Oh thank gods, I was currently going through recommendations, looking for something to listen to while falling asleep, since I had listened to everything by the channels I am subscribed to, and had just given up and decided to just listen to something by Horrorbabble again, instead, to find you uploaded this 20 seconds ago! Thank you and good night. ^^
I got some Silent Hill vibes in parts of this story - a man venturing out into a strange foggy locale in the mountains in search of his missing family member with barely any ammunition.
GREAT story- fast paced, and containing one of my favourite plot devices ( where outwardly helpful townsfolk turn out to be evil, conniving occultists :)
10:08PM: It's cold and rainy here in the mountains, the pass has been washed out and the castle is now completely isolated. 01:13AM: Subject appears to have been lying in bed and had fallen asleep listening to something called 'HorrorBabble' just prior to volunteering. 03:31AM The experiment was only a partial success, by the time subject was strapped to the table it was too late, their mind was already locked in a cacophony of cosmic horrors and was irrevocably lost, aside from some unearthly shrieks all humanity and reason were gone. 03:32AM: I will need a new subject. If only Warren was still alive.
Fun fact: in spite of being perhaps the most commonly known set of whitch trials, Salem killed about 25 people. None of which died by fire. The average European witch trial killed hundreds by burning, English, French, and German, all killed more people by fire on lesser charges.
I know you can't do everyone's infinite recommendations but as a personal read you should give The Reddening by Adam Nevill a read. This one reminded me of that one quite a bit.
Meh, this is every urban groom - rural bride relationship ever. That's how Warren died in the end, he went to visit his father-in-law and never came back.
This was such a good story.

Wow, this has got to be one of the best stories (and renditions) on this channel
👍👍👍👍👍
Out we go...
I would love more witch stories
Great story and narration!
This one is really neat.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your beautiful narration of this great story! I used to read a lot of Phyllis Whitney back in the 1970s.
I agree, read a lot of her romantic suspense juveniles during the seventies. Good to be exposed to something from her salad days.
Thanks for bringing these lesser known authors and stories from the pulp era. this was great.
Thanks for another wonderful performance! I'd never read this one before so it was an unexpected treat.🔥👻🙌
This is Great 👍 just got home and getting ready for bed 🛏️ but first, A good tale told.. Thank You, Ian and Jen!

A great reminder the silver is a panecea for many forms of supernatural shenanigans. Wonderful! 👍
Thank you ❤

I thought this was going to be about werewolves.
Same! I got baited by the silver bullet! 😅

Bob Seager was not available for comment.
Nor was Stephen King, nor the late Corey Haim
@@Frenchblue8you beat me to it
The Lone Ranger ?
Nice art for this one. I don’t want to believe this is AI.
Ha! Same.
🤫
It's all AI until proven otherwise. Heck we could feed the Weird Tales archive into AI and get infinity new tales.
A story about Coors Light... It's about time.
Hell yeah.

Very good...but sad
I really need some Van Melsen in my life
Sounds like a big influence for RHPS
Silent Hill
That was damn lucky.

Is…is the mc’s name, Gordon Ramsey?!
I hope Warren is ok.
You fool! Warren is dead…
He's dead Jim!
Hey Ian have you seen the movie Bone Tomahawk?
