- The redesigned Tucson and Hyundai is bringing a lot of what they learned with the Palisade to this small SUV for 2022. On the outside you will find a physically larger Tucson. The Limited trim comes with 19in wheels, dark chrome grill and panoramic sunroof. On the inside you will be greeted to an all new interior with integrated 10.25in infotainment screen & gauge cluster, heated & ventilated seats, and tons of interior space. Under the hood is a 2.5L inline-4 that now produces 187HP & mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the NEW 2022 Hyundai Tucson the BETTER compact SUV to BUY?

Great! Good luck with it. Funny about the "no food" in it. I have an 18 Elantra SE with the manual transmission. It's Electric Blue, and I have matching towels laid out all over the place. I don't want to see a piece of dust. I even drive with a blue dust cloth so I can drive and dust at the same time! You need to do the same! Haha! Give an update on your new Tucson!
Thinking about getting one, had a 2019 Elantra value edition, was in a accident and car was totaled so I’m in the market for a new car again *sigh*

Girlfriend suggested we look at this one and it looks amazing. Initially, I was looking at the Rogue and CRV but this interior has them beat by miles. It's our choice after all the reviews and searches. Taos had a sales hold, Seltos has engine recall and overheating issues, CRV has a dated infotainment system, and Rogue as a neat interior but slow engine. This is it. Tucson. Thanks Raiti. Best reviews. Just don't watch them hungry, the guy loves talking snacks.

I really enjoy watching your reviews. There is always a certain amount of 'miss-out' anxiety when your ready to pull the trigger on a new vehicle. I was experiencing this a couple months ago when I was ready for a new ride. The Tucson was one I wish I could have seen... But after this review, I definitely have no regrets with my choice... The 2021 CX5 Signature...
A lot of people won't appreciate this, but the complexity of the door/fender stampings and how well they line up is incredible at this price point. That's something you'd typicaly only see Lexus or Acura attempting.

Great overall design inside and out. Can’t wait for the N Line model. And yes, I’m a fan of the gauge cluster set up with that 10.25” screen. Other automakers are already beginning to do the same especially some luxury automakers. Shout out to Lori on the camera work!

Got the blue. My dog is getting jealous because now I sit in the garage and stare at it instead of petting her.
Just look at the driver's dash from the outside at the start and notice how flat it is, then the center console is so smooth you can swipe your hand down from top to bottom. I really like its interior.

Thank you Raiti's Ride and Lori for the great detail viewing of this vehicle. I was looking into the Santa Fe, but once I saw this had to go look at it myself. I love the color which is called Intense Blue and got into the 2022 Tuscan Limited with the grey/grey leather interior. It does lack a little on the horse power, but all in all its a great looking vehicle different body style. In which I'll take over the Rav4, Highlander, Nissan Pathfinder, or the Honda CR-V. About the front screen I actually love it, (NO ZONK)!!

Hyundai's making some good strides with their vehicles. Loving the DRL's. That gauge pod looks fine, (which is weird for me lol). It's super clear, and a good size, nothing wrong with that. The integrated infotainment looks great. More HP is needed, for sure. Lori, as always, thank you for everything you do!

I got a 2022 Limited and love most everything about it. Comfortable, quiet, good warranty and lots of luxury features at a great price. I even got a hitch for kayak trailer.
This redesign is one of the most radical I’ve ever seen. It’s a beautiful cohesive design (In the eye of the beholder). I owned the last generation Limited, and this new model is significantly bigger. Like 6 inches longer. Major thumbs up to the 10.25” instrument cluster.

@@mikeshare56 I believe there’s wireless carplay if you go with the 8 inch screen. What I don’t understand is why they can’t implement it to the 10 inch screen. 🤷🏽♂️
@@yanbu30 there are good explanations for it on other channels if you do a little research. It’s just not really possible yet because if screen size and technology.

This is the very first time I've dropped onto your channel, my friend, and I am going to "Subscribe" (no brainer) because, honestly, I've never seen or heard *anyone* do a review like you just did on this Hyundai. Maybe a little heavy on the styling/architecture end of things for me (I tend to be more mechanical) but HEY, I'm very, very impressed with the amount of information and just over the top, incredible detail you put into your review! I mean, seriously! Great job!! You got me thinking I gotta get down to my local Tucson dealer to check this ride out in person, because maybe it's going to be my next ride!
Joe, I test drove this Hyundai Tucson Limited today! Wow, I thought it was great. Great design, great ride. Cool features. And……;you were right. When I got in the car and looked at the bin in the middle, I thought to myself, “ Joe was right…..,you CAN get an entire box of Twinkies in there!” this one is definitely on my short list for my upcoming compact SUV purchase. Hope the car industry gets back on track soon. Bring on the CHIPS!!! (Computer chips, Joe, not Pringles…….just sayin’)
I think you left out that the rear seats have two stage heating. Let's be real - this Tucson has more tech than the CRV, CX-5 and Rav-4. This car is beautiful. I can't wait until the hybrid and PHEV version. I'd love to take one of those home
The multi air feature is very unique as well.
And it doesn't have that CVT engine like the CRV.

As part of your standard engine bay overview, I would love it if, whenever it's printed on the oil filler cap, you'd read us what the oil spec is that's printed on the oil filler cap. Or hover over it for a sec so we can read it (sometimes the print is too small to make out). You do a great job, Joe!

That's what I'm looking to buy as well. I just would prefer to have the leather shift knob instead of the buttons, but I want the panoramic sunroof. If I can somehow get that with all the packages on the SEL Hybrid I would be sold.
I’m digging the new design and Hyundai’’s push for even better quality materials. The new Tucson has a very modern looking exterior and interior styling. I love the fabric integrated on the dashboard and doors. Faux leather would make the surface texture too similar to the rest of the car, making it look too bland. The digital gauge and middle screen are fantastic, and only fancier cars carry them. The resolution on both screens are amongst the highest in the industry. I wish the automobile industry got rid of the arch that surrounds the gauge cluster. I also wish other cars had the blind spot cameras option. The only items I am zonking are the touch controls and the front middle AC vents. Lastly, shoutout to Lori for her great camera work. She always captures the best angles and areas curious car enthusiasts want to see.

Just bought this car, used obviously, and sure enough, a full box of Twinkies in the center console. Love your work, stay cool!
It's a gentle zonk on that dash monitor... it looks super functional, turning signals are cool, just would be nice to have it more seamlessly integrated into the dash. I'd like to know what you get with the base model. Honestly, like to see that for every mainstream ride you review. Base and loaded version evaluation, like what you did with the Bronco Sport!!

Base model offers nothing but the exterior. SEL with convenience package is a minimum.

I appreciate the Gauge Cluster Joe. It’s simple and clean and more importantly I like to see Hyundai trying new things even if it’s a slight miss because they can refine it over time. I’m kind of bored of the classic way cars have been designed inside & out. It’s fresh here. There’s no perfect design, I see things here that I’m not crazy about but I think the South Koreans will have an easy hit on their hands with this 2022 Santa Fe! Lori did great on camera and Joe you did a great job with bringing this new model to us! Look forward to seeing you on the next ride!

I like this modern style, really fits the next gen of vehicles. I wonder if the digital screens are durable as they are long lasting enough to not have issues in between maintenance. It's a pretty bold move to go all digital for the dashboard
That's scary, especially on really hot days. If it lasts for 100k with no glare then I would be good with it. I guess time will tell.
I just bought one. My only zonk is I wish it had more HP! Otherwise it's a great vehicle. Hyundai makes a solid,nice vehicle in the Tucson

I say no zonk on the gauge cluster. That sunken screen looks tasteful and modern. Opens up the entire dashboard and keeps it flat and clean. I dig it.

And I was wondering why the rear end design of the Tucson looked so familiar, and then you said Mach-E (chicken teriyaki) and I was like that's it! Great review! Actually Getting the Hybrid later in the year to replace a leased '18 CX-5, the hybrid has a little more oomph (probably what you're looking for) from what I saw in the other reviews.
I've been looking forward for this video for a long time! Love the overall design; the excessive amount of that piano black is a concern long-term, though.
