Dan - if you need any help/support/advice on bending/folding the flashings, Copings and gutters please give me a shout. I have two sheet metal fabrication factories in the UK so we can happily give you advice on designing and fabricating complicated corners/rainwater falls etc.
That stonemason is a genius, what a beautiful job he did on those crumbling walls. Surely his talents will be needed again before this project is finished.
My step-dad died last weekend. He LOVED watching your channel and we often watched you together. Seeing your progress on Chateau Chaumont bought him a lot of joy and I want to thank you for that.
My husband was likewise a supporter of your channel. He loved to 'be there' with you doing all the work. We watched you daily. Thank you for all your hard work, not only with the chateau but with these videos. He died a month ago. I still enjoy them.
Three harder working men I have never seen. You are all accomplished and are good at figuring things out and yet you appear to get along well. Bravo. Dan you picked the right two men to help you build your future with.
I can’t even believe that I’ve been allowed to watch this transformation from the garden to the turret! Amazing! Another amazing work is the stonemason, he is an artist! That wall is a work of art!
Having 3 great guys on site who work together so well... no BS, no posturing over who knows more or 'my way or the highway' attitude, just let's get er done... priceless. It's always a pleasure watching you 3 work in sync.
He did a fantastic job with the stonework. So glad you found a person who does great work. He's a keeper. Overall it's coming together. You all work so well together.
Boy, that Nick knows his stuff, a clever tactician for getting heavy objects moved safely! You boys are excellent at working smarter not harder. Bravo!
I continue to be blown away by seeing Chaumont with the three "covered" roofs. Amazing. I can't believe what you've accomplished in the past year and a bit. Well done you!
Think there should be a big SHOUT OUT to Axminster Tools who took a punt on Dan and provided amazing tools for his restoration. They are a fantastic company to deal with.
First comment here. I started watching when the place was filled with rubble, looking like it would take years to clear it all. Never mind building anything. You are all an inspiration to this old man living on the West Coast of Canada. I hope I live to see it lived in again. Thank you boys!!
The stone mason did a great job. He would be great asset to get the turret up and repair that beautiful arch. Thanks for the video. We have been missing you. Glad you're back. 😊
You hit the jackpot with your stone Mason, hes very talented.,every but of work that is done is incredible though..just moving that work shop is great..everything dry and easier access..love the way you organise the lifts of all this equipment..it must have taken some thinking about..well done on another amazing day ❤
Nick’s contribution to this project is invaluable. He obviously has many years of experience figuring things out on a practical level. 😊The younger men benefit from his expertise and listen to his suggestions. Without Nick on the build you’d be weeks behind where you are now. Old guys rule !
Pretty sure Axminster will be as keen as the rest of use for next week with there new toys being shown off and explained and used. Well done Axminster in having faith and supporting this project. Bet they did not imaging over 1/2 million subscribers.
Nothing gets the woodworking juices flowing like new equipment in the workshop. Dan, you did it right. Well done! Also, keep showing the work of this mysterious mason who is doing such great work. A real craftsman.
You are having a far reaching impact on a whole generation of builders and restorers by modeling what can be accomplished with a dream, good planning, and hard work. Thank you for that.
And someday those heavy tools will have to come back down. That looked impossible but these three guys make it possible!! The stone work down stairs looks amazing!!
As the saying goes.......prep is 99% of the work. As long as you prepare for what you are doing, the actual project will be much easier. We'll done gentlemen!!
You lads must think that your fans have nothing else to do other than to watch you move machinery around. Well, you're right! Maybe it's that you 3 get along so well together, with no stomping off because someone else wants to do something differently. Maybe it's because you're progressing so (relatively) quickly that we're afraid we will miss something. Maybe it's the puppies. Yes, that's it. The puppies. Whatever it is, you've got us hooked. To have over 90k views after only 3 hours of posting, you're doing everything right!
Not true! As a fan of the channel I watch every cast although late as I run a very busy kitchen! I labour as hard as Chaumont Team does! It gladdens my heart as I love restoration and fine food built well.
You three are amazing daredevils! Bringing the machinery into the "living room"! The stone work is more than amazing too, well done to the stone mason!
Thank you so much for having us follow along on this amazing important restoration. Your determination for doing things right honors the original workmanship in the best way possible. You and all your friends lending their time and talents are doing amazingly with everything you touch.
I'm gladA Axminster tools finally got finally got some recognition for their incredibly generous donation. TThose goodies will certainly make life easier for you. It's all.coming along, looking amazing. And the stone mason...what a man!!
Great to see all that expensive Axminster equipment moved safely. The stone walls and brick arches are absolutely gorgeous. I hope things work out for that mason to do at least some of the massive amount of stone and brick work still waiting to be done.
Beautiful stone work, amazing to see all the floor and ceiling joist, the roofs, all the equipment, your friendship with each other and those big leather chairs! So so happy for you Dan.
Omg 😱 Dang woooooooow !!!! Dangling machinery … nuts but impressive!! Axminster 🤣🤣🤣will be having a quadruple heart attack .. what a amazing achievement and ambassador for their products … Oh Good morning team 😊… See you tomorrow ❤
I'm glad you hired a stone Mason to work on the Chateau. Wise idea to hire it out. You look so much more relaxed since your holiday and seeing this work done is great. Again Brian and Nick helping out is great.
Just that pile of copper alone raised the value of this place by at least a cool million, that crap isn't cheap. People hit the like and subscribe buttons. These guys deserve the respect. Those machines are awesome, can't wait to see them put to use. Awesome video Dan. 👍👍👍
OMG - I was holding my breath through a lot of this episode. I know how heavy, dangerous and hard it is to have moved those pieces of equipment. Well done, gentlemen.
Wow, the work the stonemason did is just gorgeous! So solid and you can see the structure along with the details of matching the stone “patterns.” How great it was to find him. And that is a lot of work moving an entire workshop of equipment but then UPstairs! I can hardly believe the hydraulic lift pulled that heavy machinery up but we saw it. You guys definitely deserve some great food and drink at the pub.

TRUE THAT!!!
What's his name, location? Or doesn't he want to be known world wide?
Dan recognised his talents a while ago and asked if he could work at the chateaux.. expect he will keep him at all possible.
A keeper maison
Absolute Genius Most Definitely a Keeper for Definite 👍 👏 💯👏👍💯
Beautiful stonework, made to last another few hundred years, and bravo to Axminster for providing those professional tools.

Well done too Axminster for supporting the channel I have used them myself for some small tooling.

Regular viewers must be excused a wry smile at the thought of the chateau being equipped with a professional dust collection system!

The range and scale of projects the three of you tackle without blinking an eye boggles the mind.
It's neat to see that closing the roof has had the immediate effect of allowing you to start moving your tools to better locations
You are having a far reaching impact on a whole generation of builders and restorers by modeling what can be accomplished with a dream, good planning, and hard work. Thank you for that.
I'm so happy to see the stonemasons work, absolutely beautiful!
Thank you for taking us on this adventure.

As the saying goes.......prep is 99% of the work. As long as you prepare for what you are doing, the actual project will be much easier. We'll done gentlemen!!

So the first thing you move is an industrial Coffee Machine !
I can't believe you were even able to get that equipment through the Chateau, let alone upstairs. Mind blown.
You’re living the dream sir. That shop is six figures just in the dimensioning tools. Insane. You’re going to be able to make amazing stuff with them.
Its a whole new gig... so much machinery and the resurrection of the Turret....awesome!
And a name for the stone mason? Hope he becomes a team member?
