    An imaging guided surgeon (interventional radiologist) & neuroradiologist, author of nutrition, medical & study skills books, Peter Rogers MD is the "Spartan Vegan."
    In college he was student athlete of the year at Stanford. Graduated 1st in medical school class.
    Dr. Rogers works as neuroradiologist, but also did fellowship imaging guided surgery (interventional radiology) at Harvard. He got fat in 30's and learned his way out. He was one of best medical students in USA in biochemistry and tries to understand pathophysiology. Has written a books about nutrition & study skills including "How to improve blood flow," "Hot topics in nutrition," "Straight A at Stanford & on to Harvard," "How to raise IQ, & become a genius."
    Stanford university student athlete of the year, 1985. University of Illinois medical school award for best male medical student in class; best student in pathology; highest board scores in class of 333 students; biochemistry score 780/800, possibly the highest in the USA (biochem is the most difficult subject in medical school). Biochem is “considered” to include nutrition. Residency at Northwestern with 99% board scores. Fellowship in interventional radiology (imaging guided surgery) at Harvard. Fellowship in neuroradiology at Rush.
    Author of multiple books about nutrition, reducing risk of disease, and study skills. Discovered almost all the major medical textbooks are 50-100 years out of date, and often, completely wrong. Secret desire #1 = to become a nutrition doctor, but can’t, because there’s no money in it. Secret desire #2 = to rewrite the major medical textbooks, but can’t, because there’s no money in it. The shocking truth is that most medical textbooks are essentially worthless, because they do no include nutrition, and most disease is caused by poor nutrition.

    • @PartlySunny74
      @PartlySunny74 16 дней назад +2

      Dr. McDougall would probably take you off the BP med so you don’t faint. You should pursue this query, so you don’t suffer a fall.
      Dr. McDougall has a live show Sunday nights on YT worth tuning in and watching the older episodes.

      My elderly mother was able to safely get off all blood pressure medicines with the assistance of her physician. She eats a version of the nutritarian diet style and we heeded Dr. Fuhrman's advice warning about treating blood pressure to the point where the diastolic gets too low so not enough blood and oxygen get back to the heart. Check out the Johns Hopkins research titled: Doctors: Beware of low diastolic blood pressure when treating hypertension. I printed out this research and shared it with my mother's physician who went to med school at Johns Hopkins. Good luck and good health to you!

      You're most likely over treating your bp. Dr. mcDougall says don't take meds unless your blood pressure is 160/100 consistently. You risk silent strokes as the blood doesn't reach the deep parts of the brain sufficiently. Dr. Rogers also has videos explaining the mechanism. Eat a starch based low fat diet and your blood pressure will continue to drop (making the meds even more dangerous).

    This guy is insufferable with the relationship nonsense, it's a running theme with him but it felt like a lot in this video.
    I don't mind comedy but this guy doesn't understand it crosses over into "sad" territory because it's obvious there's truth in his thoughts here and usually if a spouse is treating you like that there's a reason. Men don't get treated this way in healthy relationships. I actually feel bad for anyone relating to it

    The marriage “jokes” at the beginning were demeaning to both women AND men (but especially to women!). I had to turn it off.

  • @billieread2116
    @billieread2116 16 дней назад +5

    He routinely is disparaging toward women, especially his wife. That takes away from his effectiveness in teaching.
    No wonder his wife makes him live in the basement and everyone else lives upstairs. He’s condescending and offensive.
    I could be mistaken but I think that’s what he has said in previous videos, his wife wanted a divorce. He did not want a divorce because he needs her to cook for him and do his business paperwork.
    So they compromised and he moved to the basement. Even his kids think he is offense.
    Dr. Rogers, please stop talking crap about women, it’s unprofessional and reflects negatively on you.

      @@janetbrowning6602 have you actually listened to him? over the last 4 months he's babbled enough to connect the dots that he takes things too far and it's offensive to his family. They tolerate him. Do you think it's a good look to call everyone around you fat and stupid? It may be honest but it's rude and it's not how to get people on your side.
