Hi! Love the profile pic . . . the cake really won't bind as well, nor taste as good without the pea protein so I can't really suggest a good substitute. If you pop onto my website and click on ingredients, there's a link there to where I get my pea protein from. You can easily make your own pea protein. All you need are the dried peas and a high speed blender. Research before you make it though, as it's said that some pea can be harmful to health if eaten raw. I know in this case it wouldn't be eaten raw, but I'm just saying.

Hi Nancy, I think it's because you aren't in the UK. You can get Pea Protein from most wholefoods stores now (it's even in some UK supermarkets). They generally have similar or the same protein content so there's no specific brand I would recommend. Hope you get to make the carrot cake! It's delicious! Mike xx
