When KZ sang a Mandarin song in episode 6 in the singer, i slowly appreciate chinese songs, and now that she's not only singing, she's rapping too in mandarin.. All i can say is that... she really can touch your hearts whatever language she's singing. She have that ability to convey the message of the song very well. She flashes the most brilliant smile at the end, what a performer. Not kidding, this is the best performer I've seen in a very long time, maybe the best ever. She sang an emotional ballad, she fired up the crowd with her own rock song, she can rap, sing pop, she can mix and match, everything she does is improved by the twist she adds, she has presence like nobody's business, she can play the guitar, she dances and moves like she was born to perform. In March of 1995 I took a vacation and I'm not sure exactly why but I chose to go to the Philippines. It was the best 3 weeks of my life. I absolutely loved the place, the people, and for a single man,...……….there are beautiful women everywhere you go. My wife was one of those women, and she is a truly special person. I met her the 2nd day there, and she was just like KZ more or less when I met her there in 1995. I had no idea at the time, but as I arrived in Manila on March 11th, 1995, a frail young boy of 16 years was in a dirty old gymnasium a mile from where I was staying,.... preparing for the 2nd fight of his career. He looked like he was 12 and he weighed just 97 lbs. He had to put some weight under his clothes to qualify as a fighter because 106 lbs. is the lowest allowable weight, and he was 8 or 9 lbs. under that. Despite being that small, he began knocking out opponents with a wicked straight left hand early on. At the time that a fighter has 6 or 7 fights, nobody knows anything about him, not even locally. Pacquiao was already attracting big crowds at that time due to his ability to KO others. He was filling auditoriums before he won any titles, and 24 years later he's still winning and in fact, at 40 he's taking on one of the toughest opponents in his career. Pacquiao and KZ, both charming individuals with other worldly talent and class.

I'm 64 yr old and since childhood when i first learned how to appreciate music i've been listening and watching good singers. i can say now, KZ is a unique and one of a kind singer. No wonder if some will do the same she does now. If you noticed they had started already in this competition. They just did not Rap but the emotions were there. Singing is not just having high pitch voice and KZ showed us how real singing is. Win or lose she is already here inside.

This performance really highlighted how talented and professional KZ is. Similar to her second performance on Episode 6, she did not have to sing in Mandarin; but that’s just how much she respects and loves her audience. Granted it was much better since she was in China, after all; but she still didn’t have to do that. KZ is known as the Soul Supreme Singer of the Philippines, because she never fails to express the story & emotion of each piece she performs. Personally, I feel that she shared that unique trait of hers in China, as well. KZ is really the underdog of this competition. She was competing against professional singers from different countries, some of whom already have a fan base in China. It also didn’t help that she doesn’t speak a word of Mandarin. Like her haters pointed out, KZ is a “nobody” in China and is only known in the Philippines. Sure, she may have had a small fan base online, but they didn’t exactly get a vote during the competition. As soon as the show posted the videos of her performances, the number of her international fans increased, and so did the ratings of the show. I think that’s something Singer 2018 didn’t expect. I can’t help but wonder whether posting performances she’s done outside the show, and footage of her “behind the scenes,” was simply to take advantage of the fandom around her. Anyway, I’m not hating… It was really just a thought. As soon as KZ joined the show, their ratings increased. That’s why I also wondered whether the whole elimination on Episode 9 was simply to milk the situation. I mean, they eliminated her, only to ask her back for a Farewell number on Episode 10; and then ask her to come back again for Episode 12 for some sort of Wild Card Round? Really? Is this strategy all for ratings? I’m sure the show doesn’t really care whether she wins or loses (why should they), as long as she keeps the ratings up. There was a time I wondered why they were giving her a hard time. I mean, how can she get a standing ovation on Episode 9, and then get eliminated? I mentioned the show giving her a hard time, simply because on Episode 7, where she sang “Say Something,” KZ prepared and rehearsed something else, but the people behind the show told her to change her song, the night before the show. THE NIGHT BEFORE! Can you imagine?!! Once she started rehearsing “Say Something”, they told her to change the arrangement again! They did the same thing when she sang “Real Gone.” They told her to sing a rock song. I guess they thought she would do terribly. Well, whether the show liked her or not, they can’t deny the fact that KZ has proven that she has a right to be performing on a stage. I mean, there’s a reason why it’s her videos that go viral. She joined the competition late, compared to the other contestants. Plus, she was only there for 5 episodes (+Ep. 10), but she showed the world how talented she is. Jeeezzzus! Her voice is absolutely beautiful. Not to mention the fact that, her musicality and versatility are undeniable. She can sing pop, ballads, rock, and is even talented (and courageous) enough to learn a song in another language! To top it all off, she can rap too! What else do we want from her?! I once watched an interview with her after she sang some mandarin song and i admired her wittines in her reply when she was asked if her mandarin interpretation was understood by the Chinese and she said she believed "Music transcends Language" she have shown so much emotion and passion in to the song which hopefully the people felt instead of hearing the words fluently. Yes, I agree with you that although she got eliminated but she sure did gain a lot from this competition what with her worldwide exposure showcasing her awesome talent and versatility doing covers but which she owns up because of her amazing and captivating rendition and version of each song! She does different genre in one song and how flawlessly she does it switching from one genre to another in a song! She really is incredible! She really does make us Filipinos proud! I'm 64 yr old and since childhood when i first learned how to appreciate music i've been listening and watching good singers.
i can say now, KZ is a unique and one of a kind singer. No wonder if some will do the same she does now. If you noticed they had started already in this competition. They just did not Rap but the emotions were there.
Singing is not just having high pitch voice and KZ showed us how real singing is.
Win or lose she is already here inside.

This performance really highlighted how talented and professional KZ is. Similar to her second performance on Episode 6, she did not have to sing in Mandarin; but that’s just how much she respects and loves her audience. Granted it was much better since she was in China, after all; but she still didn’t have to do that. KZ is known as the Soul Supreme Singer of the Philippines, because she never fails to express the story & emotion of each piece she performs. Personally, I feel that she shared that unique trait of hers in China, as well.
KZ is really the underdog of this competition. She was competing against professional singers from different countries, some of whom already have a fan base in China. It also didn’t help that she doesn’t speak a word of Mandarin. Like her haters pointed out, KZ is a “nobody” in China and is only known in the Philippines. Sure, she may have had a small fan base online, but they didn’t exactly get a vote during the competition. As soon as the show posted the videos of her performances, the number of her international fans increased, and so did the ratings of the show. I think that’s something Singer 2018 didn’t expect. I can’t help but wonder whether posting performances she’s done outside the show, and footage of her “behind the scenes,” was simply to take advantage of the fandom around her. Anyway, I’m not hating… It was really just a thought.
As soon as KZ joined the show, their ratings increased. That’s why I also wondered whether the whole elimination on Episode 9 was simply to milk the situation. I mean, they eliminated her, only to ask her back for a Farewell number on Episode 10; and then ask her to come back again for Episode 12 for some sort of Wild Card Round? Really? Is this strategy all for ratings? I’m sure the show doesn’t really care whether she wins or loses (why should they), as long as she keeps the ratings up.
There was a time I wondered why they were giving her a hard time. I mean, how can she get a standing ovation on Episode 9, and then get eliminated? I mentioned the show giving her a hard time, simply because on Episode 7, where she sang “Say Something,” KZ prepared and rehearsed something else, but the people behind the show told her to change her song, the night before the show. THE NIGHT BEFORE! Can you imagine?!! Once she started rehearsing “Say Something”, they told her to change the arrangement again! They did the same thing when she sang “Real Gone.” They told her to sing a rock song. I guess they thought she would do terribly.
Well, whether the show liked her or not, they can’t deny the fact that KZ has proven that she has a right to be performing on a stage. I mean, there’s a reason why it’s her videos that go viral. She joined the competition late, compared to the other contestants. Plus, she was only there for 5 episodes (+Ep. 10), but she showed the world how talented she is. Jeeezzzus! Her voice is absolutely beautiful. Not to mention the fact that, her musicality and versatility are undeniable. She can sing pop, ballads, rock, and is even talented (and courageous) enough to learn a song in another language! To top it all off, she can rap too! What else do we want from her?! LOL
I truly wish KZ well and look forward to her promising career. I can’t wait!

I once watched an interview with her after she sang some mandarin song and i admired her wittines in her reply when she was asked if her mandarin interpretation was understood by the Chinese and she said she believed "Music transcends Language" she have shown so much emotion and passion in to the song which hopefully the people felt instead of hearing the words fluently. I love KZ..and this song is felt more deeply and left the audience longing for more.
