- Just doing my bit to raise awareness of DTG's important announcement regarding Caltrain content in Train Sim World 5. It was included in their latest roadmap article.
For future reference, this video was made three weeks before the 'Peninsula Corridor - San Francisco to San Jose', 'Caltrain MP15DC' and 'Caltrain MP36PH-3C' add-ons were discontinued. Игры
Major shame about the CalTrain addons in TSW. I just wish that we could have got a remastered version of Peninsula Corridor...
These clowns need to remaster Peninsula Corridor. Maybe introduce the EMUs but also have the MP36s with the rebuilt F40PH-2Cs and an extension to gilroy. It’s very achievable but they’re focused on SoCal so much
They can't create the emus if the license expired buddy. Those trains too require licensing. License gives them access to the locos but they no longer can.
They can't achieve anything without a license
I asked someone at Amtrak not too long ago and he said that DTG still has Amtrak license, unless that was a fairly recent development
someone lied to him thank got the Amtrak licensing isn’t removed 😮💨
call this prediction stupid if u want: maybe dtg are working with caltrain for a modern version of the route, but one of the conditions was not selling the old route anymore
Maybe in this case, Caltrain asked for the addons to be removed, but in the case of GWR, they just did not care and just let it be on. That is my guess, but I again haven't heard anything about losing the Amtrak licence until now. DTG also likely lost the SNCF licence...not surprising consiering the LGV route
I can’t thank you enough brother.
This is probably happening due to the retirement of all existing CalTrain Rolling stock and diesel motive power on the route in reality, the F40s and Gallery Coaches are gone, and most of the Bombardier Coaches and Baby Bullets are gone too, not sure about the MP15DCs but in short, Diesel is mostly gone on Peninsula Corridor and that probably plays a part to this.
It’s a licensing issue
@ well obviously, but the electrification probably plays a part in it, all of the CalTrain motive power and Rolling stock in the game are no longer in service at all on the IRL route, that’s what I was getting at.
Bombardiers and MP36’s aren’t gone, it’s just the gallery and the EMD F40’s
@@sixfifty_sebb He said "most of the Bombardier Coaches and Baby Bullets are gone." Not all.
The MP36s & Bombardier cars are now only used from San Jose to Gilroy. So they're not used on the main San Fran - San Jose portion anymore.
I'm hoping that DTG can at least bring the MP15DC back as some silly gameplay pack because it's currently at the moment the only American end cab shunter in the game.
I think it's clear to everyone why DTG is losing more and more licenses. Because the railway companies dont want to support DTG's disgusting DLC policy! Also: have you seen the first pictures of the London Overground Mildway Line in the February roadmap? The one you titled "is this a joke"? It's going to be awesome! There are even layers of the Elizabeth Line and the London Docklands Light Railway...
2:32 Just to clarify, DLC has been discontinued before (CSX GP40-2, NEC: New York and SW1000R) but not because of licensing.
I heard about Dovetail losing the GWR license, but where did you hear about them losing the Amtrak license? That’s news to me.
I can't remember who told me; suppose I should've said in the video that I don't remember if it was actually true. If it is, then it would explain why we haven't had anymore Amtrak stock in TSW since the Acela.
@@DC4260ProductionsAll Dovetail now needs is a Metra lisence
Does this mean I can’t use my route anymore?
No. People who already own these add-ons won't be affected by their discontinuation.
I own the route for the original Tsw (TSW 2020) does this mean I will still.have the route? Or will it be removed from my copy of the game automatically?
1:11 Bro went weeeeeeeee!!! 😂
With how often this happens, I kinda wish they just stopped branding locos at all and just made it easy for players to stick the logos on them if they want.
Right on! Hell yeah!
No license = no access to rolling stock schematics or photographs, sound recordings or feedback from the operators on what to add/remove, learning the signaling and safety systems. Licensing is more than just branding
@@potatoman451 Yeah... that too. No branding would make it 10x easier to get a license though, probably.
@@KirillShore says who. It wouldn't make it any easier if the operator says no at the end of the day
It’s a big shame, this happens a lot in racing games which is why those games are delisted after a certain amount of time. For example Forza Horizon 4 was recently delisted due to an agreement in licenses
What do you think about Mittenwaldbahn at this moment?
Let me know when they're on sale hahahaha
my dreams are crushed
I’m curious, when i upgrade to a series X but have had peninsula as the only route I owned in tsw2020 will I lose the Caltrain livery’s once upgrading?
They said nothing about losing the actual livery
if you own this version before its delisted it will be un affected. they may bring back the route unbranded but probably as a different dlc so people that didnt buy it prior will still be able to play it..
I’m still salty they never added the route to gilory
The main problem would be the lack of traffic for all the trackage. There's very few passenger services that stop there.
Snagged all the content for this route from their original release dates. Totally sgree about the scenery at some parts but Peninsula Corridor remains a personal fave route of mine.
I highly recommend anyone to snag it if its getting its price reduced before total withdrawal
Is DTG milking this news to make more money by leaving the two locos (released years ago) at full price while most everything else is on sale!!!
It's a separate sale from festival of rail. They've already explained it in the roadmap. So after festival of rail is over and before it gets taken off, it'll start going in sale
I havent even bothered to get tsw5 yet, I stopped at TSW3 and still enjoy playing it, I only go back to play TSW1 for the unique fact that it has the NEC New york route, I have tried TSW4 only because it was on gamepass
TSW5 was free for a while, how come you missed that? It was talked about everywhere?
So hopefully they give it away and don't delist it fully
One day after my birthday the addons they gone
I can’t be bothered to buy this because I’m not a fan of us routes
This was my very first and only route I had from tsw2020 and back then was not a fan of the old camera style but a couple years later during tsw3 era I went crazy with getting DLCs routes and add ons. I’m a states player and I’ll say we get freaking shafted badly. Germany and England are treated like the only countries on the planet that get monthly DLC’s for them totally biased treatment to them to. States players we get maybe 2-4 locos a route and constantly livery’s from other routes aren’t brought into even the new routes and freight is made as an after thought and I’m a heavy haul freight player. I’m not saying I don’t like German and British routes though, I’ve been honestly running German routes more than anything lately, and although I personally think British motive power to look like literal toys there’s some solid routes and I own all of the BR era DLC’s except the Preston-Carlisle which I’ll wait for a better sale on. I’m also highly looking forward with excitement for the new German route with the krokidile as the route itself looks beautiful and heavily focused on switching industries or yards that’s truly my favorite part of railroading but again states players get absolutely shafted even harder on that than we already do.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA DTG clowns deservedly losing licences. Even big faceless corporations want to distance themselves from these weirdos.
You think of nothing but the worst don't you
