It may be a mixed bag cheapo meter but it entertained! Battery load test..love it, so many batteries in the world, so little time! The inclusion of Shielding!.. I was lost for words!

I just saw this for sale at Advance Auto parts for 30 bucks. The only feature I like is the battery tester.
Niche feature for sure..a really unique way to test those batteries.
For 30 buckeroos it's a lot better than many meters in that price range.

Hi Darren, well that was disappointing, there are better meters for the money, for instance, the ANENG AN8009 cost less here than the Innova, I know which i would choose, I would like to see some of the cheaper Amazon brand DMM's go under the spot light. Thanks for another great review.

It's a good meter. I used it alot until it broke. I'd buy it again but was shopping for something different for a change.
Kind of dodgy looking in the inside. The crystal and shunt looked like it was installed by a blind drunk. Nice review man! 👍👏🏻

In your opinion would this be good for diagnosing, and troubleshooting electrical issues with ATV’S, or Motorcycles ?
Definitely, 100% ...it has the features needed for basic automotive/motorcycle work so you're good to go.

I bought this model in 2018 for $20 new. Its $30 now. I use it all the time. Its accurate, easy to use and for the money its a great buy. Only changed batteries one time. Its a great item!

Have you had a look at the Innova 3340a? It's expensive so I'm not sure I want to buy it just to try it ($100+ at stores!) But I would be interested to know how well it works. The tach, duty%, dwell, and frequency counter intrigue me. Cool feature set but is it worth it?

Your final resistance test was actually correct at 300K when you thought you had it set for 200K. While you probably did more testing than shown in the video, it appeared that the probes might have been having contact issues in some of the shown tests. You experienced it first hand, though, so it might truly be as bad as indicated.
It's too bad that stores that carry this only care about the cost/markup ratio as they obviously have no requirements whatsoever for stocking a high-value budget meter. They must be getting these things for almost nothing.
I don't necessarily agree that build quality is good as the PCB seems pretty unprofessional for a 2022 Chinese meter. So many hand-soldered parts, some of which don't even fit, simply incur too much labor and quality costs when other cheap meters are better designed for scale production. That bodged oscillator alone indicates poor engineering.

Build quality was referring to the external chassis not the internal pcb which was indeed rather "funky". Quality of the plastic housing was top notch and definitely warranted a better performing multimeter.
Unfortunately most stores whether brick and mortar or online rarely care about quality or usability. It's busine$$ and bottom line before performance , unfortunately 😕
At least it is (surprisingly) UL-certified... - But that is just the only positive point about this crap multimeter. The lack of a proper fused ampere- range made it unusable for inhouse electrics and car- electrics, the failing LED test abilities excludes a use from hobbyists and the awful resistance and continuity test made it simply overall totally useless. In my opinion is your 3 stars rating far to good for this heap of sh.. in a nice looking case.
100% in agreement...1 star was for the shielding, but let's face it this definitely is a dud. 😳👍

These are not cheap (3320, Innova) they're freaking $40 dollars apiece. And they're junk. I bought two in a row, they both worked once testing batteries and then refused to zero out again, instead they just randomly scroll numbers(?) and do anything but show the green light again. SAME BATTERY!
What a disappointment. I liked the unusually clear labels and indicator lights, usually they love to put heiroglyphic symbols all over these and complicate them up as much as possible. They just don't work, so whats the use right.
Back to the store again.
appreciate the shielding but too bad it is put on a meter with a "meh" performance. 😅
