Tim's range is rare for a basso profundo, but what impresses me even more is his vocal agility in each of his registers. He's doing subtle, crisp, clear runs down in the depths of hell and up in the atmosphere ... and everywhere in between. Thanks for doing this one! Aside: Doo wop is home for me, too. My dad used to sing all (I mean all) of the songs on the album growing up, and he's a fantastic singer, so great memories.
Tim says if you want to sing really low you HAVE to learn to sing at your highest range. Love the look on your faces when he went that high. NOW check out HF's version of Mayday if you want another shock.
Ironically, HF has a song named "One Man Band" so when I first glanced at your title I thought it was that (another great song BTW).
Can't go wrong with Tim from his doowop album, so either way is great.

I courted my husband during this era, and still know all the words by heart. My kids grew up with it. Their dad and I would move the table and roll up the rug and teach the kids how to dance to this stuff. Good times.

Another great rendition by Tim Foust. Love his new cd with all the older doo-wop songs. His voice really suits this genre of music. We know he can really bring the bass but how about his falsetto? He has a 5 octave range. I have always loved these 2 songs from 1960 "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" by The Shirelles & "Stay" by Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs.
P.S. The entire album is FIRE!! 🔥 Just wait 'til you hear "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"! Lol That's him doing all of the animal noises, as well. 👍😁

Yeah it’s funny he normally sings in the basement, then goes up to the attic and then when he talks he’s back in the basement. I’ve heard him in concert and his voice goes thru you. Daniel's smile says it all. How can you not smile at this? The entire album is just as fabulous. If you haven't heard it yet, run, do not walk, and listen to it. This is the music I grew up with, so it's so much fun to hear him do it justice.

One of the a cappella groups Tim was a member of in his younger days (still is, technically speaking) is The Alley Cats, so he comes by his love of doo-wop honestly. There are numerous videos of him performing with them at various birthday and backyard bashes.
Tim is just remarkable and amazing. My favorite on the album is one he hasn released as a single yet - his version of Blue Moon.

Tim is amazing. If you would like, listen to...Tim Foust and The Charismatic Voice. She talks with Tim about how he became who he is. It takes nearly 2 hours on RUclips. It is best to do on your own. Well it would be fun if you both listened together. Amazing...Will make you laugh, be wowed and it is just crazy good. 😊 Thanks y'all.
The thing to keep in mind is that Tim is the ONLY voice or sound being heard. He takes a page from Peter Hollens and is using multiple recordings of himself singing ALL parts harmonizing to the main line, and even the instrument back up.

To top it off three of the men in Home Free are song writers. Tim (bass) has written "What's Left of My Heart", "Snow Globe" and "Land of the Free" among others. Austin (long curly hair) has written "Love Me Like That" and the 3 chapters of "Stargazer Trilogy" among others and Chance (on his channel) "A Whistling Lad". BTW they each have their own channel(s).

Tim has a 5-octave range....he was a Tenor 1 in High School and then he grew up and his voice went south to bass and now we have this amazing singer who could literally sing ANYTHING.

Tim has a 5 octave range. He says to be a good bass you need to work you higher range too. This is him singing all of the parts in this song. I don't know if you know but Austin has his own RUclips channel. But so does Adam Chance the other true bass in the group. Of course he sings baritone most of the time, unless Tim is singing a lead. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
Don't feel bad, NO ONE is ready when Foust shows off his entire range! Even reactors who have said, "He has a five-octave range" can't cope with actually hearing it displayed.
