This was Tim's dream to sing in collab with the Oaks! His smile throughout says it all. BTW, the Oaks asked Adam Rupp to join their group after this. Lol
The Oak Ridge Boys are like mentors for Home Free. Their tenor (I’ve forgotten his name) said that they were essentially passing the baton to Home Free. They have done another song together-a Christmas song. Austin took his autographed shirt and framed it. In his earlier solo videos you can see it hanging on the wall in the background. I appreciate that this video was actually “featuring” the Oak Ridge Boys unlike others where the original artist just uses the guys as backups. Thanks for another great one!
Yes!!!! "Beautiful star of Bethlehem" is INCREDIBLE!!! 🥰🥰
The Tenor's name is Joe Bonsall
The Oak Ridge Boys' bass , Richard Sterban , used to sing back-up for Elvis before he joined the group ... the Oaks have always been my "real" old school country sound !
Great reaction!! The Oak Ridge Boys are mentors to Home Free. They sang another song together with Jeffery East Beautiful Star Of Bethlehem.
Here’s a list of the Oak Ridge Boys
Duane Allen (lead singer) sitting next Rob
Joe Bonsall ( Tenor) next to Austin
William Lee Golden (Baritone) White long beard
Richard Sterban (Bass) Sang as bass for Elvis for 2 yrs 1971/1972
You did Tim and Austin solo work and I think you did Adam Rupp “Drum” Solo
So here’s Adam Chance
If I Could Only Fly
Driver’s License
Song For Home
Collaborations with The Hound & Fox
Wayfaring Stranger ( His Channel)
Whistling Lad (Their channel)
This is a great collaboration between Home Free & The Oak Ridge Boys. "Elvira" was a huge hit for The Oakridge Boys in 1981. You can see the great respect these 2 groups have for each other. The Oakridge Boys are mentors to Home Free & it is like they are passing the baton to a younger version of themselves. They have performed together on the Grand Ole Opry. Adam Rupp's vocal percussion is the best in the business. He can simulate drums & any other sounds perfectly. Home Free is my favorite a cappella group. They are so talented yet very humble guys.
this was such a sweet cover, i have to give it to the oaks though when they recently did a studio cover of elvira. so glad that the boys still got it :)
What great voices! Even at their ages the old boys have got some real talent going on 🤙🇬🇧
Hey guys, love your reactions. If you finish listening to the rest of the video Tim sends out a thanks to Geoff Castellucci for the arrangement of this song. Kinda cool! Have a great day!
Love This One, All Great Voices. And Adam Rupp Amazing as Always
A favorite 😍 😍😍
Love your reactions to Home Free and the individuals❤
To really blow your mind check out 2 country singers try singing opera by Rob and Austin.
VoicePlay used to do this when they were on tour. Love this new arrangement by Tim Foust, Geoff Castellucii, and VoicePlay.
Home Free has a terrific collaboration with the Oak Ridge Boys on "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem". It was filmed live as part of a Christmas show. In the same show - also filmed live - is a collaboration with Alabama on "Christmas in Dixie". They've also sung with Kenny Rogers, Charlie Daniels, Peter Hollens, Don McLean and Lee Greenwood. They're always respectful of of the other artist(s) and give them the lime light.
Oak Ridge Boys, definitely one of my favs! Alabama, (R.I.P. Jeff Cook, fantastic musician) Kenny Rodgers, (also, R.I.P) any collaboration they've done with these great OG artist are phenomenal!!! Anything, from these artist, singularly, phenomenal. Yeah, I'm ranting, and raving, so thanks for this! Love y'all too much! Peace out so I can shut my mouth 🤐
This really gives me the sense of "Home Free Past" meeting "Oak Ridge Boys future".
The ORB's bass, Richard Sterban, sang bass for Elvis Presley early in his career. Home Free definitely collaborated with true country legends on this song--and I LOVE this collaboration❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
Homefree has ENORMOUS respect for the Oaks!
Favorite country group: Oak Ridge Boys. They're the reason I found Home Free. 🤩
What I love about acapella groups like Home Free, Pentatonix and Voice Play is that there is no competition between the groups. They frequently collaborate with each other. In fact, Geoff Castellucci, bass singer for Voice Play, collaborated with Home Free behind the scenes doing the music arrangement for this video! :)
Chance has his own solo music song for home is a original and anything with the hound and fox and Chance is good.
That guy with the serious beard, I was waiting for his beard to curl up when the bass went so low lol
Duane Allen from The Oak Ridge Boys saw them sing a song on a news channel in the city they were doing a show in on tour and Home Free got called by The Oaks and they did this thing together. Since then they've sung this together both groups on the Grand Ole Opry stage and they've done a concert together even. In a Home Free series of videos called "Home Away From Home" (they've done about 23 videos thus far that are public) about their tour life on the road, they show some behind scenes with the Oak Ridge Boys in a couple of them as well. You can see their goofy personalities as well. The rabbit hole is deep with many branches.
The Oaks come to my town every year and always pack the house. They always put on a great show. I go every time they are in town. Keep hoping they will bring Home Free with them.
It’s hard not to love watching a group that’s obviously having so much fun.
Another great colab with a legend is with Kenny Rogers singing "Children Go Where I Send Thee"....amazing and a great story at the end
Hi Spencer & Daniel. I enjoy the whole range of reactions you do, but especially Home Free!
The Oak Ridge Boys are now mentors to Home Free. They have done other collaboration with Lee Greenwood, Kenny Rogers. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song. Also Alabama was on there Christmas Special and the sang Christmas in Dixie. Enjoyed watching your reactions to this song.
Great reaction! Home Free has sung with legends and now they are the legends lending their time and talents to younger artists! If you haven't seen "Hooked on a Feeling" by The Bass Gang featuring Tim Foust, GO NOW! Those boys are fast joining the a cappella universe as a part of the new Top Four! And Tim ... well, who else would those basses want to sing their tenor part?
This went directly to my playlist the first time I heard it, love this rendition the best. Always liked Elvira from the time it originally came out, but this brought it to another level in my opinion. Great reaction guys, take care!! 🍟❤️
Hahaha yeah Tim was just being polite to Richard Sterban until the end. You should try to see a live version of this in concert. Tim loves to have fun with the audience and go real low - lots of fun. Just a fun rendition!! They do a Christmas song with them too. They also sing with Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Lee Greenwood and Don McLean. If you want to hear Elvira live look up St. Andrews Scotland from Kim Ball (2016). It’s a great concert to hear them live and it’s really a good quality film and sound. I’m not a huge country fan but I love Home Free. I would say I like some of Lee Greenwood’s songs. 🥰😍
Just an FYI....it was Don Maclean who approached HF about doing American Pie.
Their collabs are always AMAZING....hzvd you gentlemen reacted to their very recent collab with Brooke Eden on a cover of the classic Delta Dawn....the EPIC ending alone is worth a listen....it's awesome
You can't wrong with these two groups. Love all these guys. If you haven't CK out Delta Dawn featuring Brooke Eden.
A good song to try next would be cover me up by Home Free. It features Adam Chance as the lead and it is a beautiful cover and a great opportunity to hear Chance belt out a nice ballad.
Great reaction!
Such a fun reaction, yall are a hoot. I hope you will watch Home Free and the Oak Ridge Boys singing Beautiful Star Of Bethlehem and Home Free with Kenny Rogers singing Children, Go Where I Send Thee..
Austin looks about 12 in this video 😂
That is why he grew a beard. He was a baby-face.
Don Williams !!! Marty Robbins !!! Johnny Cash and the Statler brothers !!!!! I Love the Story tellers !
Would love to see you react to their collaboration with Kenny Rogers on "Children, Go Where I Send Thee," a great gospel number.
This was so very awesome! They must have had so much fun doing this. You could see the comradery between the two groups. Love your reactions!
My country favorites are from the old days. Marty Robins, Chet Atkins. Then comming closer to now are Garth Brooks and Alison Kraus w/ Union Station 🎉
Have you two reacted to their Stargazer Trilogy? They just released Chapter 2 yesterday! Freaking Awesomeness!!! ❤
This is fire. Wow
I loved the Oak Ridge Boys back in the day. But, oh wow, to hear them together? OMG. If you want a one off, check out Adam Chances Far from any Road. Adam Rupp does the sounds and he plays the bass guitar. Interesting stuff!
Love your outro! So catchy - thanks guys! 🙂🍟
I miss reacting to your Home Free videos, guys! I hope you can react to their FOLSOM PRISON and HONEY I'm GOOD.
Great rxn
How they sang Hey at the start made me think of a different song
DID YOU REACT TO 'CHILDREN GO WHERE I SEND THEE' WITH KENNY ROGERS & HOME FREE? EPIC!
Tim wanted to be Richard Sturbin growing up!
Sabaton fans in Norway call themself sabatours and other call themself nightwitches, so their are more then one name for the fans.
How about one featuring Chance? Workin for a Living which was done by Huey Lewis and the News! A little wacky! Be sure and read the captions!
FIIIIIIOOOoOONAAAAAA🤣🤣🤣
Country artist: Chris Stapelton (squared), Reba McEntire (all day long).
Steer clear of anything by The Eagles. They'll have you struck and shut down before u can blink.😮
Home Free is the only so called country group I listen to. I had never listened to country music and still don't.
I also like Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood
