Have the same ColaReb in a light brown. The more i wear it the better it gets. I love the way that it gets scuffed and the oils get into it from taking it on and off. Gives it character! Thanks for turning me onto it!
    Best wishes,
    Miles

    TGV,
Thanks for encouraging us to explore and expand our watch collecting experiences by trying different straps and bracelets. I have tried some 22mm NATO straps with my diver collection and it can really open your eye to what's on the wrist. I have also swapped out some simple bracelets and replaced them with Hadley Roma or StrapCode bracelets to change the personality of the watch. Thanks again and keep up the good work .

I just received a strap on Friday. Don't know how new it is, but it's a dark brown leather Hirsch Mariner. Put it on my SKX009 and it's so smooth and high quality. Didn't think I would like the brown on such a colorful watch, but there is some blue stitching on the back of the strap. Love the strap choices TGV!

I recently purchased the Hadley Roma mesh strap for my Chr Ward trident c60. It's a nice strap overall but I was a little disappointed to see that it was made in China. I did not expect this from a company that prides itself so much in manufacturing straps in the US. I guess this only applies to their leather straps. I do like the mesh strap but it's very roughly finished at the tail end.

My favorite is the ColaReb on your Navitimer. It's the perfect color. I've purchased the Bonetto Cinturini 270 (flat matte and minimalistic) and I just love the brand and their vanilla cent.

You're spot on. General Schwarzkopf wore a Seiko SKX009 on his right wrist and a Rolex Day/Date on his left wrist all through his Middle East adventures. If I remember right, one was set to local time and the other to EST. he could have used a good GMT back then. Good eye! Love the strap video. I have several Colarebs now thanks to your endorsements. I like this Squale olive drab (which is now out of stock). It's a little spendy for a nato but I'm just picky enough where I think it'll be a great strap for my Squale. Thank you for the excellent video! Glad to see you're on the mend and have the time to keep pumping these videos out!

Great video! I would recommend Strapcode. I think they also make Miltat straps and natos. I have quite a few and they are all great quality. I purchased all of mine from Amazon. You can search for strapcode and miltat. I've also bought a couple clasps directly from the Strapcode website. The bracelets come with screwed links that are nice and thin and easy to adjust. Nice weight and comfortable. I have two for made exclusively for the SKX with solid enlinks.

Just ordered the ColaReb Venezia grey strap for my Glycine Airman DC4. (From Holbens on ebay) Hope it looks good! Already own the Spoleto swamp brown so i'm not worried about the quality. (On my Eterna Airforce) Really nice straps and it does feel like luxury. Again, thank you TGV for letting the secret out! Bonne soirée ! (Oh, and happy New Year!)

    Fantastic video TGV!
You know what's funny? As you said, Bonetto Cinturini is an Italian company. Based in Italy and every rubber strap is made here, in Italy. Everybody knows their quality, but... it's pretty much impossible to find a damn Bonetto strap in Italy. Why? I don't know. It just doesn't exist a store, not even an online one, where you can buy them.
By the way, I just purchased a steel mesh bracelet for my blue Mako, it's a pretty good one because you can actually remove little links of mesh like you do in a normal steel bracelet, so you can find a very confortable fit. It has 5 micro adjustment positions and a very solid fold over clasp.
Thanks for this video, very informative and interesting!
    Best regards,
    Michele.

+The Urban Gentry Well, just some thoughts here: I live in Washington, and we grow excellent apples here, perhaps some of the best. I'm not sure I've ever had some of those apples in all my years because every single one of them is shipped off to some other state. Sometimes when you're closest to quality is when you miss out on it the most.
Just a thought, excellent video TVG and hope you're feeling well.
      ~Jonathan

You are right on about Holben's bands being an absolute bargain, the Breitling looks great on the distressed grey band. On the snakeskin bands... You should oil them often to keep them viable and flexible. I use saddle soap.

Its an interesting poll. It shows that most people are comfortable spending in that price bracket. There are so many quality pieces in that range, real value to be had.I have made a purchase myself a quality chronograph just over a thousand pounds. It's from a niche brand that has heritage and history. Once I get it I'll email you with pics. I believe they represent real high quality, robust chronographs for great prices.

It's from a German maker closely linked with Sinn. There called Guinand, originally a Swiss maker specialising in complicated chronographs, three register and two register with moon phase. They were bought by Helmut Sinn in the nineties. And have reemerged very recently. They are very similar to Sinn almost a sister company. Manufacturing everything from the cases, dials, glass in Germany. The movements are Swiss valjoux top grade nicely decorated. Dealings with there customer service dept has been excellent.
I should get my watch by next week. It's in the final stages of assembly and will be rigorously tested and checked. As I say they are a very niche watchmaker and only produce small quantities. I've been very impressed. You should check them out mate.

The Squale's nato is nice, though the holes are quite bit, and it looks like it'll deform. The leather nato is nice, but those rounded keeps are way too bulky, the square ones are far nicer. The rubber strap's nice, though the design is taken from Isoprene. The grey Cola Reb is dull and really doesn't work with the Breitling (a brown one would be much nicer IMO). The pythons ok, but the two pieces don't even match! The mesh is alright if you like that. Just my 2 cents.

  • @adrianapostolov5385

Fantastic straps! The mesh bracelet and the Squale NATO are my favourites. The Python strap is also terrific, but for me it is too flashy. I expected to see the Sinn with Zulu strap. Firstly I wanted to say that this is one of my favourite episodes so far this year, lovely to see the masters supper at Emmaus in the background at the start and I was delighted to find out that I've been doing a Norman all this time without knowing it. Some beautiful straps, love the Colareb in particular, do they use full grain Italian leather exclusively or do they also stray into shell cordovan etc territory as well? I've become a NATO nut because of the channel and I'm sure I'm not alone so particularly like the look of the Squale strap. Mind you I've also become a lover of Opinel so thanks for that TVG. I love the Italian baroque soundtracks to the vid's but being a fellow Wagnerian was wondering if we might get a little more Lohengrin, Parsifal, Tristan or Die Walkure now and then? I could imagine Wotan being a big fan of a dive watch on a NATO strap on one wrist and a leather strapped Datejust or Daydate on the other ;-) so how about something like Leb' wohl, du kühnes, herrliches Kind from
the final act of Die Walküre!? ruclips.net/video/uKgYLDDkIek/видео.html. Keep up the great work :-)

I would like to know what the feeling is for titanium watches/bracelets. Are they more delicate than stainless steel? I have a Bocca titanium that appears to be picking up more marks than I would expect. I prefer the look of titanium but am wary about spending a lot for a premium titanium brand.

Hi TGV I wanted to know your opinion. Their was a a picture of a diamond watch that cost $18 000 000 on the group .Now most of the people where up in arms about how bad it looks and so on but surely there is a bigger picture. Every one of those diamonds was hand cut and the watch was made for the diamonds its not a diamond encrusted watch. • @theurbangentry

+Luc Albert Great question, I think the Marathon rubber one pieces are the best in that category, but this little Bonetto, has really one me over, very different straps in design at the end of the day. The Marathon I think are certainly better quality, but the Bonnetto is more fun. Thank you,

$200 - $500 is what I buy because I'm a college student, but the more expensive pieces that are just out of my range, the $1 - $2k watches interest me a lot because they're out of my reach but hopefully won't be forever. Similar to how I drool with envy every time a Lamborghini passes me on the road. It's out of reach but HOPEFULLY won't be forever.
