- This is a new acceleration video of my w202 C200 1998. Its bone stock, 5 speed automatic and 136 hp, 225/45/17 tires. Traction control was off in the beginning and you can hear the tires spin a bit.
This time I got the car to go a bit quicker because it shifted into 5th automatically, the last time it stayed in 4th gear.

I had 205/55/16 tires back then. Now I have 225/45/17 on my car for over 4 years.
Incredible, I always thought that 6,000 was peak revs in 5th gear, 5,000rpm at top speed is bloody good. And over 225,000km - winning!

0-100 km/h around 12.5 s if we take 105 km/h as real GPS 100 km/h (5 km/h speedometer error). 100-160 km/h takes about 19 s which is quite good for a 136 PS car with 5AT and about 1.4 ton!

30-35 km/h is the speed that is allowed in residential/school areas and 50-60 km/h in city areas. This applys to most countries around the world at least ;)

When I drive top speed like 160km I can hear my excel gearbox make sound like baring or gear.
I just dont know how to fix that and this is my second excel. My first excal speed until 140km I can feel that is the limit.
Now my second excel can push until 160km I know I can push more... but I am worried something will go wrong if I push... any advice...
How many miles can a well maintained w202 C200 1999 automatic car run without a major engine issue?
It all depends on how you drive and maintain the car. Other than that, the w202 is known for its reliability, especially the engine and automatic transmission. Over 180k miles should not be an issue

Esprit has a slightly lowered suspension and instead of wood it has fake aluminium inlays. Other than that the seats have a different pattern and different wheels. Maybe i´m forgetting something. But in my opinion the Elegance trim is better equipped and overall more elegant, just like the name says :)

Nope, not worth it because the engine is NA, no turbo or supercharger. You can´t get any "real" power out of it except if you invest properly for some serious mods. Its better to just get another car or swap the engine to a six cylinder or the 230 kompressor ;)

Its in the description: 5 speed automatic. Other than that it doesn´t really sound like a manual, does it? ;)

I have c180 it can do the same accelaration of your car in less time than that ...Maintaince of the car is important
Sure your c180 can do that :) Every video of the c180 I have seen is much slower than the c200 and its not even relevant if its an automatic or manual, the m111 e18 engine is always slower than its bigger brother and thats a fact
@@kingsan1200 Ofc yes c200 engine is fast ..c180 = 1.8 and c200=2.0 ...but what I mean your car is slower ..u can find on the road the same type of your car but it can go fast than your car ..That's depends on maintence of the car ...I am from Egypt and we know that a car is different from another from the aceelaration and top speed because it depends on how u train ur engine ... I get the top speed of my car which is 225 km/h 3 times per year ...other can do 210km/h because they don't usually stiff on engine
but my engine is sooo loud in cold start 13 C in Egypt it takes a min and half to warm up what could be the problem please
I maintain my car very well and service it every year with an oil change and filters (air, oil etc.) and every other part on my car is in great shape till now. I´m pretty sure my car is just as fast as every other c200 out there ;)
which oil do you use? maybe its not made for rather "cooler" tempratures if you live in egypt. Not sure though
my mercedes c230 w202 limit is at 40000 RPM, how can it go at 60000 RPM??

seriously I am not lying, in Indonesia Mercedes W202 almost all RPM limits. therefore I want to ask, how to open a limit
@@ghejungky6581 I´m sure it´s just a typo. You surely mean 6000 rpm, not 60000 ;) But 6000 is normal for this car, I did not change it. All original.
There is a limiter for 4000 rpm when the car is in P or N, but when driving, it will go to 6250 rpm
yeah, I will try to find a straight path to prove the truth .. 😁 my mercedes are manual type. with Neutral conditions, very heavy limits 40 RPM.

No, this is a normal 5 speed automatic. You can keep it in a gear manually but it does not have the tiptronic feature. That was introduced in the 99 model, just about 2 years before the w203 came
