Your really not getting the point that this LUXURY SUV is running just as fast as your SPORT SUV. That's the whole point of this truck is the sleeper factor. Also your TBSS is 4600 pounds compared to the Denali's curb weight of 6000+. Just enjoy the video that a truck that heavy can run with today's cars and stop hating on my video's.

Thank you. This is what I'd expect from this kind of setup, as I mentioned earlier. But even you have to admit, this run isn't a real testament to that Yukon's build. 98mph vs 106 traps, 13.4 vs 12.4... Big differences. Good run on the 12.4 @ 106... I'm guessing you were still working the tune out on this run?

@BuzzLOLOL The camaro did spin, but if you look at the end of the video the Denali made it to the end of the track first, hence the win light on the top of the right tower

@comatone1982 None, the motor has not even been touched besides adding the procharger, stock heads, stock bottom end, stock cam, stock intake manifold etc..

You could sit there for a whole minute, your time doesn't start until you take off. From when the camaro took off to when it crossed the finish line was faster than the denali's start to finish time. It was just later that's all.

I drive a 2000 Yukon xl 1500, the stopping isn't bad. I think the brake pedals are just mushy

I'm not expecting anything ridiculous, but I would expect at LEAST high 12s @ above 100mph traps for sure for the mod list given there. Stalled, built transmission, Procharged, headers, exhaust, etc. It'll def. surprise alot of people off the line, but that 98mph trap is weaker then expected. Again, my opinion. Either way, a wins a win for the Denali.

Azael Anguiano thanks man. I’m pretty sure they are metal cause they are very heavy. I don’t know exactly how much they weigh but switching from these to the factory 17s makes the truck significantly faster

Im pretty sure this is bracket racing, where the slower vehicle takes off first and the faster car has to catch up. If your car qualifies at 14sec and I qualify at 13.5sec then you next run you get a .5sec head start. You aren't allowed to run faster than your qualifying time but if you run too slow you'll probably lose. Its all about being consistent...

I got your movie quote. Camaro didn't lose because of lack of traction. Even with his loss of traction, he cut a better ET. He lost because he sat at the light, and the WIN light matters by who crosses first, regardless of ET. Camaro sat at the light for half a second after the Denali cut the light. Like I said, I'm not taking away from Denali's win. Track experience and better RT took the W light. Are you expecting someone to be impressed with 13s though, and sub 100 traps?

The reaction time on the camaro was trash and the denali did make it to the end first, but as to which is faster, the camaro would definitely be faster. 116mph trap vs 98mph trap is a huge difference, especially from a roll. ET was better on the camaro too, regardless of his garbage reaction, because he broke the beam late, and reaction time doesn't go into ET. I'd bet his 60 was bad too. Its hard to launch high hp on street tires.

turn off traction control and stability control on camaro, it makes a huge diffrence, you can tell the traction control kicked in which caused poor launch @Justin87GN
Camaro lost it and spun bad or bogged off the line... Camaro's trap speed goes with a low 12's car (high 11's with stickies car), not a mid 13's car... but the Camaro got it back together and caught back up and still won the race with a 13.34 vs Denali's 13.57 sec. time...
why is it stalled with no cam?
SlimSlugga713 you don't have to have a cam to have a higher stall torque converter. Check out my newer videos. Truck now has heads and a cam and we are shooting for high 11s

SlimSlugga713 the stock one lasted about 500 miles, the second one was fully built and lasted about 20k miles, and this is the third one. The next will be a 4L80 swap

But yes the denali won because his reaction time was half a second quicker yet only lost by 2 tenths. So in reality it took the denali 13.797 seconds to get to the traps once the light turned green. Yet the Camaro took 14.113 seconds. I've one races this way too, beat a mustang by a couple tenths on RT, yet he ran .04 seconds quicker than me. Actually I have the race on here lol

Do YOU realize its the same truck? If it cut a 12.5 @ 106 being the SAME TRUCK, then obviously it had more in it then 13.4 at sub 100 trap, didn't it? So you could agree that the 12.5 is impressive, and the 13.4 damn near a second on the table, correct? 106 trap is much better then 98 trap as well. Sure thing buddy, I'll be the ricer in the CTS-V. Apparently, I'm the only one that got the "joke", BUT, since I'm trying to be a "dick", let's keep it going. The guy who posted this vid, OWNS the 6600lb brick on wheels that just beat the camaro. He won. Simple. Make excuses for the camaro. It's ok (hence the movie reference) I did see the trap difference. Doesn't matter. He won. Camaro is faster. Doesn't matter. He won. The camaro lost because of lack of traction, not reaction time. What matters here is a 6600lb brick doing mid 13's. Good job!
@jdubb408 hahahahahah no sir not the case i could buy a ss camro..but why i could buy a 2002 corvette Z06 for 5-8 grand less and walk alll over the new camaro..my car weighs 3,280lbs..it makes 250 hp not great but it works for me...i can pull .89G around a corner anytime i want to ..my car was buikt in 1985 for god sake the new camro and even track pac mustangs have a hard time pulling that number..i could spend 8k on my car and eat the new ss pig anytime
