Libya was destroyed purposly by the UN & the USA . They feared Gaddafis new African Gold backed currency. It was going to be the most powerful currency in the world . This video is misleading because it omits the fact that various countries including France and UK lauched missiles and fighters to overthrow this dictator without any plan to bring also some stability to this region. Today’s Libyan caos is these countries fault. Like what happened in Iraq.
Libya was destroyed because of these ignorant and foolish people, the peace of the people there was destroyed, there was free gas and electricity, now both things are no more, the people of Libya turned out to be very ungrateful who did not take care of a great leader like Gaddafi and Very brutally put to death. Why do you start the video by painting Kadhafi as a dictor as to insult this man from whom people of Libya received a higher quality of life then you see in so called democratic countries, which are in fact hypocritical?
Here's one. Gaddafi was a totalitarian dictator who robbed the people of Libya. He was a tyrant and used his secret police to silence any dissent. He funded terrorism across the globe.

I'm so glad someone is making videos like this; more people should know what is going on in the world! But, quick criticism: One should not downplay the role of the USA and EU in this. The "west" assisted by launching airstrikes and air-supiriority missions over Libya, against Ghadafi. I'm curious how influential that was, and if it gives the "west" any measure of responsibility there? Then again, Ghadafi had been so bold as to try and sell RPGs to Chicago gangs... but that's unrelated, for some reason. One could connect the two, and say that the "west" is only responsible for stopping a criminal... I suppose?
Probably not, the fighting had been raging for months, either the war would of dragged on and more people died or the ended quickly via the no fly zone. Nothing really changes except death toll, the intervention reduced that in the short term but there was no peacekeeping force afterwards
@@salokin3087 Sounds about right, from what little I know. If it where more influential, would that give the "west" more responsibility? I guess that kind of idea comes off as some sort of political illusion though... the "stated goal" of the airstrike would be all the responsibility politicians would be willing to take (maybe not even that). I just wish there were a better option... I largely suspect that Turkey has some pseudo-Imperial ambitions. Ironically, looking at his actions in the Mediterranean, I suspect that he wants to ensure his oil reserves BEFORE conducting his wider military plans. Getting the oil might be the prerequisite to further war, and not just the goal. I know Turkey has access to oil now, but maybe they want to ensure against a trade-embargo? I don't know most of the facts, btw... just spit-balling.
@@Zackaryyrakcaz Do yourself a favor and read Peter Zeihan's book "Disunited Nations" to better grasp Turkey's ambitions, point is, the regret western states had in the intervention was the lack of peacekeeping forces ala Kosovo
@@salokin3087 Thanks for the book recommendation! But why IS that the point? That point seems to assume that: A) That action would have successfully established a stable future regime, and not turned into a decades-long quagmire. B) That any countries would have gotten involved in the 1st place, if the plan included peacekeeping forces (This would have made everyone reluctant to even broach the subject of involvement). C) That I, personally, disagree with sending in peacekeeping forces. It would probably have been ideal, given all other information. I just don't see the relevance to what I said....
@@Zackaryyrakcaz the context was the UN Security council was working under R2P, they believed a massacre was imminent regardless of it being real or not. In that goal, it was succesful. Libya would be in a civil war irregardless of whether outside nations got involved
This was initiated by France. Kadaffi was collaborating with the Allies with the war on Terrorism . Paid restitution for the Lochabre bombing , gave up his weapons of mass destruction. They decided to drag some upset street vendor before their parliament to cry about his treatment. France, which likes to brag about their military prowess asked the US to military airforce to take out kadaffi 1970 soviet shoulder fired air defenses . Libya was a richest country in Africa, so who "the provocateur" that giving them a promise that would be a great if ghadafi die, as they said ghadafi was using cultural and religion issue to unifying every factions in Libya.
same thing is happening to chinese lol
Quite literally the only option left for Libya to survive in any way is its youth. If the young people are determined enough to make it a better place, they will. With the amount of corruption surrounding it right now (and many of its people, sadly) I don’t think anything is going to get better.
Please include flags of USA and UK into the list of Libyan attackers.
He's not a dictator
Libya was destroyed purposly by the UN & the USA . They feared Gaddafis new African Gold backed currency. It was going to be the most powerful currency in the world . And with that the GBP, Euro & US dollar would’ve plummet drastically since most people would start making trades using the African currency.
Wishful thinking without an ounce of evidence.
@@anthonymorris5084 Just like WMDs in Iraq. 🤡
You’re ignoring the fact that he was overthrown by his own people the US never set a foot in Libya.
@@banger2998 You’re ignoring the fact that Gadaffi was overthrown by a terrorist organization funded by the US
@@Ppstate32 a single organization can’t overthrown his government you’re ignoring the fact that the Libyan people overthrew him I don’t know why you try to hide it. The US just speed up the process by getting him out quicker.
Libya needs to restore the Monarchy for stability and unity, a figure to rally behind
What happened in Libya and Iraq show the importance of "Forgive and Forget" policy shown by Mandela.
I hate when people come to comment with zero knowledge. a Libyan
He was not a dictator he was savior of the people of lybia
By definition he is a dictator
He was a murderous tyrant.
This video is misleading because it omits the fact that various countries including France and UK lauched missiles and fighters to overthrow this dictator without any plan to bring also some stability to this region. Today’s Libyan caos is these countries fault. Like what happened in Iraq.
Nate. Bombed everything literally bombed gadaffis convoy as it made last attempts to flee. Didn’t want to make any deals or nada.
Egypt is under military dictatorship and it seek also military dictatorship in Libya....KSA is also under dictatorship
Libya was destroyed because of these ignorant and foolish people, the peace of the people there was destroyed, there was free gas and electricity, now both things are no more, the people of Libya turned out to be very ungrateful who did not take care of a great leader like Gaddafi and Very brutally put to death. The people of Libya will have to bear the consequences of this cruelty for years.
This wouldn't of happened if NATO haven't intervened. Sometimes we need to understand that there are dictatorships and democracies in the world. We can't just pressure others to adopt our way of life. That is racist. We also need to understand that it is best living under a stable dictatorship then living under a civil war.
You are absolutely right
Now we wish that the old dictator's would be back to rule us
Turkey is helping Libyans!!! Support Turkey from Poland!
You sure?
France and America invaded Libya, not the people.
Didn't realized that the situation was so bad in Libya
Why do you start the video by painting Kadhafi as a dictor as to insult this man from whom people of Libya received a higher quality of life then you see in so called democratic countries, which are in fact hypocritical?
They killed him because of Greed! Look at the country now! He’s gone and the country is a mess! I love Gaddafi
Greed? they killed him because he was a horrible man and if it weren't for the greedy west libya would be fine now
Hello I'm From Libya
Not a single anti gadaffi Comment in comment section ,this shows america did a big blunder
Here's one. Gaddafi was a totalitarian dictator who robbed the people of Libya. He was a tyrant and used his secret police to silence any dissent. He funded terrorism across the globe.
wait, Saudi Arabia is threatened by political Islam??!! I don't know whether to laugh or cry. If they didn't export their Wahabbism everywhere, the threat of political Islam would be far diminished in several parts of the world.
Why the EU. Have killed Gaddafi.
Libya belongs to all the Libyans, and not to all the scumes ,that are trying from, other country's to suck for their interest.
I think only Gaddafi' was for the Libyans.?
At 7:50 “ live us alone “ lols , leave us alone . What happened to lovely Libya is a nightmare, more worse than that is everyone wants to take advantage of the situation. Consequently, Libyans are suffering, so please leave us alone and mind your business. Libya will be good again.
That point seems to assume that:
A) That action would have successfully established a stable future regime, and not turned into a decades-long quagmire.
5:33 aww German Wave doesn't want to put their EU partners in the same picture with Russia 😃 Where did France and Greece go? 🕵
RIP Gaddafi he wasnt the enemy after all
HE IS BRINGING BACK OUR LONG LOVED SOCALISM
Libya can’t be united unless the western interference is not around
And Europe sat and watched all this happen from the sidelines?
This was initiated by France. Kadaffi was collaborating with the Allies with the war on Terrorism .
Paid restitution for the Lochabre bombing , gave up his weapons of mass destruction.
They decided to drag some upset street vendor before their parliament to cry about his treatment.
France, which likes to brag about their military prowess asked the US to military airforce to take out kadaffi 1970 soviet shoulder fired air defenses . Then France blantently violated the U.N. resolution and shipped arms to Libya. CIA had nothing to do with this , this was strictly French Parliament in collaboration with the U.S. state department .
We look at these countries and wonder at the mess that they are. And yet, we see a mild version of this in the USA now. Fragmentation is not as extreme as Lybia (for sure) but it is becoming more and more extreme.
He was real builder of Libya. People were prosperous during his tenure of regime. All things told against him
are lies. But the propenda against him all over the world is on high level.
West responsible for this
France ,Saudi Arabia U.A.E , Greece , US these countries help Haftar
If they were to split, what year would it be
Another NATO classic 👌🏾
All of this caused by you ! The Nato forces and the security council , Europe will suffer for decades by the African immigrants till all Europe turns bronze 😂
Libyan people do not divide into tribes please,This is your weakness, If you do so, you will be divided and it will weaken you against the infidels who are your enemies. Be united and hold tight to the rope of Allah.Salvation is in this.
What tribes are they talking about when Lybia is dominated by Arabs?
What bulldust reporting DW. Where is the part about NATO's no fly zone and France and US support for the uprising?
Libya needs to be free
I see a potential peace accord as the only solution at this point, between the two groups.
This show is so informative!
It is all about Oil.
You reap what you sow America
Its called a partition treaty. Just cut it up and make it West Libya and East Libya like it was in Germany
There's always going to be the usual comments, but know that dictatorships rarely end peacefully like in Ghana, usually they die or there's a civil war/uprising
Can someone tell me what Tunisia's views are on this matter? I have to write an analysis but cannot find any information whatsoever.
It's never about the people. But about control and money everything else is second.
This was the final result apart in pieces Good for Libyans for ever
Why isn't the main message of the video .. regime change is never a good answer?
Exactly
Skip to 5:10 to save yourself from the immigration crying and actually learn about the 2 factions...
No it was eu and Neto
Lots of western haters blaming France, USA, etc. But somehow they miss Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE.
Go figure.
USA Democracy 😂😂😂
All thanks to US and NATO
Thank you to America, which spread democracy in Libya, made it a terrorist land, and divided it into three countries
Would the Derna Dam have collapsed during the time of Gaddafi
"Militarist nationalist" camp?? You mean dictatorial nationalist camp right? lol
Funny thing is this clip 0:10 was a gathering in 2011 for gaddafi the “dictator” lmao they’re literally carrying the green flag
Exactly 😂
Gaddafi was the greatest thing that happened to Libya. Rip Gaddafi Libya is suffering from KARMA for siding with Nato and the West to destroy their own country.
If they are good enough to save their people in their place, they should take one part like the have right now and people is dying, VS having the same territory, helping theirs and match on an economical way. The most powerful one would take the control of if. It will be a gentleman's Pact. Or just finish keeling eachother.
