Another fun one showing Tim's higher range is "My Maria", which you'll find over on Austin's solo channel.
Austin has a good amount of solo work as well.
And while you are over there definitely check out their cover of “What’s It To You” with Jeffery East!
Your reaction made me happy! Thank you. Tim not only can sing 5 part harmony all by himself, he could be a stand-up comedian if he wanted. He is quick-witted and, in his beautiful speaking voice, can bring the house down with laughter.
There's a song of Elvis he did for his grandmother, no video can't help falling in love with you. He plays tge piano, he arranged it. My favorite version ever.
Apparently, he's a hell of a math teacher, too.
Lol
From the same album, he also sings "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and "Duke of Earl". His entire doo-wop album is made of *awesome* ! The opera song you're talking about is Nessum Dorma, sung by Rob and Austin, is fantastic! Austin's got musical theatre background, while Rob studied opera in college (IMO Rob stole the show, but Austin put in a terrific effort). Tim's "In My Room" is visually more impressive since you can see him singing each part, but the entire album is perfection.
Your reactions are so fun and fresh! It's great joining you in your a capella journey. Please look in any/all of Home Free's songs from their album Dive Bar Saints (the title track is the one I'd suggest first, as it's my favorite. Today.)
When you have time check out Peter Hollens with Tim Foust singing Misty Mountains and Sound of Silence. Peter is known for layering multiple tracks
❤
Yes! Please.
And Greensleeves, and ...
And bridge over troubled water.
If you want to see layering, you should check out another acapella artist Peter Hollens. He has done many collaborations with Tim (they have an album about to be released). You may lose your mind on this one, but Misty Mountains with Tim and Peter is phenomenal, and Peter says there are more than 120 layers of their voices in it!
I seem to recall Peter saying only one of those layers was Tim.
In My Room is Tim's most beautiful cover! 5 Tims in 5 part harmony!!
Yes, YES!!! ❤
My very favorite from this album!!! Good Lord!!! ❤
That’s definitely at the top of my list. It’s beautiful!!
Agree!
I think you are ready for Home Free, Mayday 😁
Agree :-)
Agreed. You'll be amazed AND it is a great song on top of Home Free's vocal magic.
Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god-finally!!!!
Did you know Tim has an entire album of doo wop songs??? Yep. So many songs to listen to😀
Can't wait for the opera sung by Rob Lundquist and Austin Brown!!!
I truly hope Home Free makes it to Sydney so you can watch them❤
What a wonderful reaction, thank you❤❤
I'm so so glad you enjoyed it :D ❤
Great reaction DJ. Yeah Tim is amazing and maybe he’s pushing 6 octaves, not sure but he’s really high at the end. Yeah I love doo wop and Tim does too. I love your little dancing reindeer! 🥰
we call it eargasms..lol Tim is next level. great reaction. If you want to hear 5 octaves of Tim in 1 song, check out Tim singing "In my room" (yw in advance..lol)
I thought another reactor pretty much summed up this video when she said Tim "mother f'n" Foust. Yep, does it for me. Thanks DJ. 😆🍟
Still looking forward to some Chance leads-“I Can’t Outrun You”,5 part harmony, hauntingly beautiful, and Charming directed the video. “Cover Me Up”, and let the video play out as there is a surprise. “Some Girls Do”, “Dive Bar Saints”, “Blue Ain’t Your Color”(shared lead with Rob). “Yours”, “Finally Free”,”Born in the USA”, and Chart plays guitar here. “Warmest Winter”. For fun, “Workin’ For a Livin’”, the Huey Lewis and the News song, with a nod to the movie “Anchorman”. Chance doesn’t get the amount of attention he deserves. Tim and Austin are the extremes that seem to get more attention. Also, from Chance’s channel his cover of “Driver’s License “ is stunning. I never heard the song before, and fell in love with his warm, smoky delivery.
Amen ... I think Chance has been a wonderful addition to Home Free ... he adds additional warmth and depth to their sound . Chance has such a smooth , warm tone ... very smokey and sexy !
He's also great on Wayfaring Stranger with The Fox+The Hound.
Yes, I love this one. Harmonies to die for.
Cant waitnto check these out soon!!
May I also recommend "In my room". I think you will love the harmonies that Tim does. His homage to the Beach boys is incredible. In that video you will see many "Tim(s)" like you do in Geoff's videos. I do think you chose the right one to start with though. I love this mash up. This is only one of 13 songs on his album of do whap songs.
Getting ready to seriously date myself here - Frankie Valli & the 4 Seasons was the first concert I ever went to!! Lol Wow, talk about the memories these doo-wop songs from Tim bring back! 👍❤ I could listen to him sing all day long - and do sometimes! 😉 His entire "Pieces of Me" album is spectacular.
And, Tim writes great tunes as well... to say nothing of the smile on his mug as he sings.
“In my room” tims cover of beachboy classic is awsome. As well as his cover of “since i dont have you”
It's funny how the whole "Wait ten videos in to react to Mayday " has become a moot point! By the time reactors get to it they already know! Love all the a capella reactions!
There are two compilations videos of reactions to Tim's low notes called Timgasms. He definitely makes you feel a certain kind of way. Saw them live and he hits notes that vibrate in your chest. They put on an amazing live show. Tim is hilarious and they all come across as down to earth guys you'd just like to hang out with.
Great reaction! You need to react to Tim’s “Come go with me” from his doo-wop album. It’s amazing.
Another great rendition by Tim Foust. Love his new cd with all the older doo-wop songs. His voice really suits this genre of music. We know he can really bring the bass but how about his falsetto? He has a 5 octave range. I have always loved these 2 songs from 1960 "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" by The Shirelles & "Stay" by Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs.
Cant wait to hear more and more
I really love to watch your reactions to Home Free! You and Home Free make me so happy 😁!!!
Tim Foust loves to collaborate. I am up to 15 different artist channels that I have seen him on. He was in Chance's last video with Street Corner Symphony, VoicePlay, The Hound and The Fox, Peter Hollens, Pattycake Productions (Layne of VP) and many more.
Whenever I think I know Home Free members pretty well, someone comes out with new information... Thank you, I had no idea about the existence of Street Corner Symphony 😅 Would you mind telling me which of their videos has Tim in it so I can check it out? 🥺
@@leahricova7207 Street Corner Symphony's I Believe in a Thing Called Love has a cameo from Tim which is also Chance's last video with SCS. Earlier that same year, Home Free filmed House Party in Chance's apt in Nashville and Chance and Street Corner Symphony are extras in the video. Years before Tim was offered the bass position in SCS and after he declined he recommended Chance to the group.
@@callie3396 Thanks for the info ❤️
He has an absolutely amazing voice for the doo wop style. You should check out Austin's channel. There is actually a song that Austin, Tim, Chris Chatham and Jeffrey East do together that will shock you. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
Tim has a 5 octave range. I fell in love with him ages ago.....
Frankie Valley and the Four Seasons is what you're searching for. Had hits in the 50's and 60's then famously in the 70's with 'Oh What a Night ( December 63)'. The inspiration for The Jersey Boys Musical.
Tim can sing in 5 plus octaves! His vocal range is incredible!
I don’t understand how you don’t have 1M subscribers! Your reactions are such a joy! I’m so glad you are loving my favorite group! So much to discover with them yet. Have a great day! 😀❤️
That is so sweet of you to say!!! I have only been doing reactions for a month so hopefully one day we will grow to 1m 😁😂
Oh my god ... Only a month 😮 it feels like I've been watching you for a year at least 😂 see you soon on your patreon as soon as I have my first paycheck after maternity leave 😊😉
Agree ❤😂
I've never heard any of Tim's solo stuff, that was amazing! His highs are suuuuper high, very impressive. And, well, we all know how low he can go 😂 #DJantlers #DJsHerd 💜🦌
I just love the way these guys layer their voices to harmonize with themselves. Also their insane vocal ranges and versatility.
If there wasn’t arms on your chair, I really think you would have fallen out of it on this one! Great reaction, and DO go and see them live if you can! You shouldn’t deprive yourself of that for us! ❤️
My Maria on Austin Brown's channel is a lot of fun because Tim sings the high part and Austin sins the lower part. Very fun! His 120+ layer collab with Peter Hollens on Misty Mountains is incredible.
On a completely different direction, I just remembered a VoicePlay video on Kurt Hugo Schneider's channel that's amazing but not well known called 21 Pilots Mashup. Is also mind blowing!
Love and hugs!!! ❤💜💙 #DJsHerd
it always amazes me how it sounds like actually different voices when he layers. His arrangements really show them off, too. And, yes, I would have liked to hear more of Will You Still Love....
And he truly enjoys signing, performing. Has anyone told you about Sweet & Low? He and Austin and a few other supremely talented singer-songwriters that have put together a new group to make music in their "spare" time.
The fun of seeing them feeling the bass. It shakes the room.
Yes, definitely see them live. You will quickly discover that in addition to their musical talents, they are entertainers! Tim is the front man for the group, and a comedian and raconteur. The "story time with Tim" is not to be missed. In addition, he is a gifted songwriter. The tour will be showcasing their new album, So Long Dixie, with most songs written by Tim or Austin with others. Please react to their new releases from the album before you see them live.
I got the “Pieces Of Me” album and LOVE IT
I was soooo hoping you would react to this song. It really shows off Tim's talent. Great reaction!
The entire album is fabulous. On the video I get a kick out of Chris rocking in the booth. He has such a good tenor because he was training as a tenor before his voice changed - rather late - and he has been able to maintain it. Austin also has some great solo stuff on his channel. You might try his version of Bring Him Home from Les Miz. Nothing you can do to prepare yourself. Just go with it.
You will love them so much live!! Not only are they amazing live, but they are incredibly funny. Thanks for your reaction. Making me smile.
His layering is Amazing ….. the whole album he did (“PIECES…VOL.#1).. totally DOO-WOP…..just plain AWESOME 🔥🎵🎶‼️❤️
The range is unreal. Talent level is so high.
Do the opera, it’s beautiful.
Great Reaction!! Here’s another Tim that will blow you away Misty Mountain (The Hobbit)Peter Hollens Ft Tim Foust
And the Opera song is Nessun Dorma it’s on Austin’s RUclips page
DJ your reactions always make me smile and laugh 😃. You should check out Adam Chance doing Sound Of Silence with Hound and the Fox, and Warefaring Stranger. Austin Brown has his own channel also. Check out Tears in Heaven, Bring Him Home. Home Free songs Some Girls Do, Can't Stop This Feeling
So glad you are enjoying the reactions! Can't wait to check out your suggestions in the future!!
The album Tim talks about at the end there lived in my car's CD player for at least a solid month. Every song on it is awesome.
Tim is that guy! Love everything he does! Great reaction!❤
Great reaction, Tim is awesome and amazing!!🔥❤️❤️👏👏
Welcome to the Tim Foust rabbit hole!! Great reaction as always DJ!! ❤
Tim got his start in a DooWop group. He loves this genre.
Talk about a one man band ... love me some Tim !!
If you want to see layering, EXPERT layering, check out Peter Hollens. He is another great vocalist, and did a collaboration with Tim Foust on the song Misty Mountains.
More Peter Hollens songs:
Hobbit Drinking Song
Epic Disney Villains Medley
Phantom of the Opera
Many, many more.
If you dig Do Wop, this song came from an entire album of Do Wop by Tim. It’s called PIECES OF ME VOLUME 1. It’s amazing!
"These a capella guys are going to kill me." Yeah, but what a helluva way to go.
My guy... What a reaction, hum! 😅 Also, those feels you're feeling are called timgasms... ☺️ They're related to the geoffquakes but not quite the same. 😆
Was so happy when Tim followed Geoff's lead and started his own channel doing his own covers. He has even cloned himself ( I don't think he has named them ) in his cover of "In My Room". Yes Geoff and Tim have been inducted into the PDC (Panty Dropping Club by BrittReacts. We all enjoy Geoffgasms / Timgasms.
Great reaction! Tim is such a gifted artist. My ears and eyes are very happy right now!!! Another beautiful song from this album is Since I don't have you, it is IMO at his best. You should also check out Home Free's Austin Brown singing Bring Him Home from Les Miserables. Mind Blowing! And of course all the Home Free your heart desires. Thank you for your reaction!
Tim is so incredibly talented. IMHO, the best solo which shows his range the beauty of his voice, is his Elvis cover of I Can't Help, Falling In Love With You. It's just Tim playing piano and singing but OMG. I never thought anyone could come close to the King, but of the two, I have to say Tim's is my favorite version. Unfortunately on RUclips, it's audio only. Even if you don't react, it's a must listen.
HF is an incredible group with rarely seen musical talents blending so showcase and support each other. The individual work done by Austin and Tim shines the spotlight on the musical heights and the depths they own. Please continue frequent reactions to their work. That's why I subscribed.
Was waiting for this one 😂 great reaction 🥰🥰
If you love layering, check out Peter Hollens. Peter is the "king" of layering. His solos and his collaborations with one other person sound like a choir. And I think you're thinking of Frankie Valli (and The Four Seasons).
I'm not sure you'd survive a live show lol! Not just because of the incredible mixture of talent on stage, but they're also hilarious. Like, they could be a comedy act alone. Seriously! You need to check out "Guilty Pleasures Hilariously Derailed" from their Tifton, GA show from a while back. It's just the best. Hard to describe until you see it. You have the best reactions, by the way. Thanks for sharing them with us!
Saw them twice last year and will hopefully see them a couple of times this year! The live show is killer! 😊
Tim Foust is so very awesome! You have to love Tim! Love your reaction!
Sorry DJ , I'm already laughing and smiling I know what's coming and .. yah there is no such thing as being prepared It's a What The Foust moment every time he opens his mouth. so hang on deep breaths and oh Enjoy !
I'm a Home Fry as you know, but I really think you should check out Jackson Browne/ Stay 😊
I am SO SO SO SO happy you did this song!!! I'm just going to sit back and watch, this is going to be phenomenal!
another great one that Tim wrote and did with HomeFree was champagne taste on a beer budget it’s hilarious! Also try some of Austin’s individual stuff he is also amazing ❤🏴
I love Tim’s voice. But he’s also hilarious. Have you see. His ‘Southerner in the Snow’ video? 😂
Geeze! I love it!! Sooo dang good. Thank you hun for these amazing videos. Im sorry I haven't put down any comments latley. But I watch these reaction videos daily and lots of times during the day! Thank you again for these amazing moments and keep it up hun! 🥰❤
This man wow goosebumps...Love me some Tim...
Autin has some great solo stuff, too.
Just to let you know, Voiceplay will be premiering Valhalla Calling at noon EST on April 7 2023, the sequel to My Mother Told Me.
Alright DJ_410, I look forward to your reaction, even if it won't be a blind reaction. I saw you in the chat!
SO GOOD! Love that Tim's bringing back doo-wop 🥰 (Now we know what a 5-octave range really sounds like❣️)
And to think he might have gone into dentistry or teaching and we would've missed out on his musical genius 🤯
This is so unbelievably fabulous! I only wish this video didn't fade out before he hits that final high note! I really want to hear his incredible finale to this gorgeous arrangement! ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
You should check out Long Black Train that he collaborated with Chris Rupp on.
Tim's version of "Can't Help Falling in Love" is out of this world.
Hoping you'll react to Home Free doing "Helplessly Hoping" and "One Man Band"
He's truly a one man band with a range to be envied. They're all multi-talented. Do also check out PTX Hallelujah too...706 million views and counting ;) Great reaction!
You should check out 22 times Tim Foust went subwoofer mode
And, don't forget Austin and Tim and friends performing "My Maria" (Austin's channel). But I think you're right: For your health's sake, pace yourself.
Bought the album as soon as it came out and it's fantastic. Definitely check out some more of the Home Free guys solo stuff - Adam Chance has a beautiful bass voice.
If you like Doo wop, your going to love this.❤
Tim is amazing!! And seem to be really nice, funny guys as well. I was lucky enough to see them in Arizona in February, and you absolutely do NOT want to miss a live show…
They are amazing live!!!! You FEEL the music.
I think my brain will explode
Be sure to check out Tim’s collaborations with Peter Hollens (Misty Mountins, Greensleeves, Sunshine on My Shoulders, Blackbird, etc.) and also with the Hound and the Fox (We Three Kings)
You'll have to listen to Tim do the Beach Boys In My Room! He nails it!
I told you that this one would wreck you. Glad you finally got around to watching this.
I was able to see them in Knoxville, Tennessee in March and they were fabulous 👌
Hopefully you will get that opportunity to see them.
Okay, first off, discovered you today for one of your Voice Play videos and somehow ended up here on loop. Your reactions are fantastic!
Second, I was like you. I saw Home Free and was enamored. They were awesome, and I grew to love each one more with each video. And, then, they were coming to a venue near me. So, I bought those tickets…. It literally made me like them 50% less. This was like when you’re a kid and they tell you don’t meet your heroes. Their videos are so good, that real life is kind of a disappointment. And, from what I understand from a lot of other people who have gone to seen them the passed few years, it’s the same. Home Free lost their spark for live shows. They talked more than they sang and had an obnoxiously long intermission. Which, I for one cannot understand, because I also saw Oak Ridge Boys a few months later and those guys put on a heck of their show at twice Home Free’s ages. It literally took me six months after I saw them to listen to their music again without cringing.
Just, for the love of all that is good, don’t go see them live if you want to keep loving their music.
I recommend you to watch the interview that Elizabeth Zharoff from the Charismatic Voice had with Tim. It's almost two hours long, but you'll learn *a lot* about him.
Just suscribed, by the way. I'm loving your vibe.
You won't survive Nessun Dorma. You'll be the same puddle of awe as we all are.
Your so cute when you are listen to the home free music i love u
So. Now you need to react to Peter Hollens featuring Tim Foust on "Misty Mountains" Peter Hollens is another acapella rabbit hole for you though so be warned! He has many collabs with Tim (a whole album) and with Home Free. Peter is a MASTER at layering his voice, add-in Tim and prepare to lose contact with the ground. You NEED to hear Misty Mountains, especially if you like Lord of the Rings!
Yesssss you did it
Definitely fond of this one. Frankie Valli has always been a fave and Tim more than did him justice.
Speaking of Sam Smith...were you thinking of "Stay With Me"? VoicePlay has a cover of that one... just saying... 😁
What can you say about Tim, except he's hot.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for such a fun reaction, so glad you enjoyed it...now go find the socks it knocked off of you.
Hahah I'm gonna need to buy new socks every day at this point 😂 keep having then knocked off!
Loved the Reaction as usual! 🩵 Tim is super talented. If you love doo-wop, there is a cover by Voiceplay I haven’t seen many reactions on and it is excellent. It is with J None and Earl as members in the group, only 3 years old called Sh-Boom (Life could be a dream)! Check it out! 🎶🎶🎶
You should hear Tim in mayday
Another song you should listen to is Austin Brown’s cover of “Tears in Heaven”!
Be brave and do Austin and Rob singing Nessun Dorma, on Austins channel, while you are there Austin singing Bring Him Home is so good but my favourite is I'm Not Supposed To Love You Anymore, but they are all my favourites really x 🏴
Have you watched Misty Mountains with Peter Hollens? Wow, just wow
