Sam Okeyre is the name of the guy in green. He's Ghanaian based in Korea, he's an actor, and all-round entertainer. I remember the time he made headlines and was cancelled, wasn’t surprised tho.
Korean netizens are very strict and cancel culture is huge, and has been around in Korea for the longest; idols get cancelled for dating or even marrying (it’s getting better now), prior to the end of the last decade dating, relationships were no no no.
*I LOVE KOREA REGARDLESS* ,and definitely in my books to move there.
As an Asian person, I had grown up around a community that's very passive aggressive to other people of color. Especially dark skinned people. Many times Asians won't say what they are thinking to your face out of respect and not wanting to cause trouble. But when they are behind closed doors or in friendly private circles, all negativity and racism will pop out, sometimes in the worst ways. But this closet racism and negativity was more due to ignorance and bad experiences passed down by parents when dealing with certain poc. The newer generations are more open and are less likely to negatively perceive poc. My view is that things will change and hopefully for the better.
Love y'all's content. Would love to see more exploration of Asian cultures.
I definitely want to visit South Korea, one day.
No no China has the largest African/black population in Asia to extend that the city of Guangzhou is nicknamed ‘chocolate city’
About the culture appropriation and racial discrimination in Korea, there is a big chunk of the population that is aware of what they are doing. Especially the young generation, they have access to internet and are travelling more, they know what they shouldn’t say and do. There is even a Korean slur version of the n-word

I wanna second the first comment by shouting out Mike aka "Maniac". I knew him growing up. He was a lot older than me but he was like a cool older brother. My dad was in the US army so I went to school on the base he was at. I was in JROTC in school and Mike's father was the JROTC Sergeant/ instructer. I really respected him and he was a very great respectable figure. I'm always so proud and happy to see Mike's career in Korea!
The guy in green t-shirt is Sam Okyere(Ghanaian origin) he is well known celebrity in South Korea got his hands in movies and business
