A very accurate description of what happened. Unlike India, the people of Pakistan portrayed this revolution the right way. Bangladesh should build a better relationship with Pakistan, instead of India from now on. We have a bad history, however, the new generation is different. Pakistani youth and Bangladeshi youth are on the same page.

Ask an ordinary Pakistani Punjabi. What they are doing in Belochistan. Same thing that they did to bangladeshies . These all love fake talk is good on social media but reality is different. A pakistani dont see Bd people as equal. if Islam was only binding glue the Bangladesh would not exist. Obviously pakistanis will support whats happening in bd cuz they family that was forefront of bangladesh liberation was targeted.
But if pakistanis specially punjabis where so nice why they are doing genocide in Belochistan? 2 days ago Beloch rebels killed 50+ pakistanis. Why they are protesting for decades for a different nation? Belochistan is the largest part of Pskiatan. So first go & learn history & current affairs. Pakistanis havent changed a bit.

It's a great interview with a broad overview of how things developed. But unless you lived in Bangladesh and watched the whole thing unravel, it's very hard to get a proper analysis of how the events took place one after another. One thing I can clearly say as a witness and somehow part of the movement myself, that there is no way an outside power could fund and create this type of uprising. It's utterly impossible. You cannot make thousands of people stand before bullets without any fear for their life with any kind of scheming. People of Bangladesh literally had enough. They were just waiting for a stage like this to come up so they can join and spit out their anger, frustration and extreme hatred towards the ruling party. So in short, this was inevitable. If it didn't happen in July over Quota movement, it would have surely happened over some other issue in near future.

  • @neko7981

dunno if others will agree but i have an issue with the gdp issue.
not just bangladesh- the world went through a huge change last dacade. bangladesh cause of its demography and geography is a hub with immense economic potential- along with globalization and internet allowing diverse work opportunity bangladesh was a lucrative place for foreign investments and loans. so gdp increase is a given and infrastructural development at ridicules rate were still funded by the international community despite active loan defaulting. so the gdp increase gets a slight controversial accreditation to hasina under 'she could have stopped from happening it if she/india wanted but allowed it' instead of 'facilitated it'

Bangladesh was already in a road of success from 1990s and onwards.
Hasina injured our economy via multiple multi billion dollar loan for every mega project she did.
She did quite a handful of these mega projects in the last few years.
Not to mention causing price hikes multiple times through syndicates ever since 2020, causing people's savings to dwindle.
Then 150 billion USD that they smuggled through Bangladesh Bank alone in the last 15 years.
They smuggled more through other means, but we cannot track it down easily.

    • @Wakilahmed-d3t

The only reason our economy was afloat was due to remittance, without remittance every other indicator of economic growth was negative since the last few years.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Research Society of International Law for conducting such a profound and eye-opening interview on the Gen Z revolution in Bangladesh. The depth of analysis on every aspect of the situation, especially the coverage by Indian media and the associated propaganda, was truly insightful and thought-provoking. The interview also effectively highlighted the cracks in India's foreign policy, particularly its support for the Hasina regime, which has not only stifled the Gen Z movement but also alienated the Bangladeshi public. The overwhelming resentment towards India, with a significant portion of the population harboring negative sentiments due to this support, was made strikingly clear.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Oves Anwar for his exceptional contribution to this interview. His meticulous analysis and articulate explanations provided a profound understanding of the complexities surrounding the Gen Z revolution. Mr. Anwar's expert insights and thoughtful commentary were instrumental in elucidating the broader implications of the situation, and his expertise added a significant depth to the discussion. His work not only shed light on the nuances of the current crisis but also offered valuable perspectives on the geopolitical ramifications involved.

I'm giving a dislike because you brought in a guest and are discussing a situation without having proper oversight and knowledge.
