today.

I bought the 16GB 4060 Ti for the same price as the 8GB last Black Friday and in this case it was a great choice, it's obvious that the memory increase helps a lot even with a 128-bit card, there are fewer spikes and the framerate is much better than in the 16GB version. I'm currently on a 1080p monitor and I'm thinking of changing monitors and resolution and although this GPU is not as recommended for 1440p as the 4070 and up, maybe it's really worth going for 1440p, this video showed it well and makes it evident how a great experience looks with DLSS enabled in addition to the image being sharper and more beautiful than native 1080p. I was first thinking of getting a 1080p 144Hz monitor but on second thought I think it would be a mistake since I even prefer single player games. Nice video.

I’d still rather take a 6750xt at a little over $300 over this. If it was $350 then I’d bite given the 128 bus is holding back the potential of this card
According to techpowerup, the 4060ti is on average 1% faster than the 6750xt l, virtually tied with a 2080ti and 3070 is still 5% faster in non vram limited situations
Hopefully Intel and battlemage will shake up the gpu landscape

Sure it is not the best 16gb video card out there, but I think it works great for the price on my 34" wide screen 1440p monitor playing Hogwarts legacy. I don't have any issues, since Nvidia does a good job with their driver updates, so no issues there. I have had problems with Radeon Cards in the past, and like to stick with Nvidia, so the price for the 4060 ti 16gb was right up my ally and I couldn't be happier. I tried the Intel Arc A770 16gb that I got for $300 about 9 months ago and I had a lot of problems with it, so I just recently built a new system and went back to Nvidia for $450 and the performance in everything smokes the old Intel Card. I think once Intel gets a handle on delivering decent drivers on there new Battlemage cards coming out, they will be a really good contender for AMD and Nvidia. You can spend an extra $150-$250 and get something better that really performs stellar for 1440p and does good for 4k gaming, but I just don't think we currently need it. The new Radeon cards 7800 XT look really promising and you can get this on Amazon for $539 with delivery in November and hope the drivers for the new cards work without any issues. I got a 6700XT 12GB for $250, half the price, tunded it to 6750XT speed and compete with the 4060 Ti blow for blow. I saved $250, the price of a 5600X3D is $230.

How come no one is talking about the program called loseless scaling, you can even play okami in 60fps with that app...

I'm looking for a long term 1080p GPU, and with a $150 AUD difference between the 4060Ti 16GB and 7800XT, with the 7800XT being more, I feel the better overall performance is worth that extra money. I'm not interested in upscaling...not to 1080p, or ray tracing.

@@GeneralS1mba you get like 75 to 110 FPS in 1440p with that card on many games. 2k looks nearly as good as 4k and is worth the slight FPS loss.

The price appears high to gamers because the price is the best value price for stable diffusion, for a gamer this purchase at this price wouldn't ever make sense, but still some gamers buy it, nvidia price is just perfect and of course they know it.
