How to use new controllers with older games - PS4/PS5 with PC

If you can't map/use/bind PS4 or PS5 controller with older games,here is how to on Windows 7/10.
Some old games do not work with new controllers, especially the ones with new functions like touch pad, this video helps you work around that anomaly.

No way. I was messing around with DS4 for hours last night and my wiresless PS5 controller wasn't being detected on any PC game (it worked wired). All i had to do was go the other tab and change from DualShock to Xbox 360 (even tho it's not a 360 controller) and it works on all my PC games now. You dont have to change it if it's connected via usb tho, it's weird. I've watched so many DS4 videos trying to figure it out and yours is the only one that mentioned the virtual controller settings.

I can't get my ps4 controller to work on resident evil 5 on pc while being wired...I'm working with DS4...it works with resident evil 6 though

Tnx I can confirm that it's working with the PS5 dual sense controller, but I can't move diagonally on my D-Pad any idea how to fix that? And yeah I came here because I had the same problem with my RE3 Nemesis PC game :D

It doesnt work with a godfather game,it detects the controller but just doesnt let me use it

Does this work with ps 2 controller

Ps2 controllers work without this, all you need is an adapter, I suggest using "blue triangle dongle for ps2/ps1", google it to see what it is.
