I have loved Ace since 1973….but is anyone surprised he has not evolved or still plays sloppy? He was great from 74 - 78 and since then it’s the same style, same licks and a little degradation each year… he was pretty good in 1996. He is in 70s now, do you expect him to get better? He has never worked at his playing - even so the greatness of what he did between 74 and 78 still holds up. I don’t go see him play, I know what I will get and I am over it…but I still LOVE what he gave us.

The band is killing it, but Ace's playing is very sloppy and his vocals are absolutely BRUTAL. My advice would be get the other guys to sing all the songs as there is just no point in Ace singing at this point in his career. It's only hurting his legacy! He needs someone to tell him that!
There is no help that can fix this . This is age and hard lifestyle over many decades. He has been sober for years but the damage was already . Even after you get sober the damage from drugs and booze will still manifest as you age . Ace is old deaf burned out from his former lifestyle and he does nkg practice enough.

The special effects of the stage hands walking back and forth on stage really added to the show. 😆 I like Ace, but his strong point was never his singing and it was never more clear than now... If he wants to insist on playing, he should play in settings where he just plays his awesome lead guitar. Otherwise, it looks like he's overstayed his welcome at the party.
I picked up electric guitar at 14. 1975. I learned Aces 2 or 3 licks. Now its 2023 and theyre still the only ones i know. Same with Ace though. Out of the original 4 Kiss members Ace was the one known for his musicianship.

Peter was f'n awesome in the black and silver years, 73 up to about 77... there's been a rumor for YEARS he's the only truly live part of the first Alive. after 78ish I can see why everyone bags on Pete to be fair. hate to say that.. but it's true, look at him on the Dynasty tour for a refresher

Wow….I saw him in Jamestown, NY a couple months ago. It was great to see him, I love Ace and am a huge KISS fan. I even saw them in Erie, PA on the first Farewell Tour in 2000. This is hard to watch though. I think he’s digressed since I saw him in April. He played in Erie in 2012 which is on YT, and in that he seems 20+ years younger so he has aged substantially just in the past 10 years.
It's like this power trio brought someone onto the stage who was drunk to the point of passing out. They work around his constant tempo changes. We still love you, Ace.
Mortified. Saw him in Connecticut 7/9. I couldn't believe what I was seeing/hearing. Most terrible show I have ever seen.... with zero expectations!. I just went to show support for what we all grew up on. Ace has to get help, or give it up entirely, and stop listening to the "close" sycophants telling him to keep going. Yea, not lookkng good for Ace. I have seen him 3 times in the last 3 years and each one has been terribly worse and worse. His band use to be able to save these sets but now that hes back to 2 guitarists instead of 3 it is extremley noticeable. Something is definitely not right with Ace. Maybe missing out on the Kiss tour has broken him and he's relapsed. Gene and Paul (especially Gene) strung him along for a couple of years just in case ticket sales weren't the best when they first went on sale. As soon as they realised they were selling enough premium tickets, backstage experiences, etc for the tour to be profitable without Ace, they immediately started bagging him again. The couple of years leading up to the tour Paul was always non-committal when asked if Ace would be involved and Gene had Ace very close for a while, with lots of Vault appearances, the Australian tour together, and writing songs together. Ace probably thought he was back and was shattered when they started all the backstabbing again.
Mr. Ace Frehley is a living legend! His original music is terrific 👌. He can even cover the Monkeys 😂 day tripper and he nails Led Zeppelin on the 🎸 guitar.

My guess is that its more severe tinnitus causing his decline than his party past. Maybe a combo of both. All them years of bombs, hi volume, feedback spikes etc.. Tinnitus makes everything sound really chaotic at loud volume and greatly dulls the senses. Props to his band for being good and carrying him thru it.

He sang it like he was extremely bored..and missed lyrics. Kiss to me,are done..and so is Ace. Still got the memories of their best days..I'm quite good with that.

Is it just me or the drummer messing things up as well? Its like ace knew what fills Matt Starr did correctly to keep the pace with him. Seems like hes been mostly playing his new music and not practicing his older stuff

Omg he sounds horrible. He walked out there with no excitement whatsoever, his vocals..good lord almighty, bad. No way would I pay to see and hear this. I couldn't get passed "RIP it out". He sang it like he was extremely bored..and missed lyrics. Kiss to me,are done..and so is Ace. Still got the memories of their best days..I'm quite good with that.
