I understand why it's difficult for pure people like her, she deserves the best. I remember when I was a kid I told my uncle who worked in the industry as a producer, I wanted to be an actor, he paused and then he said: we should follow our dreams but you have to know there are wiser decisions ,, and i was like what the f was he talking about?! he can help my dream he works in Hollywood!! .. but i grew up and realized that he knows.. he knows what's up.. he knows it's a dark world, a rabbit hole.. and I don't want it anymore. he recently told me that most of the people you see on the red carpet are made. they do what they're told. and when you think you can be rebellious or complain or you want things your way, then that the end of your career..

But yes he wanted desperately to be a zombie extra only cause he got to maul and be all over fergie. You're right about the lack of allegations against him but one thing I'll say that strikes me as off besides the foot thing you mentioned etc. Is the way he acts and carries himself around women. He's a grown man but he's still very awkward and bumbly around them. In a way that seems like He's never been accepted in willingly by most women so he's put off around them. I think actors need to be some form of *appealing*, but what's messed up is that for young women the ONLY way you're allowed to appeal is to appeal sexually. But there are lots of ways an actor can draw people in. Men are afforded a bunch of other ways they can be appealing, like being mysterious or frightening or cunning, or a million other ways that draw people in.
Some of that is because women in society are also only expected to be sexually appealing, and so the film roles reflect that. But there also seems to be something uniquely sick in Hollywood where producers (both men and women) who capitalize primarily on women's sexuality get an undue share of the resources.

Someone: What's the secret to being a great interviewer and getting subjects to relax, feel safe, and open up?
Sam, probably: Well.. not sure being genuine and empathetic means you're so "great." Being yourself and _real_ works wonders. None of that's a secret; the road less traveled maybe.
    Someone: 🤔

Every girl feels this way (and this is probably also the experience of black people too): becoming a specific type of body in the eyes of the other / acquiring a gender / skincolor in their eyes and the painful experience of having to "play that part".

Not sure what movie Mary was referring to where she got treated unfairly on set in her mid twenties.
She did play at Scott Pilgrim in her mid 20s but she expressed tremendous appreciation for the film, character, Edgar Wright and for the people that she worked with.

Lara v not sure about that though.
She said in interviews that she had loads of fun playing there and working with Tarantino.

@@Johnny-ux7yi well obviously she couldn't say anything at that time. and I've never heard actors say bad things about co-workers if they want to get hired again.

I think maybe it was Abraham Lincoln Vampire Slayer or perhaps The Thing.

What Mary's revealed is an explicit example of the sexism in Hollywood. It's horrid. Women/girls deserve the same amount of respect, support, and acceptance as we men/boys do, whether in Hollywood or not. Beyond all that, though, Mary Elizabeth Winstead is my top personal-favorite live-action actress.

Acting isnt the only career that has has to face these kind of shit. In a world where rich rule the poor, its happening everywhere. It really comes down to the rich that rule u. If he is a good person or the bad one.
