@@AnthonyBurton I also don't know if he was ever really taken seriously, I think it's that he filled a role in the lives of his followers that they thought they needed (some kind of paternalistic role model) and told them everything they wanted to hear, confirming in their minds that they're right about everything they believe about the universe, the Left, Women, etc. I have a hard time believing it's a grift, because JP genuinely seems that unhinged to me, but regardless of what I think, its unfortunately been very effective.
we portlanders are very posh. yesterday i saw some homeless people all gathered around a little table under a sports tent which was weirdly low and obscured their heads. I just felt like it needs to be shared because i’m convinced that was a secret society.
He did such a shitty job faking that accent too, funny how it fades in and out over the course of a sentence as he doesn't quite know how a British person would say certain words
I can't fucking believe people who do this. Even if you're dumb enough to buy his arguments, I feel like everyone gets weirded out by people who speak with clearly fabricated accents.
A friend of mine was a big Peterson fan back in the day but basically thinks he’s gone off the rails since coming back from his addiction and coma situation. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a fairly common position
Ohhh yeah, we often scoff at these movies because they're that ridiculous but then again some of the biggest names ever are Jordan Peterson, J. K. Rowling and Ben Shapiro.
I agree with you. I am going to be unprofessional and guess a diagnosis: extreme affective instability, which is probably caused by some depressive disorder. Most likely manic depression. J.P. was mentally unstable before he had his alternative withdrawal "treatment" in Russia. Back in the days he took high doses of Benzos( i.e. Clonezapam) which is an extremly potent Benzo. I don't buy his bs-story that this benzo was prescribed to him because of some food allergy. No real doctor would do ever this. Maybe we see the valid clinical reason why Jordans doctor had to put him on benzos in the first place.
Peterson is the deepest 13 year old I've ever seen. Hope he grows up some day to be a human being. Edit for that one Person fan in the comments: I'm alluding to the fact that, 1 - Thirteen year-olds aren't fully grown people and who usually have tons of "fake deep" ideas (I sure know I did when I was that age) and 2 - that Peterson seems so behind on his kindness, empathy and the like (cornerstones to "being a human being") that I hope he develops those eventually. I am not implying he is less than human and most people probably got at least that much. TL;DL I'm basically calling him immature. Did I really need to spell all of this out for yah? Fer fek sehk. Btw, are you really hate-watching Voosh? Bloody hell, love. Find a hobby or something (and I sorta mean it. This is neither healthy for you nor constructive to anyone).
@Ethan Danan "literally implying those who disagrees with you..." Yep, that is a pretty black and white idea. Just in case that you smoke too much JP, the idea that the world is divided in either the group whom agree with JP, or the group whom disagree, is simply a very asinine way to see the world. What is next, are you horrified about how you can't remember your own words? 😆😆🤣
Would a totally stable intellectual titan really be the most relatable person to give life advice? If people dont relate then the advice is rarely effective. I agree there was definitely a unhealthy trend of a section of people who admired his intellect well above reality. But because he went against certain issues and favours certain ideas over others there is so much hate and bitterness towards him. In reality there is infinitely worse people who genuinely want to cause harm or hold a deep hatred for people in general, I don't believe he fits into that category at all and whether his ideas are right or wrong or good or bad, there ain't malicious in his intentions and he is generally pretty reasonable for a discussion, he says some wacky stuff but it's often prefaced as just 1 idea of many that he is entertaining. Maybe he isn't as smart as he thinks or his damaged mentally from the accident, but it's just strange to see someone like vaush just asserting he hasn't been through anything in his life other then the trans pronouns thing etc. Obviously that's based in 0 Knowledge of his life prior to coming into the mainstream sphere and his wife had cancer he nearly died and went through a long drawn out situation.. I think the fact he got back on the horse and is out engaging with ideas he has been passionate about, even with possible compromises to his mental congnivity. Isn't that essentially his msging that you need to expect and push through them times in life.
I love how people talk about the 'radical left' as if there are numerous examples of terrorist attacks committed by vegan nonbinary feminists with blue hair, and yet they don't talk about the radical right in the same manner when their actions have caused arguably much more harm to citizens and current society, I know he mentioned jan 6 but he rarely gives as much attention to the problems with the right as he does his perceived problems with the left (pronouns being a thing etc)
The right wing will never acknowledge the damage caused by right wing terrorism even though it is the most common in the US (not sure about Canada). They'll never acknowledge trans kids getting harassed, bombings of clinics that perform abortion, etc.
Even when I was an edgy teen that held some anti sjw beliefs it was still so clear to me that the right was a far greater threat than the left.. I thought militant vegans or angry man hating feminists were vaguely annoying (although ive met far more people who have forged an identity around hating vegans or feminists than the sjw caricature that gets spread on the internet).. but the right literally has mass shooters, corrupt politicians, war criminals etc with real power..
They have to convince themselves that every act of aggression and cruelty they commit is self defence. That’s why you have fascists like trump whinging about the “radical left.”
As I recall, God gave no reason why he preferred Abel’s sacrifice. He just did. Contextually, the Hebrew people were nomadic people and their god was a nomadic god. He rejected the agrarian, crop sacrifice of Cain in favor of the animal sacrifice of a nomad who doesn’t tend crops. It is a reflection of the nomadic Hebrew society versus surrounding agrarian societies, who worship agrarian gods, and whom they plan eventually to destroy and enslave (spoiler alert!).
I found the first part very interesting but your closing statement of the Jewish people plan to destroy and enslave the rival agrarian societies is too anti-Semitic.
The reason God gave is that Cain "didn't do well" with his sacrifice, with the standard explanation given that he didn't present his best produce to God.

Peterson sits at a dimly lit bar. Hazy smoke fills the air as he raises a withered hand. "One more...", he trails off as the bartender slides another bottle his way, disapprovingly shaking his head. Peterson cracks the cap off and starts to drink. Cider. It was always cider. He knows he swore to never go back but he has to. The sulphites are the only way he can feel any more. The commercial break on the dingy TV overhead ends. Peterson looks up and a Disney movie with a black person in begins to play. He can barely even bring himself to feel outraged any more. "Woke..." he says under his breath as he angrily stands and teeters out the door. He stops out front and and stares at his outstretched hand. He slowly curls it into a fist. "Anfita." he says through gritted teeth. "The LEFT!" he hisses as his vision becomes cloudy. But the flame just isn't there. He chugs the rest of the cider, tears streaming down his face. It's not enough. It's never enough. Hands in his pockets, Peterson walks through the rain. His thin form offers no resistance to the howling winds. Like the specter of Communism he drifts through the night, light from the neon signs above painting his pale skin a myriad of colors. Seeing this as being too woke he crosses the street. He finds himself at the river. The wind has finally died down. He sits heavily on the banks and watches the cerulean current flow by. He envisions lobsters beneath the surface, forever clawing their way upstream, a clear representation of man's divine struggle. His stomach growls. Reaching into his pocket Peterson produces a ziploc bag. Inside is a raw ribeye steak. He removes the steak and takes a large bite, blood running down his chin. As he does he is reminded of the plight of young men, being ripped apart and consumed by Cultural Marxists. Shaking and wracked with grief, Peterson begins to sob. In his mind's eye the lobsters are swept away, taken by the river and it's chaotic tide. Distraught, he jumps up, blood and tears smeared across his face. He needs to get home, he can feel the chaos dragon circling overhead, watching him. He dashes through the streets, the city a blur around him. He bursts through the door of the train station, dishevled and frantic. He runs to the attendant, trying to find the words to explain the importance of his archetypal journey and how it relates to the divinity of metaphorical truth but... he cannot find the words. He pays five fifty for his ticket instead. Once on the train he calms down and collects himself. He thinks back to the time he owned Cathy Newman on TV. "Based." he says to himself and for a moment smiles. Nearing his house he fumbles for his keys, unable to find the right one. The fault of chaos, of course. Unlocking the doors, he enters, surprised momentarially by a flash. Lowering his hand from in front of his face he sees that it's only Mikhaila. She's in a sexy lobster costume taking selfies again. He knows why. The stickers haven't sold well. He sighs, knowing what he must do. He slowly walks down the hallway, dragging his tired body past his bedroom and into the study. He makes his way through the clutter of pizza boxes and cider bottles. All around towers of books reach to the ceiling. The works of Kant and Derrida can be seen peeking out from massive piles of shonen manga. His desk light is already on. He sits and rests his head in his hands. After a long time he smooths his greasy hair back and sits up straight. "I AM the protagonist." he declares, more to himself than anything, and picks up his pen. He begins to write, his eyes welling with tears again for some reason. In between the salty splotches on the page words begin to take shape: "6. Abandon Ideology."

The natural expectation is that I will describe some sinister-sounding detail of behavior or snippet of body language or threatening use of language that is the subtle giveaway. Instead, I take people aback by assuring them that the tip-off is none of these things, for none of these things is reliably present. Rather, the best clue is, of all things, the pity play. @Carl Sorl This is ironic, right?

Ironically most shooters (aka actual terrorists) are far right lunatics
Even when I was an edgy teen that held some anti sjw beliefs it was still so clear to me that the right was a far greater threat than the left.. I thought militant vegans or angry man hating feminists were vaguely annoying (although ive met far more people who have forged an identity around hating vegans or feminists than the sjw caricature that gets spread on the internet).. but the right literally has mass shooters, corrupt politicians, war criminals etc with real power..
They have to convince themselves that every act of aggression and cruelty they commit is self defence. That’s why you have fascists like trump whinging about the “radical left.”
And he's siding with Andy ngo who worked with atomwaffen.
If a group is "radically distributed" to the point you can't pick out its core members, then how can you call it an organization at all?
Because he wants to tar people with the same brush
The Bible is a lot more interesting to read when you respect how disorganized and metaphorical it is
The reason God gave is that Cain "didn't do well" with his sacrifice, with the standard explanation given that he didn't present his best produce to God.

In between the salty splotches on the page words begin to take shape:
"6. Abandon Ideology."
This is awesome lol

As much as these guys talk about the severe dangers of Antifa, the people in charge of dealing with domestic terrorism are far, far more concerned about right wing extremists. They’re more organized, they have guns and they’re angry. That’s a really bad combination, and Peterson ignores them because they buy his books.
Why isn't the media reporting any attacks, rallies, etc?
@@tym5483 wdym? The far right has a strategy of decentralized armed resistance, since the 80s. They don't do rallies, instead, they tend to fortify rural communities and prepare for day X - which mostly does not make for good headlines. “After listening for almost twenty-five years to the stories my patients tell me about sociopaths who have invaded and injured their lives, when I am asked, “How can I tell whom not to trust?” the answer I give usually surprises people. The most reliable sign, the most universal behavior of unscrupulous people is not directed, as one might imagine, at our fearfulness. It is, perversely, an appeal to our sympathy.”
― Martha Stout, The Sociopath Next Door
Goddamn you really like quotes huh? Anyway, I was reading that quote and I couldn’t help but notice that it’s actually fairly ambiguous which way it could lean. I couldn’t help but think about how some alt righter could manipulate this quote into something hateful, how they could juxtapose the sociopath as like, trans people or something.
@@thefatherinthecave943 Oh god, oh fuck. I finally realized who this guy was.
Pathological quote man over here used to post this same stuff on Sam Seder's channel. His thing is basically that he posts block quotes for clout because it makes him sound profound.
I know this because when I pointed out several issues with his attempts to basically armchair diagnose commenters who responded to him as sociopaths, he went on an unhinged rant where he accused me of being one and tried to twist everything I said for the next several hours into "evidence" that I was making this so-called "pity play", even though it literally had nothing to do with what I was saying, which was basically just "as long as you're trying to do right by people by upholding utilitarian good and not taking advantage of people, not feeling empathy isn't really an issue” to people Daniel here was trying to manipulate into seeing him as wise.
I also know this because he accidentally posted a response to me on a sockpuppet after using said sockpuppet to attempt to flood my one singular RUclips video with screaming profanity and insults.
Basically, Daniel is an attention-starved lunatic, but he is very funny to watch, in a tragic sort of way. Kind of like Jordan Peterson.
Also, yes. The quote is from a pretty damn sussy book overall, that's basically full of the author shilling for her own therapeutic practice and basically kind of just argues that profiling people based on intuitive fear and moral essentialism is sound psychology. It's wild. I checked it out specifically because of this shit, and it ain't good.
Edit: I just remembered HOW bad it was. She talks about this group of people she labels sociopaths as being greedy and inherently manipulative, in almost identical-sounding rhetoric to that of an average JQer talking about Jews.
By the way - Hey there, Danny! Did you miss me? I still remember the time you tried to post anon hate... on my RUclips channel, like three to five times before realizing the bot wouldn't let you. @@standoughope yeah, he's a grifter. The Canadian bar wrote him a letter detailing everything he misrepresented and he still kept making the exact same arguments. Vaush missed the chance to make Nero the Emperor.
Pros:
He's completely anachronistic and lived much later than Jesus.
He's somehow related to the Anti-Christ. So, if you wanted, you could even make him somehow defeat Satan and then acquire his power, leading to a Jesus vs Nero battle.
Half of what we know about him has a good chance of not being true anyways!
Cons:
Literally nothing.
Edit: ALSO ALSO!!! Nero had rumors of dressing like a woman and possibly being gay, so they could have him as an ambiguously gay stereotype, to make the story less progressive
@bo rick He was probably a horrible person, but I do like random horrible historical figures. Fate also made me discover more about him.
@bo rick I like Nero. He was a noble commoner. That drove him crazy and I like the tragic irony
@@yeah5895 I don't know where you read rumors of Nero being gay, but I highly suggest questioning that source. Gay is a very recent social construct that is max 100 years old. The romans didnt think of "identities" but rather "actions". They constructed their relations along actions (like the Christians would 1000 years later), which mostly consisted of "penetration" "penetrated". That's also why women could never face prosecutions in medieval France, as long as they didnt use toys they werent penetrating and thus not disturbing the natural order :')

It's like getting mad about something you made up but taken to the extreme and having an existential crisis over it.
Jordan Peterson gives me big Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame energy.
In one of the movies, there should be a bit where Jesus has to explain to everyone that God made Jesus truely binary, whereas he has the hair of a maiden and the beard of a gent. This will play well, as it could be seen as the reason Christians nowadays love the concept of two genders, cause Jesus was actually both.
Na him and Judus should be Disneys first gay couple. That would make the betraal worse Its not gay if Jesus is non binary

Jesus F’ing Christ. Yikes. Really?
I love how the second half of this video is just fanfiction
The end of this video was legitimately the funniest shit I’ve ever heard from Vaush. I was losing my shit imagining the backlash from the evangelical right to a Marvel Jesus movie. It’s crazy to me that a large portion of Marvel moviegoers can look at Thor and say oh that man is fake and this is a stupid superhero movie, but then they legitimately believe that the bible is true and that Jesus is real. When you realize that a large portion of the population is literally insane and believes in magic, the general insanity of society makes a lot more sense.
It's twice as funny to me because a solid third of it is just the plot of a Mel Brooks movie bit that already exists. History of the World Part 1 is a gem.
