the one thing i do like about the SF4 so far is the headphone jack instead of being forced to use their junkie speakers..my smh10s sucked and i didnt like them..one thing i am curious about is does the sf4 work and pair up with other sena's?
Michael Hye yes it is nice to be able to change the speakers. I have paired my sf4 with the 20s and the 30K and it pairs just fine but I had LOTS of issues with voice quality. Either I couldn’t understand other people or they couldn’t understand me......and sometimes both. It would sound like our voices were underwater. As soon as the sf4 was out of the intercom group everything was fine so it was definitely an issue with the sf4. I have since switched to a 30K and been much happier. You can find a 30K for about $220 if you find a sale on amazon.....the sf4 was $199 so I would suggest spending the extra few bucks.
Terrible Customer support: I purchased my device (SENA SF4) new about 3 months ago. A week later I noticed a problem with the Aux connection that caused one of the speakers to come in and out. I contacted Sena customer support and after 3 months they finally send me an RMA to ship it back to them at my own cost.
do you think i can connect my bose qc30 via blutooth to the sena sf4 . The bose are great at noise cancelling and the sound is good as well. All i really need the sena sf4 for is to use its intercom technology and use the bose for speakers and mic ?
Brett Naysmith totally agree. The old sena units could charge with usb too but they included a car charger that output 12 volts and would charge faster. My complaint was that Sena didn’t bother to include a car charger with this unit and they told me that my old charger would work with it.
Gerke van der Galiën the sf4 uses a standard headphone jack where the 10r uses a special plug so the speakers aren’t interchangeable. I’ve never had a 20s so I don’t know what kind of plug it uses.

What is the range of talking between intercoms ?
Stamen Kisov I believe the box claims 900 meters. About a half mile. But in my experience it’s much less than that. Line of sight basically.
These days everything gets charged from USB leads. I think its great that it can be charged from a usb port on a bike on any phone charging outlet.

Thanks for the unboxing and also clarification on the sub standard speakers. SENA does it again.
Kym Moulds thanks for watching! I haven’t finished my long term review video for this thing yet but.....spoiler alert.....it’s junk.
@@TourmotoDesign Were these the so called " HD" speakers that SENA have advertised that come with the SF4?
Can you use your 20s speakers that the 20s and the 10r have?
