This is the only video I've seen where another deli gets driven like I drive mine, freaking love it!!!
I've had the same delica for 12 years now. I've both neglected it, and spent a lot of money on it. I've always been delicate with it while 4x4ing. Not doing anything over the top. I've always felt like it's not particularly capable, and very top heavy (doesn't help that I have a roof top tent on it).
I accidentally took it through 20km of hard 4x4ing last year. Thought it was going to be an easy track.... it wasn't.... but I had to commit. Deep mud, steep, deep rutted roads, water crossings, shit I would have never planned on doing. I expected to get seriously messed up, and was kinda white knuckling the whole way, but it got through it all like an absolute CHAMP! Hadn't even let the tyres down.
I am also a delica owner here in the Philippines and I'm so amazed and proud owning after I saw your OFF ROAD challenge on it. WOW!! More power and more videos BNB .TAKE CARE ALWAYS!!!!

Our Delica did the OTT with out a problem. We almost drove Palm Creek, just had to be winched the last half meter. You might see it in our Cape York teaser.

I had not heard of a Delica until I saw ur budget builds episode & I thought NO Way this thing could do so much, I am truly impressed, everything about it just looks wrong for 4x4, and here we are. Good episode guy’s, funny, Go Team Delica!
I would rather see old 4bys getting wheeled then the 79/200/y62/300 giveaways and dual cab chops and cape York trips good to see youse are out there having some good fun!

Guy if you watch the videos from fire to fork he did the cape in his delica with very little issues. It amazed all guys in there utes and rams.
Had a Delica when I done my East coast trip was a well good fun van to take off road and sleep in everyday!

Should have hooked the recovery rope to the left side it's bolted in 2 places the right is only bolted in 1 place
I have to admit, that I have noticed myself giving delicas the side eye when I see them now

Wowowowowo, super carefull with the front recovery please. Those are just tie down points and i have seen quite a few of these "bull bars" flying off during recoverys

Are those GU Patrol wheels in the front? I think rear as well because they are different but the fronts especially!
I have 2 Delica's 93/94 models one is my wheelchair van/camper van the other is a running parts van both 4x4 turbo diesel.
A mechanic to help me get my good van running properly would be nice to have.
The recovery part was a bit dangerous with the bull bar snapping.

mate please put some seatbelts on… not wearing them on that first descent starting at 6:19 was pretty dumb. Things can go pear shaped very quick and nothing worse then losing control all because your passenger goes flying into you.
My L200 ute got sandwiched in a crash. I just cut the front off and put a front on from a 2wd and she is good to go. It would have driven away from the crash that wrote off a Prado. 92 triton is tough as. Got her back on the road now. Written off but they don't record it. My body has some issues but the ute is fine.

The old L300 van was like a truck with a van body. I think the Delica would go well.
Shame dont see more of these, and the Gen2 pajero on more youtube stuff.. no one seems to touch them. I have both in England, the 2.8td ones. I am getting totally fed up with the is it.. 24/7 off roading videos. all the same stuff, top end gear spent on it, and they take along those that sponsor and give them lots of stuff etc. Rather see normal vehicles with mods done by the owners and at times not the most expensive etc... and used for trips off roading rather than just rock climbing etc. its how i came across this channel not too long ago.. pretty cool

I rented one of these from that company that has the graffiti all over the van for tourists. We took it onto an abandoned mine site north of Coolgardie, took the wrong track in, lost 2 tyres on the land cruiser getting up there but the delica made it no worries. Got into Kal the following evening and noticed the entire roof had buckled due to the flex and bend. Wondered what that popping noise was. Returned it to the rental company in Perth and the guy comes out to inspect the van and he's like 5ft tall. Walks around and ticks it all off.. sweet... out of there. I apologise to the Dutch backpackers who took the van after us, they would of got pinned for that shit I'm sure 🤣
