Hi Daren. Very interesting multimeter. Looks like my LOMVUM 616. It has a magnet, has an EEPROM, and most likely it is made on an old 0660L processor, since it has a quartz at 4000. It seems to me that he will not take 20A to measure, although it is clear that the firmware can show this number. In fact, the cheapest RM102 and its clones could also show 20A if they put a 20A fuse on them and flash through the EEPROM. But it does not have a current-measuring shunt, which is strange ... The voltage drop should be high and you can burn the multimeter in theory (but this is not accurate) Good monochrome screen, no problems with viewing angles. But the base is the same RM113D with minor changes. The price is 27 Euro. For your countries, this is not much. I want to advise you to check the multimeter. (Since you still haven't taken LOMVUM for a test, you probably have some magical difficulties with it ;) ) Then take one of the coolest multimeters for your money for a test. This is ZOYI ZT-225. I promise you, as in the case of LOMVUM 616 - this multimeter (for almost the same money as VENLAB VM-600) for 27+ - EURO is simply the best among Chinese multimeters. This is just a wonderful multimeter for professionals. If you can, then order ZOYI ZT-225)) You will be pleasantly surprised. Your opinion will be interesting.

Aneng SZ20 is an analogue of ZOYI 225, you can tell about it in the video so that people understand. It just seems to me that ZOYI is cheaper at the same time. I don’t know how it is for Canada, but for Europe it’s definitely cheaper, because ZOYI is usually less promoted than ANENG, which is why the price is lower.
Wow, excellent meter. I actually bought the cheaper Venlab model you featured a while back. I can never get enough 830 clones. This is going into the rotation too. I don't think it will supplant the Kaiweets for me, but I like the color, and it's cheap so might as well get it.
It's a great multimeter all around..gets the job done in style. I really like it's big footprint too. Definitely a keeper ! Hey, I love those 830 clones too! Classics.
Hope prices won't go up after this video. Quite nice actually, but doubt the test leads can actually do 20A. Extra low current fuses because you might plug your lead on the wrong jack with the two current inputs. But with the auto power off, how long before it shuts off - and does it beep a ton at you?
Hi Rui, 15 min for the Automatic Shutoff. You can disable this by holding down on the Function button when you tune the meter on. It does beep prior to shutdown but nothing to annoying 😃
@@KeepOnTesting Oh good. This Aneng I got goes off the same 15 minutes, beeps like a microwave oven but it can't be disabled. Or it's time for a standalone voltmeter-ammeter!
I gave my kaiweets away to my buddy after getting this venlab. It's incredibly accurate, especially with capacitance and resistance which really surprised me it performed better than my kaiweets. You can't go wrong either way, but something about this chunkster with it's bells and whistles endeared me to it. Maybe it's the retro 70s scifi VENLAB logo up top 😂 Also, mine has backlight and flashlight as separate functions.

Well ill be - - - - - ---- its in the cheapo realm but lots of GOOD VALUE in functionality here-! its one thing to have the ranges its quite another for them to work as well as theyre supposed to. Doesnt have the dual display, 20,000ct. display or bar graph like the 118E but doesnt cost as much either, in fact you cant ask for much more than this in the lower cheapo price range. Been a long time since ive seen a meter perform this well below $30-!!
You got that right Mke ! In all honesty it's one of the best deals currently out there. As you mentioned, fair bit cheaper than the 118E too! Really glad this multimeter shined. Goes to show you that a CHEAP-O can still turn heads😏

Got one today. Couple of points that I’m not so sure of mine shows (flicker’s between voltage ) voltage when leads are connected or not connected and no voltage is applied? Short the leads goes down to 0.001 take them apart goes back to anywhere between 0.020 and 0.001 just flicks random. Can’t get it to zero at all. Is this an issue? Don’t know not tested it against a known voltage as of yet. Second point it defaults to DC unable to get it to default to AC I know it’s just a press of a button but why won’t it just stay there? As soon as you come out of the feature to something else (without switching it off) it just goes back to DC slightly annoying (yes I know I’m picking at things!) other then that so far everything is good NVC works a treat nice speedy pick up of the leads when touched together etc. overall happy and especially at the price hard to beat.
Great catch Shaun..yes it is. Though the plastics look/feel more refined on the VENLAB. I also reviewed the LOMVUM T28C awhile back and it did fairly well but definitely prefer this rendition! 👍

@@KeepOnTesting Aneng M118 had a simple piece of a resistor pin. Installing a metal strip (e. g. for welding lithium batteries) makes sensitivity way better.

I hope you'll be working on industrial mains otherwise you just forked out 300$ more than you needed. Most CHEAP-O Multimeters are perfectly suited for residential/hobby use.This is a very good multimeter.

Difference between the 600A and the 600M? Other than the temperature/infrared
600A = AUTORANGING 600M = MANUAL RANGING
