Storm Shadow and Spirit have to be 1 and 2 in my book just because the rivalry back in the day. It got outshined by the Storm Shadow Snake Eyes rivalry but being of Native American heritage on my father's side I really loved the episodes with Spirit because he looked just like my Grandfather.
Are each figure really $45 each ?

Great list. I didn't buy Mindbender and my Serpentor hasn't arrived. But all those are great. I would include the BAT in my Top ten.

Great video. At one point with the need to cut back I stopped collecting GI JOE but I'm back in because it's such an awesome line and I love army builders. So my list is limited in that I didn't get figures like Mindbender, Serpentor or any of the Tiger Force figures.
10. Cobra Officer - Lots of reuse but I love the army builders and the classic blue Cobras
9. Snake Eyes & Timber repaint - I know a lot of people rolled their eyes at this one and I did too at first, but the more I looked at it the more I wanted it. Love this version of Snake Eyes with the mask and brown colors and the white Timber just pops. Love the animal packs in general.
8. Zarana - yeah, just a surprisingly great looking figure. Extra hair was such a good inclusion.
7. BAT (original version) - Definitely my favorite of the BATs and I have a few of them.
6. Cobra Viper 3-pack - I'll just include the three or technically 2 figures together. Only could get one of the original Target Vipers so it was good to get these in the collection. Love the Vipers.
5. Croc Master & Fiona - yes, can't believe how this just sits on the shelves. Again love the animal packs and both figures are amazing. Hoping to get a second set on clearance.
4. Storm Shadow - probably my favorite character in the JOE universe. Felt like it took too long for Hasbro to make him, but in the end they made a perfect figure.
3. Sgt. Slaughter - Yeah, so many great Sarge figures from Mattel and I picked up a Valaverse too. Excellent. The Mattel Ultimate Edition is still my favorite but this is a very close second.
2. Crimson Guard - My focus is more on the army builders and this is my favorite one yet I think. I've only had one in hand for a few days but I just love the helmet and the red, silver and black colors looks fantastic together. Great weapons and he looks awesome carrying them.
1. Spirit & Freedom - The Spirit figure looks great on its own, and then you throw in Freedom and how he can sit on his shoulder or forearm. Just looks incredible. This is one of my favorite figures of 2022 across all lines.
Stormshadow is my number 1 just because I've been waiting on a 6in Stormshadow so long, and hasbro really made us wait. I would definitely prefer the retro carded version, but this one will do.
I'm still debating my number one between three figures, but Storm Shadow is one of them
My list goes like this:
Honorable Mention: Sgt. Slaughter (wish they would have had two head sculpts with the glasses attached and gave him a M16 instead of the AK-47 it would have been one of my top picks)
10. Dr. Mindbender (low on my list because I never liked this figure as a kid but he looks good in my collection)
9. Kamakura (I love everything ninja so it was inevitable that this would be in my list, excellent head sculpts, colors and is awesome in the comics)
8. Spirit Iron-Knife (low on my list because of the Joe Pro that he has, wish they would get rid of them all together)
7. Alley Viper (love the colors and accessories, they really pop in my collection)
6. Cobra Officer (probably my favorite troop builder released so far)
5. Retro Gung-Ho (so happy they released him in his original colors, couldn’t ask for more)
4. Zarana (love the two hair sculpts and really nice to have more Dreadnoks)
3. Storm Shadow (one of my top 5 favorite figures of all time, can’t wait for the retro version to come out)
2. Serpentor (hated him as a kid but damn this figure looks so good on his air chariot and on my shelf, so nice)
1. Tiger Force Outback (my favorite Joe of all time, the head sculpt is just amazing. The Tiger force logo is great, and the true leader of G.I. Joe after Duke…lol)
For me I love this entire line it's hard to pick because here we have Joe figures with well crafted military accessories. It's the fully realized idea of this line.

4)storm shadow -a combination of a figure done so well that no one could complain, and the stalker wave releasing right on top of the spirit wave lead stormy to a quiet reception. i trust everyone is happy with him and he will end up in many top 5 lists.
5)bats -the extra head is so good
6)croc master- the sleeper hit
7)tomax & zamot -my surprise favs.
8)alley vipers -the load out is dope, and im nostalgic for them.
9) sgt. slaughter -really needs that saluting hand!
10)spirit -i dont like freedom as much as i had hoped.
honorable mention goes to Dusty (i really wanted the helmet to have soft goods. not to mention lack of a sidearm). cobra officer really couldve made the list too.
biggest let down was dr. mindbender! first thing i did was ditch the cape. they shouldve went plastic cape in this instance. not even a dope box and good accessories can save this half naked bald guy from my disdain.
i didnt get serpentor so hes not on my list.
Croc Master is my favorite GI Joe release this year. He's a cool looking figure and him coming with some crocodiles is a nice bonus. I'm looking forward to Shipwreck coming out next year.

Zarana is one of the best female figures Hasbro has done in years.
There’s no way that people knew that here not even a full year later……we would be able to get Zarana, Crimson Guards, Tomax, Zamot for $5 & $6 a piece and Sgt.Slaughter for $13. Ollie’s and Ross have been gold mines!

I agree about the Serpentor "time period" thats when things got GREAT. As a kid interested in history and science, Serpentor was one of the coolest ideas ever. One Deluxe figure I want made next is Battle Armor Cobra COmmander! I think that would translate very well. for this line.
I actually really liked the initial release of Gung Ho, due to the fact that the Classified series is more of a modern, updated interpretation of the characters, mixing grounded reality with science fiction. The Retro carded one looks great, but the tactical loving side of my brain tells me his colors are way too bright on the battle field LOL
I agree with you on that, hope the classified series continues to update certain designs here and there and doesn’t go full retro
Except the buck they used for Gung Ho is way too big and top heavy. 😂
@@desert_hunter83 it's the same buck used for Roadblock. The flack jacket and back pack might make it a little top heavy, but you just have to be strategic when posing him.
Very good list dude! Your Top 3 are the same as mine, though I might bump Croc Master up to #2 and drop Slaughter to #3? Such a fantastic year for 2022! There really wasn't a true dud in the entire 2022 Classified lineup. 2023 looks like it may give 2022 a run for its money!

o man so hard to watch this. I am supposed to be out the Gi Joe game. I just had to pass at target and it was so hard. If I buy more I wnt stop lol. I was not into Joes as a kid but the these new figs are so cool. I had to make that tough choice so I am trying to not further the collection. Not sure what I should do. Nice list.

I wish I had at least 10 Joes from 2022 but for the ones I do have here's my order. 5. Retro Baroness 4. Cobra B.A.T 3. Zarana 2. Storm Shadow 1. Sgt. Slaughter. Since I missed out on the Serpentor the good ol Sgt is definitely remaining my number 1 figure.
Never realized how dope these figures are. I do have Sarge but daaammn that croc master and Serpentor are next level!
I agree that TF Outback is the most slept on figure in the line. He looks gruff, experienced, and badass!!
croc master is the figure that finally got me into the line! But now I'm playing catchup on the rest of the early ones
I found many of these at discount stores for 6 bucks!
This was a great year for this line. Sustained Amazing releases throughout the year.

this line stumbled out of the gate so hard. Taking that 'ollllll business step back though, it's clear that they wanted to tease out the figures that we actually wanted to have. It's a cheap trick to give us versions that we aren't in love with before giving us the ones that we actually do want, but it's a business after all. So glad that we're past that point and they're cranking out the hits now.
Series 1 was based on the video game looks for the new game at the same time

My fav that I have is Spirit. Him and Quick kick were my two favs as a kid. Love this figure!
But my number 1 would be Serpentor(although I don't have him yet). Loved him as a kid. This is the ultimate Serpentor figure!!
Looking forward to the super 7 ultimate Joe's. Love the cartoon look.
If I find Spirit cheap enough I may have to pick him up just for the eagle and make him Eagly to display with Peacemaker.

I have Spirit . He is my number 1 in my opinion. I'm getting,Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow,and the Baroness next. I love Kyle's top 10 as well.

Used acetone to get the staining off my dr mindbender. No doubt they'll do a carded with hopefully a cobra emblem on a better cape.
Only started collecting gi joe figures christmas last year only have 6 classified so far outback, classic storm shadow and alpha commando snake eyes are my absolute faves
Well did a lot of preorders on this line. Still waiting the Crimson Twins, Zarana, Viper 3pack, and last Dusty (need to still get a Crimson Guard)
Want to get some others preordered but we'll Gamestop having issues on figure preorders in store.
It's bad that 4 of these I havent opened yet. Those 4, Croc Master, Spirit, Storm Shadow, and TF Outback.
My only gripe with Serpentor. They shoulda snuck in a slot for an arrow in his head. If read the marvel run back then you remember that moment in the Cobra Civil War. It beats what happens to Serpentor in the DiC era.

2023 is looking to be reallllly good for GI Joe. I can't wait for Recondo, Bazooka, Falcon, and Big Ben. Falcon and Big Ben especially will be great for custom soldiers of Vietnam troops and SAS. My ultimate wishlist item are the Vietnam War looks for Stalker, Storm Shadow, and Snake Eyes from the #26 comic.
The issue with Storm Shadow is … HE WAS EASY TO FIND … if he was harder to catch EVERYBODY WOULD BE RAVING ABOUT HIM OR RANTING

Please play “The Final Countdown” for the intro song to The Super Countdown. Stalker was phenomenal. You should have been allowed to bend the rules for Classified and give a 10A & 10B, etc., just fit them all in. Such a great year.

I still like the original release of Gung Ho with some gridiron studios weaponry. The new hiya toys version is the best of both worlds.
Top 3 would be Serpentor,Slaughter, then the B.a.t.. Even though Croc Master was good too.
TF Outback and Serpentor are locked in an eternal struggle for that number one spot, for me. They're both excellent figures, but something about Old Man Outback just won't let me relegate him to the number two spot. All in all, I am pretty happy with the Classified line so far. I can't wait to see what they release/announce in 2023.
Old man Outback has a lot of similar vibes to old man Hawkeye a few years back
I always watched GI Joe but MOTU and TNNt was my tops but I have almost grabbed some of these and Outback has been my favorite I always look at them but can't pull the trigger to buy them lol

I don't consider the retro cardbacks the same as classified its another line I think. Good list I would just have Crimson Guard instead of retro Gung Ho.

Why are they $45 each? That's to expensive! Toys R US wants $45 each. So people are paying over $90 just for 2 figures.

@@danielmilliken8903 GI Joe classified figures cost $45 at Toys R US in America. If you buy them online you get them for like $25 or $30. It's a lot cheaper online. And I sell toys and video games online so I know exactly how much they cost.

Yeah the packaging really sux on all of them and the art work is awful give us the file cards the figures are alot better than the first ones nobody wants reimagined gi joe figures .give us what we want and it will sell.and a nemesis enforcer to go with the sargent slaughter and a cobra commander with a extra snake head

They have finally gotten these figured out and have found their groove. The Storm Shadow and Spirit figs are spectacular.
Still not getting many on the pegs in my area SW Missouri. I still haven't been able to find a BAT in the wild
