Hey, the vocals were still miles better than anything Paul Stanley has done in the past 15 years. Pick your poison I guess. Drunk ace or Paul squawking
I'd give him a pass on this one. Live, you mess up once and a while. Nowadays there are cameras everywhere. He might do 100 gigs perfect and this is what gets the headlines.
Ace will always be one of my guitar Heroes, his sloppy playing and solos are legendary, I don't say sloppy as a negative, ask Jimmy Page fans they will tell you the same thing, who I am also a fan of, but I think time and loss of hearing has taken its toll on Ace. He needs to just stop, and I will say the same thing about Paul and his voice for the last 10 years, time stops for nobody we all get old and have to move to other things, Ace Peter Paul Gene have well beyond gotten to that point
He is pretty old . A legend and one of my greatest guitar hero’s . No way I would pay money to watch him or Kiss . They had their time and it has clearly passed
even Anomaly from 2009 was an alright LP, not sure what happened besides maybe Ace getting notably older? I reaaallly hope he's not getting inebriated, he's too old for that
That other guitar player was already clapping before you can even hear the impending train wreck. He wasn't trying to distract from it. It was just a brain fart on Ace's part that he couldn't get of of quickly.
Like the sign used to say, and quoted from Fast Times at Ridgemont High, I ponder if the fish next garment would get one into the store with the sign “No shirt, no shoes, no…”; you know the rest!
OMG This is a like a scene out of Spinal Tap and Ace looks like Nigel Tufnel when the air report was coming thru his guitar speakers. LMAO. This is a fkn priceless gem to show Stanley how it’s done live and if you’re you just dropped a Quaalude.
You're forgetting he's almost deaf. He could barely hear me when I met him a few years ago and had to repeat my question multiple times. He repeatedly said he was "deaf" and couldn't hear much. He probably needs hearing aids, give him a break. Haha
that might be an issue when trying to play the same notes as the rest the band! BUT I didn't think about that, it's a good point, could be why he has such issues with monitor mixes and the people mixing them. great comment!
Ace is supposedly sober these days, but he may have just damaged so many brain cells there's no saving him. He's burnt. This whole Kiss franchise and all of its hangers-on just need to call it a day and go home. Go crack a beer and celebrate an amazing career.
In the meantime people once again paid good, hard earned money to see a rock and roll catastrophe. Also, he just kinda proved Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley right that he isn't capable of touring and is not trustworthy of performing sober...and that really sucks because Ace was everybody's favorite Kiss member, including myself. Ripping people off is never ok even if you have a legacy like Ace's. If anything, it should hold him to a higher standard.
@@Michael-f4o7b I understand what you are saying, but Paul does it every night! Heard him sing? Ace played out of key during a bridge in a song! Paul is out of key in every song! Let’s not go there with that comment!
I was at this show. I winced hard during the solo, but I think it was more just playing the wrong note rather than being out of tune. lol If you find clips from throughout the show, you'll see that they're often playing very slowly (definitely did on Rip it Out). They also did that when I saw Ace's band at a couple of shows in 2017.
Do you think he (Ace) can hear that he is off tune? Ole Ace is what like 75 now? He has to be about 75ish... His Cherry Medicare Video is pretty groovy although it's quite hilarious. Ace still is doing it. I read a book one of his exes wrote. It was nuts!
I just recently rediscovered ace when I watched the 1996 reunion with kiss and have a renewed spark and appreciation of ace who seemed at his best in this period . But his recent stuff really is sub par and his stage presence and energy live today looks and feels like he really puts no effort into his performance. Zero energy I feel watching him , don't know what he's doing to prepare or personal challenges may be , but he's joining a list of rockers who are tarnishing their legacy by showing up not ready to give 100% for the fans who pay and support them. Gene and Paul seem to be right and justified in why they have parted.
It was probably just a slow moving brain fart that he couldn't find his way out of very quickly. It happens to the many seasoned pros. Nobody is absolutely perfect all of the time.
I always found it funny back in the day the posers talking shit about bands and particular musicians saying this guy sucks that band sucks and never picked up an instrument in their life
Yeah, but this slipped in and out of tune. Generally guitars don't go back into tune without some persuasion. I think its more likely that someone was just playing in the wrong key entirely. Maybe ace maybe the other guy. I think it was ace but kinda hard to tell.
Correct, Les Pauls do that, but you'd think a veteran guitarist like Ace would be able to notice when it goes out and switch guitars or make an on the fly adjustment.
Don't blame the guitar, blame the player. That was a total shit show by Frehley. He completely lost track of where he was in the song. Then he looks at the other guitar player because he knew he was lost and f-ing up big time. Embarrassing.
@@richcasey7380 Ultimately it is the player responsible for his/her guitar. so if you know your guitar has a tendency to act a certain way then stay on top of it. No one blamed the guitar.

If you can't play a song you've played thousands of times it's time to hang it up
Saw him last year with Alice cooper
Lethargic should have been Ace's new album title
Losing bro, the word is losing, come on.
@hellono2561 oh that was so Important to point out, typed it
Quickly .Quickly is something ACE can't do anymore , play Quickly
Please feel free to correct everyone's grammar, as that's what's Important lol
It's funny, though, because there are clips of him playing this just a few months ago and he does it pretty well!!!
yeah, drug and alcohol addiction are funny that way
Kiss always plays tuned 1/2 a step down. Somebody handed him a guitar in a different key. Ace is a freaking legend!!! Respect the original Spaceman.
Absolutely. The guitar tech fucked that one up for sure.
@@johnyoungsman7752Then why wasn't the rest of the song out of tune?
Hey, the vocals were still miles better than anything Paul Stanley has done in the past 15 years. Pick your poison I guess. Drunk ace or Paul squawking
Paul squawking for $1000 Alex
@kboy1234 yeah, and $1000 is what those assholes will charge you to hear the squawking/karaoke show.....
It's a comedy show, but still much better than the current KISS line up...
@DarthShibby They will go as long as someone will have them... They will never retire... Too much easy money to be made...
I'd give him a pass on this one. Live, you mess up once and a while. Nowadays there are cameras everywhere. He might do 100 gigs perfect and this is what gets the headlines.
Totally hammered!
Wait Peter is still active? I thought he went on the down low.
@snakedriver Yep, Page is miles better as well.
hilarious comments Shane
Thanks Daniel, Compliments get you a heart and .......a thumb.
@@ShaneDiablo with this heart and thumb, I shall rule the world...😆
He is pretty old . A legend and one of my greatest guitar hero’s . No way I would pay money to watch him or Kiss . They had their time and it has clearly passed
Did he swich guitars right before this song?
It’s a Pity It’s a Pity to see my first Hero like this !
He should stop touring!
Ace was so good in the 70‘s and in the 80‘s & 90‘s !
even Anomaly from 2009 was an alright LP, not sure what happened besides maybe Ace getting notably older? I reaaallly hope he's not getting inebriated, he's too old for that
🤠 a rousing tribute to King Crimson!
Shows he is actually playing the guitar. Ppl make mistakes time to time. Rather see that then someone faking
Hey he has a guitar tech that's supposed to make sure his guitars stay in tune
guitar is in tune ace is simply playing in the wrong key his mistake
That other guitar player was already clapping before you can even hear the impending train wreck. He wasn't trying to distract from it. It was just a brain fart on Ace's part that he couldn't get of of quickly.
Like the sign used to say, and quoted from Fast Times at Ridgemont High, I ponder if the fish next garment would get one into the store with the sign “No shirt, no shoes, no…”; you know the rest!
OMG
This is a like a scene out of Spinal Tap and Ace looks like Nigel Tufnel when the air report was coming thru his guitar speakers.
I guess PAUL STANLEY WAS RIGHT WHEN HE SAID NO PISS
I just saw him in Ct. Same thing..
Ace is supposedly sober these days, but he may have just damaged so many brain cells there's no saving him. He's burnt. This whole Kiss franchise and all of its hangers-on just need to call it a day and go home. Go crack a beer and celebrate an amazing career.
Ace has done more than all of us put together on this channel! He just had a moment! Get over it!
The moment has lasted many years.
Tech may have handed him the wrong guitar
He just feal the rythem wauw its tight and fit the moment
Yea, but that trout Ace is playin' has triple humbuckers man.
Does the song modulate and one of them forgot or was ace truly fucking up?
It's right here on the neck DUDE! Just laughing my ass off. Still
"im gonna clap. claps are always in tune!!"
What a shitshow, poor Ace 😂😂😂
OMG The man made a mistake. You get up their night after night and not make a mistake LOL he's human
I love Ace but it is TOTALLY time for him to retire
the original Catman, Ace Frehley!
Its Time to Retire ..............
ITS ALL ACE here. Those other two are pro's
Hey Shane you are funny AF! That Ace Band choreography is so half assed, no alacrity at all!
Tell me again why he's not playing the end of the road tour
Shane i said it before and i will say it again
your one funny dude love your humour my man
keep it up and god bless you!
He's a 2000 man🩸💋🔥👽
Sadly, soooooo Spinal Tap, but I do love me some Space Ace anyway!
Do you think he (Ace) can hear that he is off tune?
Ole Ace is what like 75 now? He has to be about 75ish...
His Cherry Medicare Video is pretty groovy although it's quite hilarious.
Ace still is doing it.
I read a book one of his exes wrote. It was nuts!
hillarious!
Thank you! 🏆
YOU JUST SOOOOOO JEALOUS 😂LOL ALL TALK !! ALL JUST TALK !!
You shouldn’t make a joke of this, it’s sad and I feel bad somewhat for the fans that paid that night.
Saw ace last April the show was fine met him after
He's not even playing his signature series gibson
Oh yeah!
It was probably just a slow moving brain fart that he couldn't find his way out of very quickly. It happens to the many seasoned pros. Nobody is absolutely perfect all of the time.
And they do it all for about 200 bux per person a show.
People love ragging on Ace. Why? It's rock and roll, man! He sounded ok.
I always found it funny back in the day the posers talking shit about bands and particular musicians saying this guy sucks that band sucks and never picked up an instrument in their life
Les Pauls are notorious for not being able to stay in tune for extended lengths of time, at least the older ones.
My 1972 Les Paul stays in tune almost all night
Heavy Metal News Snacks. TM that immediately my man.
