- Hey everyone, there were plenty of brilliant moments involving Alva in HFW, and here are some of my favourites!

I like the subtle look of shock when she first sees Aloy long before we realize why.
I looked this video up to see that after just seeing that part
Alva was a breath of fresh air. All of Aloy's allies were hunters or soldiers or Beta, the one who works in the Base. But Alva fills this niche of the field researcher. My first impression was: 'This is like Sylens if Sylens wasn't a self-serving emotionless logician'. But she comes across as so much more than that, she genuinely wants to take her curiosity and put it to good use. The mission with finding Leviathan is a good example of that where she starts looking at the Ancestors and their deeds on an individual level after being disillusioned by both Visser and Faro.
WRT her focus: I just think of it as she scooped out the old one and copied across the data before putting the new one under it like some kinda data-eating hermit crab. Or y'know she just wears the new one underneath the old one. Aloy wears hers under hemlets a lot depending on what armor you use.
Yeah I completely agree and your Sylens comment made me laugh 😂 hopefully we see them both interact with eachother next!

Must be just me then, but I find Alva one of the most irritating characters in the game.
Yeah, like with Beta given how the majority of the team is and rightfully so I like that we still have 1 or 2 members who aren’t fighters, having those 2 there to do different things makes it feel much more like a functioning unit
Alva is just ridiculously adorable! 😆 Its just too damn wholesome when she gets excited! She's probably my fave character out of the new ones that have been introduced
I think the decorative thing Alva wears is just a shell containing and protecting the Focus, as it seems fit the Quen Style more, then the style Faro's devices have. So she can use the new Focus, without changing her looks.

I loved Alva, so excited about new data, so here's her best moments 🙂
The first scene speaks such volumes about how much Aloy is a good person that after Alva explaind why she is there all of Aloy's instincts were probably telling her this girl is a threat and should be put down immediately but she didn't pull the trigger and gave Alva a chance.
Two possiblities:
- Alvas Focus got a firmware update. So it is the same hardware but a newer version. That would totally make sense, because Aloy sad Alvas can't read newer file-formarts. A firmware update could fix that. No hardware update necessary.
- The white thing on Alvas head is just a mount or holder where the Focus is put inside. (Compare with in-ear and over-ear headphones)
God, she's so cute. I get why her and Aloy immediately hit it off.
Hands down best side character in the game. Whenever she got excited about things i was in tears !

Honestly Alva shouldn't have to deal with all the crap some of Quen put her through. She's too sweet and kind.

Alva and her focus... I think it is ALL of them and their Focusses:
Metal parts hidden underneath this "headband" - so the power is not with the ancestors but with these religious numb-nuts.
They rule - they can not be "second-hand-rulers" me thinks. So they created these headbands to redirect peoples thoughts.
Usual behaviour of religions always and everywhere.

she is very adorable but she will also need to visit kven therapist because she has been traumatized by seeing giant scary machines like slitherfang dreadwing and thunderjaw

Why didn’t Aloy just kill Alva in those first few moments when they met?

He was a complex person that made terrible mistakes that ruined everything.

The way I see it, it's is like a one huge complex map. You can never tell exactly where to go. Everythings so huge and full of color, it can get very splitting and really confusing.
