    Dear Nutritionist Deepa. Thanks for your amazing presentation and historical background of pulses. Just one small remark, you mentioned soy beans under crops like wheat. Soy beans, just like all other beans, peas and lentils, are a nitrogen fixer and belong to the Fabaceae family of plants. One more fact you could correct in your presentation. Legumes have small nodules on their roots which have the ability to exchange nitrogen with soil bacteria. With other words, they can grow in poor soil because of this amazing nitrogen harvesting activity and not because they are rich in protein🌿💚🌿

    Can't digest lentils. Even pressure cooking them. Any alternatives?

      Try soaking them first, adding a pinch of baking soda while cooking. Good luck.

      Start with pink lentils 1 tsp at a time. Soak and cook with kombu seaweed.
