    Tip: You can draw those division scales on elastic bands and stretch them to get quick 'eased' motion of any length.

      i'm not an animator, but i'm curious what you mean if you don't mind explaining a little bit

    • @Martin-bx1et
      @Martin-bx1et 2 года назад +18

      @@thatssoweirdhonest at around 7:08 TheCrafsMan is drawing graduations on a rule so that he can direct a pointer on the rig to control the speed and acceleration. Typically, 'easing' the movement might involve gradually expanding the space between the marks and then bunching them up again to reverse the effect. Instead of creating the marks from scratch for each movement, marks on an elastic band can be stretched between different points to suit a particular move. (You will still need to create different scales to match the overall number of frames but this should cut out a lot of repetition.)

It also makes me so happy when I see people helping you out too because you totally deserve it! Great video as always, TheCraftsMan. I think it would be nice if they powder coated the Winder in green-screen color, that way it could be eliminated more easily while creating the background, instead of having to clip it out of each frame. Depending on the length of your video, clipping it out of each frame could take way more time than anything else in the process.
