The first part she used reverb. Nevertheless shes amazing
That was no reverb that was a effect called voice box, it sounds similar to Autotune, but doesnt change the notes, it just gives them a robotic and crystal clear sound :)

I totally agree with you man mohd rafi !@ when i 1st seen this video i didnt recognize that the song was that of adele , just like what u' ve said , ( the 2 guys whose hosting this video ) i thought its different song then as its goes i realize that its that famous song of adele ; honestly speaking its like a better version of " Rolling in the Deep !@" that everyone will love & understand !@
KZ was extremely awesome with this epic performance but everybody needs to acknowledge that the band slayed it too...the rhythm section was flawless !!

yeah, the band played with such passion, enthusiasm and energy too. KZ's super perfomance brought the band also to another level. that was a truly thrilling collaboration. i am sure the band was also challenged into playing with such enormous and creative performance. they both felt the energy. :)
She's filipina, not Chinese, but you are right, very beautiful voice.
She has Chinese blood, from her last name, Tan Di Ngan, it seems one of her parents or may be both is Chinese descendant

@@gigidaracz626 Yes I believe so, her father confirm it during introduction of her family in the same show. well, I'm a fan, so I watched most of performances, and she is amazing artists, dare to improvise to make even better than originals. I don't really care about races, I really enjoyed her uniqueness and soft heart. I will visit her concert if she happens come to Jakarta.

Yeah, that's a totally new arrangement of this song, not easy to do. And also, this band/orchestra is world-class, they are seriously good.

shes completely change the music and create her own unique style better than original, the combination of jazz, pop, rap, soul, funky and chromatic voice scale ability which results a enormous and massive energy, purely badass!

KZ is definitely a creative soul. She arranged this rendition. She's known for making a salad of musical genres and packing it all in one performance. There's actually a deeper, sadder, almost tragic reason as to why she started experimenting with genres, but throughout that journey, she ended up LOVING this style and finding IDENTITY with it and so she continued doing it like it was her passion. This version of Rolling in the Deep is just one of the many songs you could say she almost re-made.
Proud Filipina here! and she's a Filipina as well. She really did great on her every performance. She's the royalty of music here in our country.

the most legit reaction and thoughts ive watched so far. i am happy that finally there is someone who was able to figure out the whole idea why KZ has that kind of into in this song. Most reactors would say that they didnt like the first part because of the robotic approach of KZ. They fail to realize that its part of building up the song until the guitar kicks in.

You have to see her do Say Something in Singer 2018 (90% acoustic) where she competes with professional singers including Jessie J every episode. Note though that for this episode she was suppose to sing a diff song but the NIGHT BEFORE the performance, she was instructed by the show to change it up and sing SAY SOMETHING instead. Rehearsed & arranged a few hours before performance, KZ went on till 5AM to do so. Btw -- she is our most versatile young performing artist to date. Thanks for the great reaction! More power!!!

OMG from start to finish KZ did not waste any part of this performance. It is so full of emotions. The audience and the contestants are all with her. I can’t stop watching this. I wish Adele would react to this. She would be very happy with KZ’s version.
Been watching this ever since i have heard it played it before and it still gives me goosebumps every timw i.hear her sing her own version of this song...the way she build up the tempo in the first part as if to entice you to hear more and then as the song goes on,she really kills it with her very own unique way of singing including the rap part..the last part really nailed it and really give credit to the whole performance. Its as if shes not competing but conducting her own concert to her hearts desire....BRAVO KZ, IM YOUR AVID AND LOYAL FAN since then...wew

Yes KZ likes to sing in different ways, styles. She said that the autotune is to get your attention. She clarify this in an interview. Acoustic, RnB, Rock, Jazz, Ballad, Pop, "Rap", Hip-hop, Country Rock, Soul etc KZ likes to combine these and sing it totally new.
KZ blew away a lot of the Chinese audience who had never met or heard a Philippine singer before. Well, I'm wasn't a fan of the autotune intro, but the sax and horns, and her singing and swag, we're phenomenal!! Love your reactions, guys!! 😉 🇵🇭❤️🇩🇪
kz is also a composer, she writes her own songs, and she can also re-arrange other songs according to her style.. she is unique really, especially when she had her first audition for the voice philippines.. that was her first performance
