You should apply for a RUclips partnership so you could monetize the videos and buy more watches for review. Also if you put your palm in front of the camera next to the watch it can't focus on, it'll help.

Orient seems to have really listened to feedback and made the improvements that were often asked for. Hacking and hand winding movement, Sapphire glass etc. One of the few watch makers that actually responds to the public. Kudos to them.

I know I'm late to the party but I just made the jump to ColaReb for a vintage Omega I picked up earlier today. I'm a college student and this is my first vintage watch. I wanted to do it right and figure my way through it all to stand out from the admittedly few other students who are into watches. Cheers on the recommendation, this isn't the first time I've seen this video in the three years it has been up.

TGV, I had to tell you that you've reignited my love for horology and quality timepieces. For years I fell out of touch with the watch industry and just came back. My first new piece was a Hamilton Khaki Field Auto (LOVE that watch) and I recently picked up a mint condition 2008 Omega Seamaster Professional 300 Coaxial in black. Thank you for the fantastic videos and sharing this love for watches with us all.

I know I am late to the party here, however your recommendation of the Colareb straps is spot on. I am relatively new to the watch world videos and really enjoy them. I just bought my second Colareb brown leather strap and the quality for the money is tremendous. They are outstanding. I believe they use top leather, not split which is a difference of night and day. I bought the Siena brown in both 20 and 22mm. They are fantastic. The quality is unmatched and should be selling for twice the price. The leather smells amazing. I will be wearing these straps for years to come. I use them on my divers.Thanks for the recommendation!

Oh, that blonde strap... Colareb gets such amazing colors on leather. The camera works fine even with that harsh sunlight coming from the window and sound is as good as can be.
I IMMEDIATELY noticed the new camera TGV. What an excellent upgrade! Now all of us will be able to tell what those mystery watches are even more clearly ;)

I think it would be nice to see you go through all your Colareb straps and see how you paired them with various watches. I wanted to buy some Colarebs but the choices are plenty and a bit hard to decide on (since there aren't photos of the straps on watches on their site). The best way I found so far is to decide on a color, and then after selecting a color, all the straps with that color would appear, in that page that returns the filtered results, you can kind of compare and see the difference between the straps. E.g. finishing, distressed/non-distressed, thickness, textures etc. Right now I decided I would trawl through your videos to find out what your Colareb on watches pairings are
"Yeah, another diver for my collection... But I don't care" LOL I think I can understand what you mean...

After 30+years, my father's jubilee on his Datejust must be retired. I think Coloreb will be where I start looking for a replacement leather band for him. The Orient looks amazing also. Best-David

Excellent production quality. Kudos on that new camera. One thing I noticed is that only the right side of you is brightly illuminated. Maybe you should consider keeping studio lights in the other direction.

Hi TGV, I was looking at my Colareb strap this morning 8+ years later and you were right. It has aged beautifully. I've never taken it off my Combat Sub as it is now part of the watch and I would never change it. A testament to this wonderful strap brand. Best regards, John
Just ordered a Venezia in tobacco 20mm, thanks to you. -Your enthusiasm was just too contagious :) Video quality is noticeably better, but I did find the lighting a bit on the bright side. - Kind'a made the side of your enthusiastic smiling face shine :) Great video TGV, love how you occasionally do strap reviews as well, as I am a bit of a nutter when it comes to changing straps on my watches almost daily...

I know many people who review things from tech news to simple things like watches actually make a difference. Call me old fashioned, but I still love the genuine watches. Oh damn am I not talking about the smart watches what is wrong with me. Been dealing with big companies and the entertainment industry I am not allowed to use smart watches. because people still make a decisions on how a person look. I always come back to your channel. Last question. I know you enjoy the Lacoste brand. I was never big in it, because like yourself I was born and raised in Europe (Poland here to be exact). For me I am very well expensive person when it comes to cloths. I cannot wear polyester items, because in a 115 plus weather, well people do not even want come close. So I always look for silk only shirts and pants.

Great video Tristano! Love the new stuff, especially the camera! I'm a little embarrassed to admit, I had to stop the video while you were showing the Colarebs up close to go on their website and order myself a Venezia mud band ^_^'.
Another thing I thought I'd mention what I really enjoy about you and your channel, the small little details you refuse to cut out of your video, like the bit where you're talking about the feedback and clapping to the camera to check the meter. All other youtubers or vloggers would test that off camera or cut it out as they think a perfect video doesn't have that stuff. I have to admit, it's one of the things I enjoy most about your personality and your videos. It feels much more "close up" and personal, small detail but has a great effect!
Anyway, sorry for rambling! Keep it up and I can't wait till the next video!

The new camera seems to have great resolution but there is some over exposure in playback. Try adjusting your camera's exposure control or use diffusion (white gauze) to soften the light. Other than that, I think it's a great addition to the channel.
Also, love the branding on your Opinel! I'd to hear about where that was done.
New camera looks and sounds great TGV! if you are bringing watches up to the camera and they wont focus just hold your hand up flat behind it and it should come into focus!

The Orient; especially for the price you quoted, is a very good looking piece. I'm eager too see your review. Unfortunately, here in Canada, things are more expensive. This model however, sounds very reasonably priced.

Great step up with the new camera and mic but I have a suggestion, if it is technically possible with the new cam, try to get the focus to you and blur the background out a little, this would be a really step up of your videos!

Hey TGV, Big improvement in picture and sound quality, especially the picture. Love the Colareb travel case. Went to the Sorrento area in 2014 on holiday and my wife had a pair of leather sandals made to measure. The guy did them right in front of us while we waited - such a craftsman. Can imagine a similar process with Colareb. The Orient is very tempting. I've been after a stealthy diver and was waiting for the CW C60 Titanium version 1 to go on sale but the Ray Raven 2 may tempt me. Kind regards, Chris

Hi TG. I totally agree with you on the colareb straps. Ever since i saw your first video on the colareb straps you did, I've purchased about 12 of them for all the timepieces in my collection in various colours and model's and I've got another 5 on the way all from Holbens. I also personally think they are probably the finest straps that you can find. Have you heard of gunny straps ? If not just google him and check out his site. He makes some pretty amazing straps mostly for Panerai.
How have they held up after two years? I just got one and am worried it's going to stretch

Those leather straps are so cool I just spent some money on a new mesh strap but I might have to get one of those leathers too for my Speedmaster.
I don't think the lighting's quite right, it seems a little too bright to me but the new camera's quality though. The biggest improvement for me however was when you changed over from 50 to 60fps, the picture quality was superb.

Camera quality has always been pretty good, but I definitely notice a difference in sound quality vs the older videos. shotgun mic? A video on your camera/lighting/mic/editing set-up would be cool to see, especially for other RUclipsrs (and potential RUclipsrs

Wow! I never felt the old camera was lacking in quality...but I watched this video first, then the Grand Seiko review video immediately afterward. The difference in image quality was actually quite jarring. The new camera is MUCH nicer! Hope you can get that macro-focus thing figured out.

Great quality mate! I would definitely recommend vintage JLC, excellent quality for the price and you can find some great ones. One thing though, many take 16mm straps so keep that in mind. 18mm is nice, but I find 16mm a bit slim.
