    Hey Bradley, thanks for this video that I watched many times in anticipation of the arrival of my own F80. It just arrived today and I came back to this great video to help me set it up conveniently (especially the legs).
    I hope you are well and return to making videos soon.

    Awesome content Bradley, I love your way of producing videos. I have a question for you, I own a F80 now but going to use it on the end of this year, still waiting for the new house and brewery to finish but one thing is unclear for me: What to do during a cold crash on the F80 on pressure, keep feeding CO2 on a inlet of the unitank? With my SS brewtech I kept feeding CO2 to the fermenter to avoid a vacuum but how do you do it? Cheers Bradley, keep posting the great videos! 🍻

    • @PortlyGentleman
      @PortlyGentleman  Год назад

      Hey I'm also a fan? Watched your content for years. New brewery builds are fun. Mine has taken longer than anticipated. Hopefully I'll have my first video out and over a year this week. If the f80 is pressurized then there's no need to keep feeding CO2. If it isn't pressurized I recommend doing that or installing a valve so you can disconnect the air lock essentially. I'm assuming you're worried about sucking sanitizer into the vessel?

Thanks Bradley, I'm happy I found your channel and thanks to all your videos I went from like "no, thats Brewtools brewing system is too complex for me" to "I want nothing but B40pro and I want lot of valves and accessoires". Great video mate. I've recently ordered an F40 cant wait for it to arrive. How are you heating the unit atm? I need away to heat also where I live is either stinking hot or freezing cold. I seen they are bringing a heating option out but that doesn't help me now. A video of your setup with heating and cooling would be mint 👌

    For the racking arm seal it's better to use ptfe orings, instead of silicone of epdm's. The ptfe ring slide even without lubricant. This was an absolute game changer for me.

    Hi Bradley, thanks for the great content so far. Keep it up! Looking into getting a BT unitank and considering what to use for temperature control. Is it compatible with any of the smaller glycol chillers on the market? What would you recommend? I heard BT is planning on their own chiller but could not get an expected release date from them. Thanks again from Sweden!

    Why do people talk about these things as though they don't cost an arm and a leg??

    • @PortlyGentleman
      @PortlyGentleman  Год назад

      I think largely because price is relative. If you have the budget, it's not a big deal. If you don't, I would imagine it's quite shocking.
      Having said that, I'm aware there are cheaper options. The beauty of the hobby is that not everyone has to do with the same way on the same equipment 🤷

    • @CrazyAboutVinylRecords
      @CrazyAboutVinylRecords Год назад

      @@PortlyGentleman I don't know if I agree with that. I earn a very good living as an Information Technology professional and can easily afford these things. That doesn't mean I don't think they are expensive. Several months ago I dropped over $10,000 for a turntable, tonearm, and phono cartridge. It was within my budget but it still was a lot of coin to blow on a turntable. When someone else suggests they may want to buy one I make sure they are aware of what kind of cash outlay they are looking at to get one.
