Dude is telling Ezra democrats lost because they are the party of the rich now and hearing Ezra Klein not being able to compute that in his brain is why they lost
Nah, its because the republicans are still the ones who pass legislature that only benefits the rich. What have they done that actually helps the poor?
Both parties are controlled by the rich, but one is doing a better job at winning right now. The 10 richest people in America gained $64 billion in wealth after the election. The main divide is cultural now between the two parties, not economic.
Republicans have not stopped being the (a?) party of the rich either, unfortunately, because they are still giving tax brakes to the wealthy while reducing benefits to the poor. So, the moral is, the rich are totally consolidating their regulatory capture of democracy, just in time for AI and robotics to completely replace labor.
Honestly, disagree. I'll say the quiet part out loud, we ARE actually more likely to be more intelligent. Sometimes stereotypes are based in reality. Tired of being PC about people's feelings.
No. Not exactly. A person has to have at least near average intelligence like trump to earn a college degree. Perhaps a better way to put it is : Equating "college educated" with "wise" is like equating "church-going" with "virtuous."
The “degreed class” doesn’t work? That’s news to me. I have two degrees, neither paid for by my parents, though my mom used to bring food over to make sure I was eating well. I worked before, during and after getting them. How is that arrogant?
I love listening to Ezra Klein. While he is insightful, well researched, and intelligent, he and many of his colleagues cling to this notion that voters base their decisions on policy and logic. We now see how much emotions, aspirations, identity and just plain lack of knowledge are very influential if not more influential.
Lots of projection there for an ideology that is fine not having a primary vote, has pushed through indoctrination and censorship at every level of the education establishment, refuses to acknowledge the destruction they inflict that causes people to vote with their feet from the blue excrement holes etc., etc., etc.
Interesting point that pushes a manipulative explanation as to why college students move to the Left, and even the irrational far Left, even so far Left they fall off the scale into supporting global terrorism.
Holding on to conservative values is not merely a subjective, emotional thing. Do your research, well functioning societies often hold on to conservative values. This is because liberal values often lead to liberal policies which while well meaning, often icentivize behaviors not conducive to cross-generational wealth accumulation. This is a VERY BIG elephant in the room the liberal elites choose not to address. That's why Asian Americans, Latinos, Indian Americans look at Dem policies and say, nope, I don't want this nonsense for my family/clan! We Asians have a very long history. We have stood the test of time and we have learned a thing or two about what works & what doesn't.
I appreciate this interesting discussion, but as a Latina who’s seen the community around me in NYC move +20% to the right since the Obama era: there’s a lot more to it than just “we don’t want to be associated with the party of the poor.” It’s ironic that now Dems have open borders & huge handouts & temp legal status to Haitians, bc Obama deported >3 million people, more than any POTUS in history. He was unspeakably cruel to Latinos, even supporting the “kids in cages” policy & building the cages they blame Trump for. We called Obama “deporter-in-chief.” Trump for all his faults only deported about 1mil & yet achieved the most secure border & lowest illegal immigration in modern times, largely through deterrence messaging. We’ve also seen inflation go up under Biden/ Harris expansionary monetary policy, printing money & dumping it into the economy, then creating a housing shortage by letting in millions of migrants & giving housing vouchers. We literally see & feel the impact of these policies in our communities, especially here in NY. I know Ezra is aware, too, because he mentioned it on Pod Save America. This concept of Trump as some poor man’s idea of a rich man might be true, but that’s not why he gets votes from Latinos (or anyone else, I assume). He’s morally a centrist, perhaps the most progressive GOP POTUS candidate ever, at a time when Dems are pushing trans surgeries for illegal migrants in prison. Bill Maher said it best- it’s not about that 1 policy, it’s about the fact that it’s a litmus test for how out-of-touch the candidate is. Dems cannot ask us with a straight face to give nuc codes & military power to a candidate who tells us men can give birth & should play women’s sports
Just be honest, this about the. Latino being associated with whiteness, it is what it is. As far as the cages… it was started by 45 and that’s a fact. All your words are just that. You will see the cruelty he will bring upon your people in around late January of 2025. My community is use to this behavior we have survived it all. We have always been on the bottom truth is you are hoping your association with whiteness will save you. We will all stand back and watch. Good luck hun.
I am actually shocked that I haven’t heard a word about how farmers are doing. Farm income is down 23% in 2024 and it hasn’t been this bad for farmers since 2007. Not a word!
And farmers vote for Republicans who then say engage in factory farming or quit farming. Farmers have been hurting for awhile but there is a political and economic disconnect between what would be good for many of them and who they vote for.
If Democrats want working class voters, they need to focus on working class issues. People dont give a shit about LGBT policy if they can't afford a house, education, healthcare, or food. Chalking it up to bigotry and racism is what got Democrats here in the first place. Look at all long term statistics, housing is expensive, education is expensive, wealth inequality is high, and median wages stagnated since the 70s. People have real grievances, and Democrats have ignored them for so long, that theyre willing to support a bigot like Trumo not because they're bigots, but because they're more angry at the left than they are repulsed by Trumps personality. He at least diagnosis the peoblem, although his solutions are incorrect.
"Democrats have ignored them" is such a joke. NO. Democrats have been working on those exact issues of wealth inequality, housing, access to education and health care, while the GOP has been doing everything they possibly can to stop it. The problem is not that Democrats are ignoring this stuff, its that half the country gets their news from Fox news, Facebook, and Twitter. Joe Biden steered the economy into the softest landing of any nation on earth after the world-wide economic calamity caused by COVID. Even though we handled the pandemic worse than almost any other nation, once Biden got in and took over the running of the government, we managed to avoid most of the economic damage. But people who live in the Fox New bubble never heard any of it. Its pathetic. People bitch and moan about Democrats, then turn around and let the GOP just shit in their cereal bowl.
Let's be very clear, you still don't understand the issue and are creating your own 'democrat' excuse. Working class doesn't give an F about 'I identify as a bi-gender-unicorn' because it has nothing to do with realitiy, NOT because you THINK you understand them, because you clearly don't. If you think people voted Trump because he is a bigot, it is exactly why people stopped voting on people like you. People vote against corruption, but your excuse is 'oh they are upset'. Talk about white supremism..
Bigotry and racism is a problem. When you dismiss those issues you dismiss the very group who built this country and actually fought for their freedom. Racism and Bigotry impact blacks through economic justice. Blacks are the only group who have worked since day one and yet there is this racist narrative that blacks are lazy. Blacks are the ones who built their communities and the only ones to get their communities burned down by outsiders. Black people care less about the N word used and more about under qualified people being giving jobs. No reason why blacks are going to trade schools or universities and illegals and immigrants and certain women get prioritized over them. Blacks are attacked by both parties. They are told abort your babies but nobody else is. Eric Garner got killed over a loose cigarette but an illegal hispanic can sell illegal tamales and the cops do nothing. Freedom first some is oppression for others.
Any academic, pundit, politician, or internet commenter who thinks blue collar or trade work doesn't require as much intelligence or critical thinking as getting a big deal college degree has never actually done that kind of work.
22:27 this is spot on. My spouse and I were young and naive about politics and the world in general, registering to vote for the first time in 1980. I asked the clerk “What’s the difference between Democrats and Republicans?”She replied “Republicans are for the rich people and Democrats are for the poor.” Her intent was probably different but what happened was that we looked at each other and thought “well we don’t want to be with the poor people!” So, even though we didn’t have a pot to piss in we registered Republican and voted that way for the next 30 years without ever considering which policies benefited us better. I think this happens to a lot of people; you buy the T-shirt and you vote for that team without ever considering whether that team has your best interests at heart.
I recommend, for now on, you register independent and make up your own mind about policies, and not about your feelings or emotions or your aspirations.
A lot of liberals and Democrats don’t want to hear this, but talking about climate change. Israel/Gaza, transgender rights and setting up a summer camp for squirrels are seen as way too intellectual and “egghead”, nerdy dorky issues. The common voter doesn’t care about that. The common voter cares about money, and safety. Most people don't give a flying fuck about Israel and Gaza and are sick of hearing of it, even if we know America has a hand it in. Focus on the economy, higher wages, lower prices and security…then once you get into office you can do the climate reform and talk about abortion and gays, trans people and handle Israel/Gaza.
That only works for one election. If you talk about kitchen table issues when running, but then concentrate on Trans rights, racial reparations, climate change when you're in office, no one will trust your party next election.
But there was messaging related to these issues, there was the child tax credit, the tax breaks for start-ups, the promises to put price caps on groceries, the down payment assistance, the re-introduction of the new border bill that trump had the Republican Party shut down, the at home care for elders…I mean there were so many things in there that were supposed to be attractive to lower income folks. And yes it would have added a couple of trillion to the deficit, but trumps plan if fully implemented will add more than 2x more to the deficit than what Kamala’s would. But I guess they don’t want real policy solutions, they just want to hear that someone will be “punished” for the suffering of the American people, despite the fact that his policies will punish the American people even more.
Most Americans are self-centred at their core. They don’t care about anyone but their immediate families and they know and care almost nothing about any other country or international affairs. We saw this during the COVD-19 pandemic and the 2024 Presidential election. The Democrat’s ideology is about the greater good but the average American has been taught that that is socialism or communism. Americans really need to learn about other countries’ models of democracy. Look to those lists of countries with the best quality of life, examine what they do to achieve their high ranking and work to adopt those things. It’s such shame that America is having such trouble recognizing what’s good for them and achieving their true potential.
Listening to this NYT times guy trying to understand what this guy is telling him is hilarious. You can tell the Democrats are going to double down on their BS.
It's unfair when one party is the cause of hardship for the masses, and their pitch for control is give us your rights or we will make the economy worse.
Is anyone else bothered by the implicit assumption in this conversation that voter’s perceptions have little or nothing to do with economic or political reality? Seems like politics is about connecting with voter’s beliefs, and not about connecting voters with reality.
That’s how politics is. The fact of the matter is that unemployment is at 4% and inflation is gone, but voters still perceive, incorrectly, that the economy isn’t doing well. What matters is what they perceive, not reality as it is. I’ll say what Ezra won’t: voters are stupid. Voters don’t vote on what’s actually in their interest. They vote on tribalism, culture wars, and beliefs. If you ask republicans about specific Democratic economic policies, they like the policies. They still won’t vote for democrats. One need not look further than the disparity between the states voting outcomes for president and the abortion referendums on their ballots this year to prove that out.
@@VirginiaBronsonlmao pls tell my friends who have literally had to move bc of rising rents how awesome the economy is. This democratic elitism is what cost us the election and I’m so sick of it. A lot of democrats really are snobby, upper middle class elitists who don’t have a clue. I’ve known trump would win for months lmao it’s amazing how shocked more privileged voters are rn
@ I don’t disagree, though I think you’re being a bit cynical. I’m trying to take the view from 40,000 feet. Voters and humans at large are *increasingly* disconnected from reality. I don’t think this is just the way it has always been and will be. I think it’s going to get worse if we can’t learn to make facts, or reality, or “objective truth” matter more to voters in this media environment. It’s a real problem, and I don’t think politicians or their media consultants really have a grasp of it currently. I think educating and informing voters about reality more effectively and cutting through misinformation is a solvable problem. Maybe that seems naive, and maybe it’s unattainable. But I suspect it’s really important if we want to protect our institutions and improve people’s lives.
The public chose the reality of the W. Bush Administration as having legitimate reasons to invade Iraq and overthrow it's government, committing us to twenty years of fruitless war. I'm not sorry to say that no matter the economic "vibes" choosing Trump is still asinine. The Germans were at points using wheelbarrows of paper money to buy food. There is nothing even close to that. We don't even have actual economic hardships to blame for electing a Far Right Reactionary Authoritarian regime in total. It's pathetic. I say this as a member of the working, non college educated demo myself.
A good politician is like a successful marketeer. He or she can define the problems voters have in a way that the obvious solutions are what the politician is offering. The Dems need to run better salespeople at the top of the ticket. Harris was better than Biden but not good enough to reach those key demographics.
"democrats were appalled" well, that doesn't mean anything does it? Them being personally "appalled" I'd say more precisely: they EXPECTED people of color to be appalled, did they ask them if they were?
Hispanic/Latino demos are wild because many are now and have been for some time much more aligned culturally given the strong Christian presence in the varying cultures. It's been the overt racism and using immigrants from South of the border as punching bags that's made so many automatic Anti-GOP votes, but again... There's strong strains of Conservatism in there, always has been. A long with a lot of Colorism. Facts are many Latinos would consider themselves "White" and as many generations get more "Americanized" they default to thinking in terms of the White majority. So... A swing to Trump is not the big deal many make or surprising in the Hispanic communities. As for other groups? A 8-10 ish shift aside, Black Men showed up for Harris against Trump as well as Black Women and Jewish Americans. It's White suburban men who voted for Biden then that dipped on Harris in 2024.. Understand... Minorities by and large know what's up. MAGAs make their meaning plain. Some just bought the hype about how an economy recovering well from a huge (mismanaged) pandemic is like the Great Depression. Also, they don't understand that if Trump goes through with their tariffs they can probably kiss their Christmas bones away, plus the higher prices... But no, it's worth it... 😂
They’re used to telling us what to get appalled about. They don’t register that we have gotten less easily appalled as we cope with real hard times. I can care less about tacky tasteless jokes and name calling since Covid made my life a scramble.
A great podcast. Here is a rational Republican dealing in facts and shades. Democrats must pay attention. To all Klein haters here, he listened more than he spoke and he chose his interlocutor brilliantly. Harris’s whole economic pitch was aimed at economic aspiration, bringing prices down and protecting middle class entitlements, not the minimum wage, the safety net or the poor. That was not one of her problems or misfires of which there were so many, at least according to this podcast's guest. That part of the election she and her team got right. It is ENTIRELY Biden and his enablers’ fault we did not have a better messenger. A huge problem is that new Republican voters choose to ignore facts and long-term planning and for whatever decency or transcendence they need find it outside of real generous patriotism and Roosevelt's four freedoms, in the unities of faith, or microcultures or ethno-nationalism/populism/tribalism. Not a few probably don't know what kind of regime they are voting for if they simply don't like the economy right now (anti-incumbent voters). They want to protect their own rights and entitlements but also fully embrace low tax , low regulation , privatized services of Texas and Florida and the South generally. In effect they are willingly giving power to the capitalist oligarchs by abandoning real care, human or national solidarity, for those who are indeed the poor and those who become poor as the result of unexpected events like sickness and age. That is why they no longer have any pity or solidarity for migrants. They no longer care about democracy or rights overall so longer as they feel they have theirs in the bag. They have given themselves over to the atomized self-interest inherent to capitalism. They get their feeling of care for others outside of the national good, in church or at rallies or the manosphere. Abortion rights fit this model perfectly, As Melania made clear in her book which I think was not just election propaganda: I have my abortions rights in New York or through a ballot measure so I don’t need to protect anyone else’s with a national measure. Union members and women who voted for Trump too. Embracing short-term self-interest is the real Republican creed. And no-one should discount the power of disinformation. People are incapable of actually looking up economic figures or border crossing to establish for themselves or by reading experts that Trump is lying. They want to believe the big CEO in the sky will fix it because he says he will and because the good economy Trump inherited chugged along well before Covid. Will they even be able to perceive the depth of the scam when it hits them? If not democracy is doomed in this country, which will look more like Hungary, Turkey, Israel or India in ten years than it does a fully liberal free society.
I think the time of the bleeding heart is over in the West until economic good times come back for the working class and the lower middle class. It's easier to care when you're not worried about your own situation, and for a lot of ordinary citizens their situation at the moment is dire. All the things comfortable middle class people worry about, like Gaza, Ukraine, trans rights, identity politics, immigration, misinformation/disinformation, funding for the Arts and issues of this ilk are not the issues you should be banging on about during a cost of living crisis in your country. Democrats needed to be banging on about what they are going to do about the issues of the less fortunate citizens of their own country like being able to pay rent, put food on the table, job security and their children's future etc.. The average citizen doesn't care about your academic arguments about "disinformation," they know what they see in their own life and sphere, your elitist arguments, the things you care about all fall on deaf ears when people are in fear of losing the roof over their head and going hungry with no prospect of a job or upward mobility. Mark you are part of the problem, your life is good, you can comfortably think of 'others' because your life situation 'affords' you that opportunity and luxury. I too enjoy the comfort of 'leisure time,' to have the time to navel gaze, contemplate, ruminate and pontificate while the poor suffer. You will not have to 'really' bear the brunt of your impoverished mind and ruinous decision making, you are barricaded by your 'comfortableness' from the terrible realities of the world. Trump is a bad person, but a better choice than Harris, in other words, at the moment the Republicans were a better choice than the Democrats, based facts Mark.

This was Ezra Klein participating in a re-packaging of Ronald Reagan's Friedmanism of the 80s, justifying massive inequality because new immigrants or immigrants in hot locations like the Rio Grande Valley that he singles out to use as a general case are easily coerced or manipulated. Same with recent Asian immigrant populations, but a little different. The right-wing think tanks have the money and infrastructure to study and engineer political messaging that leaves Democrats/Liberals in the dust - no matter how much attention they pay to these arguments.
You clearly hate people who voted the other way, think you understand them better than they understand themselves, and don’t even want to be associated with people like that, so you make it very clear there’s no reason to expect a seat at the Democrat table, so don’t vote Democrat. It’s a very persuasive arrogance that definitely affects election outcomes. And it pervades the Democrat party.
Dont worry, the capitalist oligarchs are firmly in control of the democrats. Harris being the nominee is proof. They couldnt risk a good canidate (Phills or Williamson for example) winning the election and taking away some of their profits. And the "they" is pharma/chem/ag/ins/banks. The millitary industiral complex owns both sides
The divide is between the elitists and the populists. The elitists tell the working class that the last 4 years of their lives were great. The working class disagrees.
the elitists, are of course, not the people backed by the two richest men in the world, in bezos and elon, alongside their candidate being a literal billionaire
That was the dumbest comment I have ever heard. Billionaires and oligarchs like orange chump, muskrat, thiel are not elitists? Chump brags to have a lot of money, and yet begs for it everyday. Give me a break!
@@MarkSav1 Trump was surrounded by billionaire support, like Bezos, Zuckerberg, Thiel, and especially Musk. But Elon has a public persona that a lot of people don't identify as being a billionaire, they identify him as being more of like, a leader for progress, because that's how he cosplays. It's the same reason people think Trump is a successful billionaire. Trump inherited all of his money, and Musk didn't found a single one of the tech companies he's famous for.
As far as her timidity in interviews. She had seen her old Lester Holt interview and was absolutely terrified at what she saw. That look of terror was evident in even the most softball of interviews. It’s really hard to mentally bury true fears and attempting to falsely appear strong, competent, and confident. Overall, she was a terrible pick. Ever think Biden was pissed at Nancy about being booted, and personally endorsed the worst possible choice? He wasn’t going to endorse anyone, remember?
Learn how to write and communicate. But I think I get your point which is about her/Kamala Harris. Don't use a pronoun when you have no referal to what you talking about. I was against Biden from the beginning because the entire purpose of the Biden campaign was to lock Bernie Sanders out of the Democratic party forever. Bernie could not fight this so he rolled over and played dead to try to have a voice in the upcoming Biden administration in 2020. Biden shined Bernie on and gave some lip service ... did the minimum to keep people thinking there was a Progressive streak still in the Democratic party, but it was all for nothing. Bernie got shafted, same as in 2016. Biden also chose a horrible candidate, Kamala Harris, with a progressive background who could be eviscerated if she got too uppity or tried to have a say or expose Biden's duplicity. The economy recovered, because that is what the American economy does only because no one screwed it over during Biden's term, but Biden basically did nothing in his Presidency but play bigshot. He tore at Trump but never went to the people to rally support for any of his supposed Progressive ideals. That's because there were none. So Biden just wanted to play President and being senile he just let things roll forward as they may, and was surprised at how much credit he got for doing that, and made the deliberately fatal mistake of running for a second term. I think any political analyst on the inside of the Democratic party could have seen what he was doing - and it was all about discrediting and disempowering the Left. When he got so bad that he could not even continue that farce, he had to quit, leaving an undeserving, incompetent Kamala Harris as the standard bearer of liberalism. Kamala Harris who no one liked and no one voted for or wanted as the only possible inheritor of his power by sheer mechanics. Biden, Pelosi, Newsom, and others in the top Democratic leadership have been working to destroy the Democratic party and secure everlasting rule for the super-rich. Barren Kamala Harris did not even get anything out of the deal except being a good soldier and doing her job. She even got used and screwed by her own husband in this line of thinking.
Biden gave all of that to the American people. He brought unemployment down to 4 percent, and boosted wage growth. He strengthend and supported unions. He was the President for the working class. None of it mattered...
@@garad123456 no, but people THINK he is. Also people don't know the difference between an inflation rate and price increases. Biden brought inflation down better than any other global leader but people didn't believe it because prices didn't go back down. But you know what? The way a market economy deals with that is to raise wages, which we've done; if the prices go back down again it's because of a severe recession or depression.
@garad123456 Whether he will be or not isn't really the point. He focused his campaign more on economics than the dems, who pretty much ignored it when it continuously polled as the top issue
this is the best breakdown of the election result I’ve heard thus far! Really trying to be objective and fair on both ends - seriously, THIS is what most people want to hear.
2022 setting up the democrats for failure since they took the wrong lessons is very insightful. Makes sense that the electorate in midterms are much more partisan concerned with dobs and democracy than presidential elections where they were concerned with economy and immigration.
As interesting as all this is, it feels like the wrong questions. We can debate all day who the perfect candidate might've been to appeal to working class voters and make it slightly less likely that Trump would pull this off. It's obvious to most people now that Biden running for reelection was a catastrophic error. But the margins of Trump's victory are high enough that this could very well have happened even if we'd replaced the incumbent administration candidate earlier. Harris ran as a fairly moderate Democrat whose campaign was remarkably savvy about not falling into the identical politics traps that annoy people. It was a remarkable comeback from the polling nightmare Biden left her. She deserves great credit for the tireless campaign she ran under difficult circumstances and I don't think anyone else in the DNC could've filled that role better under those difficult circumstances. It wasn't a perfect campaign, but it was a darn good one. If she'd had even a month more to campaign, we might all be celebrating her as the hero who saved democracy after Joe Biden nearly threw it away. Now everyone will list ad nauseam the reasons the highly qualified, likable Black woman who's dedicated her life to public service just wasn't quite good enough to beat the rambling madman sexual predator wannabe dictator who encouraged his supporters to stop election certification and said, "So what?" when the mob wanted to murder his VP. We need to never lose sight of the insanity of that situation in how we talk about her. If the DNC and America failed, I don't think it's because they didn't have the perfect candidate. Every Democratic alternative to Harris who comes to mind had other weaknesses and likely would've gotten similar vote share as she did. She lost because the other candidate was a strongman rich asshole in an environment where people love that stuff, show up in droves for it. Because they like Trump's vibes, the rich asshole who promises to make me a rich asshole too, who gives me permission to "say it like it is," even if it's ignorant, harmful nonsense. The people who voted for him liked Harris' policies better. But aligning with a strongman is always gonna resonate with lower educated people who vote on vibes instead of facts. And we live in an environment where we can easily find loads of misinformation and conspiracy theories to justify our ugliest impulse to ignore the facts and vote for the asshole. America is happily sliding into autocracy because people like aligning with the ugliness of Trump, and so far American institutions have barely put up a fight. Why didn't the DNC when in power put in protections to prevent a convicted felon who tried to overturn an election and whose entire platform has been undo democratic institutions from being allowed to run the country? Well, because they thought it'd make people upset and cause them to lose the presidency and Senate. They couldn't see the long game. They lost what they were afraid of losing anyway, and now the most destructive force in politics is the commander-in-chief. Again. TLDR: By all means, the DNC should self-examine and try to find a more everyday politician who can help appeal to and peel off a bit more of the uneducated working class vote that's drifting to the right. But the failure to Trump-proof democratic processes and the normalizing of him and strongman politics is why we lost, and American institutions will be paying the price for a long, long time.
This is very well put. There is no perfect person anywhere in the Democratic Party (including Bernie, or Pete Buttigieg, who are smart but don't have magic wands to make people think more critically) who could have canceled out these cultural pressures. We have to hold the media -- that includes Hollywood -- accountable, and I see people under age 60 doing that a lot better than the elderly, so many of whom are still obsessed with imagistic bullshit about strong or sublimely intelligent white men solving all the world's problems.
That's a good point. The Dem vote dropped so much, and the shift occurred because a good chunk of Dem voters from 2020 did not show up, not because they switched to the other side. Even then, it's looking like Latino Males voted 56% for Kamala overall, contradicting some earlier exit polls that showed the figure in the 40s. Biden won 58% of the Latino Male vote in 2020 by comparison. So it's not looking like the huge realignment that is being talked about all over media.
just listen to them speak and look at what they look like. None of these people could comfortably interact with an average blue collar worker. They're in this weird Brooklyn bubble.
Is that why they vote for a party that wants to repeal Obamacare, take away their Medicaid (people who need it are mostly non-college voters) and subsidies to be able to buy health insurance or vote for the party who in federal and state level constantly passes anti uniin, anti-worker bills for their business base while Democrats constantly pass union supporting worker friendly laws? What could Biden do more for the working class people? If it weren't for Manchin, he would have done more but Manchin blocked it and clipped it in half. And these voters is voting for a party that banned heat protections for workers in hot summer Florida. Figure that out. None of these alignment is economical. It is all cultural. People care about 40 trans athletes playing sports in 800k athletes NCAA more than their own health, income. They like Trump because they are like Trump. They just use the economy as an excuse to vote for him in order to block the cognitive dissonance of realizing that they are as bad a person as Trump. They have to find another justification to feel good and just 2.4% inflation is the reason.
@@direwolf6234 and which of these Americans don't have? One would think Americans live in Gaza or Ukraine if they look at their bitching about everything stupid thing. They complain about 2.4% inflation for pete's sake.

There is no real world benefit for curiosity and you can easily be curious and love learning your life and still be poor, so why bother? stop using deliberate misleading euphemisms - undocumented is a deliberate way to avoid saying what that man DID and therefore IS - he was here ILLEGALLY Undocumented makes it sound as if his not being a citizen was just an oversight, a clerical error... like maybe the census worker just hadnt made it round to him yet - the man in your story ENTERED THE COUNTRY ILLEGALLY - indeed his FIRST ACT in America, HE COMMITTED A CRIME !!! and therefore, DID NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE HERE REGARDLESS. of what a good man he was or how well liked he was. had he come LEGALLY as millions of others have, he would still be here - ostensibly, no one FORCED him to come ILLEGALLY, that was almost certainly HIS CHOICE and therefore HIS BEING DEPORTED was HIS RESPONSIBILITY - not President Trumps, not mine not yours - all the president is doing is ENFORCING THE RULE OF LAW that has been on the books since the beginning. what part of that cant you get your mind around - quit playing games with the truth and call things for what they are because America has had enough of the manipulative dishonest game playing like calling ILLEGAL ALIENS undocumented dreamers.
or put it like this, you have a house, you pay for it, you have a family , your family that lives there too, and then a guy just shows up - hes in your living room one morning, you didnt ask him in, he didnt ask to come, he broke in and isnt planning on leaving. you will need to house him, pay for him and be ok with that, the neighbors like him - whats the problem man ??? he not an intruder or a burglar, he s "unanticipated guest" - you gonna really tell me you would have no problem with that, that the fellow of course can stay - in your home...uninvited?? get it pal???

If mass deportation happens, lots of these blue collar workers who voted for Trump in logistics, warehousing, truck driving, and service industries are in danger of losing their jobs.
as an immigrant white dude, college STEM educated I would throw up in my mouth seeing the “in this house we believe in science” , “no person is illegal” and such other liberal messages. The problem is that the people who refuse to learn have a point, because what material benefits do you actually receive from devoting your life to learning? It literally is better for the average person's future to get worse grades in school and instead focus on sports and socializing, there is no real direct life improvement gained from getting As and having heavy involvement in academic ventures.
@@maknavickasmost people who get formal education are better equipped to learn more and hence tend to do better as a result. The "average person" you talk about also needs learning to survive or excel in their non-academic ventures. Much education that's relevant for their tread will inherently make this learning easier.

Remember, Harris asked voters to go to one of Trump’s rallies and see that he does not talk about them. The rallies were all about him, his problems, with a heavy dose of America bashing. How could voters ever have dreamed he cared about them? He does not. (Notwithstanding the awkward, phony-looking appearance at McDonalds.)
I’ve actually had an epiphany this recent election cycle. As an African-American I had to come to terms with the black community is a monolith in the way we vote, act and think. However, that is not a bad thing and I’ve come to see it as a strength.
How when 25% of black men and 12% of women didn't vote for Harris? And we vote to protect what little rights we have. A dead black can't work or reproduce can they?? The boostraps narrative is tired for black people. Shaming blacks for being smart and wanting more is tired. Telling blacks go rack up student loan debt to get ahead is tired.
What’s unclear to me is how either president will affect the economy. The stimulus is what caused inflation (it was obvious at the time that it would) but it’s also what’s contributed to our current economic growth, because the economy kept running. So, who knows how Trump will affect us in a second term. Policies enacted while he was in office caused inflation, but also caused growth. Long term, what will the impact be?
The American economy is not immune to the consequences of an open border.. lack of immigration controls (forget about of the lack of policy) is what broke the camel's back because where do they send these new immigrants .. Martha's Vineyard - NO.. if Barack and Michelle were to open their mansion to the new immigrants... maybe we'd be having a more interesting conversation. But they didn't.
Very good podcast. Shows that the Democrats didn't knew the electorate as well as it should. They had certain assumptions about the women, latinos, etc. that weren't correct. Question is why they didn't get it right. I guess they liked the assumptions, fitted a narrative about the electorate they are comfortable with. Lesson: question assumption and do the research.
They thought that the way the won the 2020 election would be the same way the would win 2024. I guess they didn't read their tea leaves right? I mean Trump has now won the election twice against two women... just saying!
they chose their donors, the economic policies they could run with they would win by a landslide and have to enact, they would rather lose than have that.
Because that’s historically always one of the negative impacts of mass migration that cause it to be viewed as a humanitarian disaster that deserves intervention.
The myth of Whiteness, Italians, Irish and Eastern European were nit considered white just as many consider hispanics non white today. As hispanic cultures get integrated into American culture the distinction between white and hispanic is disappear
Yes, I think democrats attempt to ‘other’ Hispanics from their European roots was always bound to be of limited success. Indeed, calling those who are essentially of Spanish or Portuguese descent ‘non-white’ is kinda racist, no? I don’t think they appreciate it.
I would have liked a discussion of the visions of the two parties for the future of America-their values and visions. I believe that the GOP has no vision of the future, only a nostalgia for the 1950's because it was before the Civil Rights Movement and Feminism. Of course, it was also a time of the post-WW II booming economy and optimism. So long as the GOP has no vision for the future, it is the party of No, Stop, anger and fear. This is a major problem for our country.
Over and over again, we tell you: A significant part of this vote was against the DNC media monolith. Insane Clown President Trump has his true believers, but they are not the point. The point is, What about the Democrats has become so "toxic" to so many citizens that they were willing to vote Orange or to stay home and let Orange happen?
In 2016, yes, if he'd entered the race four months earlier he'd have had the nomination, and with it the election, and it was because he came across as a true independent. In 2020, no -- he ran a conventional liberal talking points campaign while Republicans had seen the Bernie threat in 2016 and adapted to it by going back for some 1950s-grade demagoguing of socialism.
Taking on the Chaney’s to create a contrast against Trump showed KH didnt understand the current position the voters have against unreasonable military intervention
What's more reasonable than allowing Vlad to trash post WW2 world order? The voters were told that the money they could have used to fuel up their big arse pickus was sent to Ukraine. American voters are a disgrace, and global affairs should not be at the mercy of American selfish shortsighted stupidity, true.
Hispanics are intensely tribal. Mexican Americans resent the legal and illegal immigration of Hispanics from South American nations. In Texas, they are the indigenous people along with American Indian tribes. Azteca were so competitive that they kidnapped people from neighboring tribes and offered them as human sacrifice. Some Mexicans are their descendants.
I like books. And authors do research to write books that helps qualify them to speak with authority. Hence the relationship between the words author and authority.
We have stood the test of time and we have learned a thing or two about what works & what doesn't, and no Democrat (or Republican for that matter, but these days, mostly it's the Democrats) is going to tell us what is right & what is wrong.
As a psych person who studies mental health we have long known that psychological warfare is a real thing and many groups of people during times of hardship are more prone to a cultish personality such as Trump’s. Trump gives off love and acceptance for those in pain and promises to fix all their problems. It can and has proved to be irresistible. The only hope is that our populous can learn and get educated at spotting lies and misinformation in a time where confirmation bias can create fear and illogical thinking. I make sure I pay attention to my own bias’s and realize I can be wrong so try really hard to listen to those who I disagree with and hone my skills on positive debate skills by studying history and consulting experts on both sides of an issue. Allot of work but allows me to listen more, speak less, and take to heart we all basically want the same thing, a sense of belonging and being heard.
You can analyse the results all you want - it basically comes to this - who do you believe and do they affirm the things that are important to you? Instead of just polling voters maybe they should ask them questions about what is important to them and then come to a conclusion of the likelihood they would vote Democratic vs Republican.
So many of us are used to being berated and shamed for our values, what makes you think anyone will be motivated to openly expose themselves so you can exploit that information to use against them?
His position is basically that the election was decided by about January because inflation didn’t come down fast enough. The crappy part is that Trump is going to inherit a great economy (full employment and 2% inflation) and will immediately take all the credit.
I thought Harris was very specific with her economic policy, and seemed to demonstrate an awareness of aspiration towards a better economic future. Trump gave few details, and you seem to be implying that low turnout voters were swept along and inspired to vote by the fact that Trump, a wealthy man, was claiming he would make life better for them, in a kind of Santa Claus way. One thing that struck me, as an Australian, was the heavy Democrat emphasis on the "middle class". Later in the campaign, "working people" was added, but I would have expected "working people" to have had more universal appeal, right from the beginning.
Harris was a woman and men in the US simply refuse to hear a woman when she speaks out loud. The Dems are so sexist that they are still commenting on what she did or didn't do right. Trump was ghastly, stupid, vague, and transparently venal, but the liberal media is giving him a pass because "it must have been something we did wrong." 30 years of bullying, lying and outright propaganda is what happen. Half the country bought the disinformation and outright lack of reporting on his statements and behavior.
This kind of thinking is exactly why Trump won and will continue to win in future elections. Trump won in virtually every demographic and socioeconomic class - even the Amish. If you follow other governments in the world - you will see all the left wing governments will lose - for the same reasons Trump won. Don't ignore the obvious because it has been out there for many years.
price gouging and extra cash for new houses are failed socialistic policies that have been thoroughly rejected in many european countries . her middle class rhetoric fell on deaf ears cuz people know democratic party supports unmeritocratic policies which turn off aspirational lower middle class and new new legal immigrants .
You forget that people lived under his economic policy before. We don’t have to take his word for it. Harris was a nobody until a few months ago. And not chosen by the Democrat electorate because Dems were committed to covering up Biden’s cognitive decline and putting him through another election just to help them win because he was popular.
Point on the younger woman voter: So my daughter has been extremely impacted by the economy. The cost of schooling, housing, cost of food, trying to get a car, etc has been something we’ve discussed on a regular basis. She would frequently say that I and parents of my generation don’t understand what her generation is facing. So, in her mind, abortion rights seem more of an abstract. Her cohort is not getting pregnant, and not planning kids because they can’t afford them. She’s 25. None of her girlfriends have kids! Also, because these women grew up when this was available they haven’t faced or seen the widespread consequences of back alley abortions etc. The rights I marched for are not immediate to her. We saw in this election that the older ladies came out for abortion rights. So while I thought the lack of abortion rights would motivate the younger women to vote D, perhaps not as much.
I think their assumptions are things can’t get worse. They f’d around and are about to find out. Have they heard that Elon and the GOP are now targeting birth control? This will be interesting. I have my bag of popcorn and will sit back and watch.
Because they control how we form our language because few are actual readers of books these days. They have already won 45 years ago. We have no choice but to abandon the two parties and create a 3rd option.

Democrats should have taken a play from the Republican Play Book. Reagan was a former movie star, Trump was a Reality TV star. Democrats should have run George Clooney. Clooney would have excelled at the role of being a charismatic candidate.
The core issue is: when you run around making a big deal about "how saying mean things make people feel sad" you are saying you do not care about the basic material needs of people and that you are more concerned about virtue signaling than helping people make ends meet.
Also how are you going to say immigration was the issue that made a difference when the Dems have been spouting tough on immigration rhetoric and tried passing the harshest immigration bill in history. That certainly is not endearing voters who do have a positive view on immigration to your party.
I have a question? When looking at the economic policies of each party .Why does our viewpoints always geared toward a top down perspective of how to improve everyone bottom line. How about incorporating at the same time a bottom up (grassroot) approach of teaching financial literacy .Obviously, we see many people just a paycheck away from financial disaster. I don't think either party can think outside the box.
MSG did not seem like a disaster...i love how Trump leaned into the garbage talk. And the stunt from McDonalds was great. "Worked 15 minutes longer at McDonalds than Kamala." Lol so good.
2 big reasons for the divide between college-educated Americans and those without a college education are: 1. higher incomes for some college majors (law, stem, medical profession) and 2. the Leftist political indoctrination of most college graduates (wokeness, critical race theory, marxist/socialist theory). In the case of example 1, the working class, especially lower-skilled members of that group, are struggling to makes ends meet and the high income college graduates can not understand their struggle. In the 2nd example, most working class Americans do not like crazy Leftist ideas or they find them repugnant or weird. If you add in the contempt that many upper class democrats have for the working class (calling them racist, sexist, stupid, deplorable, or garbage ), you can understand why they voted against the democrats. It's not too difficult to understand why 2024 happened if you can unplug yourself from the Left-wing echo chamber. I say all of this as a college graduate making a mid 6 figures salary but who always leaned to the right and saw this Left-wing lunacy coming from academia. My father was in the building trades and I worked him when I was growing up. I also served in the Marines. This experience enabled me to defy the Left-wing programming that my university attempted to force on me.
Listening to this podcast, and Ezra remaining so utterly clueless, reminds me of how he completely went off the cliff when he had his tiff with Sam Harris - completely clueless to the regressive mind virus that has completely captured him. I wish you all the best, Ezra. But the first step to learning is to acknowledge that you have gotten everything fundamentally wrong. And reexamine all of your core assumptions about the REALITY and TRUTH of the world.
Harris would not have gotten my vote without Cheney's endorsement. I was going to write in Nikki Haley. Given that Haley got almost five million votes from people like me, I don't know if I would automatically throw Cheney under the bus without some stats to back it all up. Especially since the postmortem has just begun. The prevailing opinion that I am seeing and hearing is that people do not like progressive policies and that the party went too far left. That plus anti incumbency fever and the remnants of inflation, and the 20? million immigrants that Biden let in. That is likely why we lost. I am not going back to a MAGAfied GOP any time soon. Now the question is, do the Dems want me or not? We shall see. And this was the problem with Harris's coalition. It was one and it was broad. She tried to keep people like me without losing the left, and vice versa. Given the sentiments of the country, I am not sure anyone could have done better. Ezra, your twitter feed maybe didn't love the optics at the Ellipse, but mine loved it. That's the thing about online bubbles. We all have them. Cheney is a hero to this country and already some of you are disappointing me with the implications and insinuations that she cost Kamala Harris this election.
I appreciate you explaining this. I know Liz Cheney talking with Harris on stage & endorsing her pissed off a lot of my people on the left, but I thought there was value in it because Harris needed a broad coalition. (My great-uncle and great-aunt lived in San Diego and their political views were very close to yours, I believe)
Thank you for pointing out that we make the mistake in the United States of lumping all Latinos together. Mexicans or Guatemalans in California have very little affinity with Puerto Ricans and Cubans in Florida for example. Different Latin populations in the US have different issues and interests, as you say. That being said, the Latino people are on the wrong side of their own history by backing Trump, and I pray they don't find out the hard way.
Dude is telling Ezra democrats lost because they are the party of the rich now and hearing Ezra Klein not being able to compute that in his brain is why they lost
Nah, its because the republicans are still the ones who pass legislature that only benefits the rich. What have they done that actually helps the poor?
Yup the party of Hollywood, of the Elitist. Average Joe doesnt want to do anything to do with them.
Both parties are controlled by the rich, but one is doing a better job at winning right now. The 10 richest people in America gained $64 billion in wealth after the election.
The main divide is cultural now between the two parties, not economic.

I love listening to Ezra Klein. While he is insightful, well researched, and intelligent, he and many of his colleagues cling to this notion that voters base their decisions on policy and logic. We now see how much emotions, aspirations, identity and just plain lack of knowledge are very influential if not more influential.

I appreciate this interesting discussion, but as a Latina who’s seen the community around me in NYC move +20% to the right since the Obama era: there’s a lot more to it than just “we don’t want to be associated with the party of the poor.”
It’s ironic that now Dems have open borders & huge handouts & temp legal status to Haitians, bc Obama deported >3 million people, more than any POTUS in history.
Well said Harry! Well said. That’s really it
"Democrats have ignored them" is such a joke.
The thing is, Dems don't want working class voters. They want social justice warriors.
Black people
care less about the N word used and more about under qualified people being giving jobs.
Ezra doesnt get it because he is part of the problem. Self reflection is not his thing.
The political parties are brands, like Coke and Pepsi.
People will argue about anything.

You have a point, but the Media is who demanded answers to these questions and brought them to the forefront.
To say nothing about the subjects in discussion - this is one of the best interviews I've heard about the election so far. Sober and informative.

Thanks for the interview!

Wow the first podcast I've heard that truly understands the assignment without getting too into their bias.
It's unfair when one party is the cause of hardship for the masses, and their pitch for control is give us your rights or we will make the economy worse.
What a delusional, victimhood interpretation

The millitary industiral complex owns both sides
The divide is between the elitists and the populists. The elitists tell the working class that the last 4 years of their lives were great. The working class disagrees.

Which one is which? Trump is a (pseudo) billionaire, whereas harris was a public prosecutor and Walz was a high school teacher.

TDS and elitism blinds Erza’s mind in this interview. He needs to understand Maslows hierarchy of needs. Food, shelter, safety, good job security.

So trump is better for economy?
Biden gave all of that to the American people. He brought unemployment down to 4 percent, and boosted wage growth. He strengthend and supported unions. He was the President for the working class. None of it mattered...
@@garad123456 no, but people THINK he is. Also people don't know the difference between an inflation rate and price increases. Biden brought inflation down better than any other global leader but people didn't believe it because prices didn't go back down. But you know what? The way a market economy deals with that is to raise wages, which we've done; if the prices go back down again it's because of a severe recession or depression.

To what degree did the percentages change by non-whites not voting, as opposed to switching to voting for Trump?
my question as well. Pretty key if you don't want polling data to lead you down the garden path.
We won’t know that for a few weeks I think

Martha's Vineyard - NO.. if Barack and Michelle were to open their mansion to the new immigrants... maybe we'd be having a more interesting conversation. But they didn't.
Is the economy growing or just adjusting to the money printing and inflation?
I'd be curious to know why Sanders, in spite of concerted, coordinated party leadership and coroporate media opposition, did so well.
he did worse than his last re-election and it's Vermont, what do you expect .
They really wasted time at the beginning, and couldn't define themselves well, or communicate with their base directly.
They thought that the way the won the 2020 election would be the same way the would win 2024. I guess they didn't read their tea leaves right? I mean Trump has now won the election twice against two women... just saying!
they chose their donors, the economic policies they could run with they would win by a landslide and have to enact, they would rather lose than have that.
you mean white women and white wanting latinos.
It wasn't really a question but more a observation.
Why is it so common for American politicians and political commentators to conflate legal and illegal immigrants?
Because that’s historically always one of the negative impacts of mass migration that cause it to be viewed as a humanitarian disaster that deserves intervention.
intervention would be to attempt to put the cartels in line. No ones talking about that.
because they have never talked to any of them
@@stu8538who should get the cartel in place?
Why do Dems run so many US senators? Governor's tend to talk about economic issues more intelligently than US senators.
I’m so tired of people creating content about politics. Everyone trying to explain shit that nobody can predict. All to sell books and get clicks.
Watching political content and being mad that it exists for those who want to watch it. So 2024.
@@animula6908 Just because you want to watch it doesn't mean it isn't shit quality. It just means you aren't able to tell the difference.
The real question is, why did so many Americans think a conman and charlatan would help them over and over again?
Over and over again, we tell you: A significant part of this vote was against the DNC media monolith. Insane Clown President Trump has his true believers, but they are not the point. The point is, What about the Democrats has become so "toxic" to so many citizens that they were willing to vote Orange or to stay home and let Orange happen?
Thank you!
Bernie woulda won.
@montrose252 the Democrat party already stopped him in 2016 and 2020. What makes you think they would let him win in 2024?
@@PhillipLipscomb Yes, that's what I mean. It's the path not taken from 2016. Today, America is now on the wrong side of history.
Yep, Bernie would have smothered Trumpism in the cradle. Now we live in the darkest timeline 😂
no he wouldnt have, he cant even get past the primary
American voters are a disgrace, and global affairs should not be at the mercy of American selfish shortsighted stupidity, true.
literally the reason I didnt even consider voting for her. WTF was that all about MORON "she ran a flawless campaign" lmao
No one wants to work in fast food or pick lettuce for lowest wage.
Yeah, it amazes me that Dems think they’re humanitarians for basically using illegal immigration as a loophole to recreate slavery in America.
Trump spending an hour in conversation with The Undertaker was a brilliant move for him. Hulk Hogan + The Undertaker should be future cabinet members!
No
It's easy to be a doomsayer.
If the predicted happens, one can say, "I told you so."
If it doesn't, then one can say, "Just you wait."
Good episode
The show posted 22 minutes ago, you commented at 11 minutes. It is an hour long episode. How do you know it's a good episode?
Hispanics are intensely tribal. Mexican Americans resent the legal and illegal immigration of Hispanics from South American nations. In Texas, they are the indigenous people along with American Indian tribes. Azteca were so competitive that they kidnapped people from neighboring tribes and offered them as human sacrifice. Some Mexicans are their descendants.
All people are intensely tribal when their basic needs are under threat. This has been illustrated abundantly in so many times and places.
Every podcast is a book commercial.
I like books. And authors do research to write books that helps qualify them to speak with authority. Hence the relationship between the words author and authority.
Allot of work but allows me to listen more, speak less, and take to heart we all basically want the same thing, a sense of belonging and being heard.
what does "person who studies mental health" mean?
Don't bet on it with education levels and algorithms that make Billions from creating bias and selling to it. Never mind A.I.
She sunk her economic trust when she threw out the tax on unrealized capital gains idea. Totally braindead
Maybe young woman still have that hope to find love and happiness and so reject abortion. What a sad place humanity has got to
It’s called the “Ellipse” . . .
Hmmm…so this is College graduates versus High School graduates and, unfortunately, the less educated have the greater numbers.
Because they control how we form our language because few are actual readers of books these days. They have already won 45 years ago. We have no choice but to abandon the two parties and create a 3rd option.
@@jeremyreagan9085 They aren't going to create a 3rd option. That rarely works in the USA because of spoiler effect, due to the fact we don't use proportional representation.
And usually more intellect. And more productivity. And they’re nicer.
Yeah, this is very long game, but it's a little jarring to hear everyone say too much education = elitism so we need to sound less educated. Okay, we can give that our best shot, I guess? (though whoever is the commander in chief should definitely be more educated than 95% of people!), but long term, how do we get more people to be educated, informed, less gullible and susceptible to obvious propaganda?
still haven't figured out what went wrong NYT
Please EZRA. Lease stop with the vocal fry. Get a voice therapist.
I just can't listen to Ezra Klein growl constantly, and drag the last syllable of nearly every clause to try to sound insightful. He sounds obnoxiously fake, pretentious, and self-involved. No wonder he's popular in this culture.
His "obnoxious" syllable use is not very important. You don't get why he is popular. You just shaming him on the base of personal preferences.
Hello all. I'm trying to submit a question for the AMA. However, upon each submission I'm told the email address doesn't exist. I enter it with proper capitalization, only Erza capitalized and no capitalization. What am I missing? Are questions no longer being accepted?
Democrats should have taken a play from the Republican Play Book. Reagan was a former movie star, Trump was a Reality TV star. Democrats should have run George Clooney. Clooney would have excelled at the role of being a charismatic candidate.
😂👍
go on you'll see a red tsunami instead of a red wave
The core issue is: when you run around making a big deal about "how saying mean things make people feel sad" you are saying you do not care about the basic material needs of people and that you are more concerned about virtue signaling than helping people make ends meet.
Why can’t both things be important? Why are these issues thought of in zero-sum terms?
@@PaperMario64 Because when you are "outraged" about one it automatically project that you are interested in "rich people" problems
Still doesn’t get it
Also how are you going to say immigration was the issue that made a difference when the Dems have been spouting tough on immigration rhetoric and tried passing the harshest immigration bill in history. That certainly is not endearing voters who do have a positive view on immigration to your party.
Here's your answer to why Harris lost, she was a bad candidate.
"Worked 15 minutes longer at McDonalds than Kamala." Lol so good.
how does that help Americans?
When political science industry uses scientific words. Lololol.
The time of fools like Ezra leading the democrat party is over, I hope democrats become something I can support.
Ezra continues and in all likelihood will remain clueless as to the sensabilities of people.
ah yes, the temporarily embarrassed millionaire class
Ezra, do you ever get tired of being wrong?
How many people watching here have less than 1000 dollars in the bank at the end of every year for the last 10years?
Educational polarization: when you speak at the 3rd grade level, you reach a LOT of people.
You are missing the Christian Nationalists!!! Why aren't we talking about that effect??
